353 Meeting the Prisoner

"I didn't believe when I heard that a person was capable of this and especially a cultist." Elder Chiyo said as she opened the door of the cell and there he was Hidan wrapped in a white tape with something written on it.

"Everyone stay on alert...he will attack the moment the seals are deactivated." Kakashi said and everyone got into a stance to attack.

"That won't be necessary." Yami said as he stepped further and tore the talisman with the seal imprinted on it. This immediately deactivated the seal. Just as Kakashi had guessed Hidan didn't waste a single second and pounced on the very first person that was in front of him.

Unfortunately for Hidan, that person turned out to be Yami. Just as he pounced with his red eyes and maniac-type look, Chiyo along with the others was about to jump and stop Hidan but the very next second, they saw dark red tentacles come out of Yami's back and rushed toward Hidan. There were 4 tentacles and each of them stabbed one hand or leg. With the same momentum, the tentacles pinned Yami to the wall.

Seeing this, Neji and the others were taken aback. They had never seen Yami use anything like this. Even Guy was surprised when he saw this. He didn't think that his student would have such a kekkai genkai.

"W-What is this? The amount of heat and energy each tentacle is radiating is tremendous." Baki said with his mouth open as he looked at the tentacles. He subconsciously lifted his hand and was about to touch the tentacle that was close to him but Kakashi held his shoulder. Everyone except Yami looked back at Kakashi for this.

They didn't know what it was but now seeing Kakashi's expression and his action, it was clear that he knew about this beforehand.

Kakashi shook his head and said "Don't even think of touching it. It is scorch release...a kekkai genkai we know very little about. Anything that it touches will lose all kinds of moisture."

Hearing this Baki quickly pulled back his hand. Neji and the others looked at the stabbed hands and legs of Hidan which now looked as if all kinds of life had been taken from them.

"Ugghhhh... it's you again kid." Hidan said as he looked at Yami with eyes filled with hatred. He couldn't swallow the reality that a kid had defeated him not just in terms of strength but also wits.

Elder Chiyo called out Hidan and said "How dare you criminal try to kidnap the Kazekage in front of the hidden sand? Do you think we are this weak?"

Hidan narrowed his eyes and looked at Chiyo and said "If it wasn't for this kid's meddling, we would have taken your Kazekage away. I don't know what you plan to do by capturing me here but there is no chance that I will spill any secrets."

"We know many ways to make you talk. At the end of the day you will be begging for death to that Lord Jashin of yours." Chiyo said. She was about to instruct something to Baki when Yami said "He is right. He cannot feel any pain nor can he be killed easily...there is no use interrogating him."

"Yami...although you are strong, it is wrong to underestimate Elder Chiyo." Baki said.

Kakashi signaled Baki to stop and asked Yami "If you already knew this, why didn't you stop them from taking him as prisoner?"

"And why did you come here with us to meet the prisoner?" Neji asked to which Yami smiled and replied "He may not prove to be a treasure trove of information like we thought but he definitely is a good bait."

Just as Yami finished saying that, the space beside the entire group was less than arm's length from Hidan, distorted. A Hand wearing Akatsuki robes and black gloves appeared from the distorted space and was about to reach Hidan when Yami pulled out a yellow talisman from his pocket and threw it on the wall just outside the jail cell.

Everyone including Hidan and the owner of that hand was confused as to what Yami was trying to accomplish by this but then as soon as the talisman touched the wall, the words written in black started glowing and then lines of glow started appearing and spread out throughout the hallway. Within seconds, 7 more talismans appeared everywhere in the hallway.

The arm that appeared from the distorted space grabbed onto Hidan's shoulder and was about to pull Hidan towards it into the space distortion when the glass-like-looking space started to break.

"These are paper talismans that I got from the Chinoike clan...there are made to lock a place so that anyone can come inside but can't go out. I spent the last night arranging them here." Yami said.

The hand that was trying to pull Hidan froze and a voice came from the distorted space "The Chinoike clan? They weren't lying when they said that you had the Ketsuryugan but how did you time my arrival here?"

Yami shrugged and said "I knew that you would like to see who you are up against. Last time you were able to take someone in front of me but I can't let that happen again...Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice...shame on me."

"You think such a talisman would cause inconvenience to me?" Obito said...he knew that he couldn't just take his arm back now but since he had Hashirama cells and Hidan was practically immortal, he had nothing to worry about.

Gaara and the others didn't know what to say to all this. They didn't think Yami would plan this ahead.

Kakashi chuckled and said "Being away from you for 2 years really made me forget what kind of a person you are. I should have known you must have a reason for coming here."

Obito also chimed in the middle and said "I must commend you...you are a step ahead of Itachi..sad that he didn't live to see his brother become like this. I will take my leave for now...but I will be back for Hidan again soon."

Obito was about to close the opened space and cut off his arm. He let go of Hidan but then Obito had an ominous feeling. He didn't know what was wrong but he felt that something terrible was about to happen.

He looked at Yami who was now smirking and had one hand on the hilt of his sword and Obito understood that Yami had something else in store as well.

Yami held his sword and instantly activated his devouring law. Due to the long sleeves of his kimono, no one was able to see his hand turning black. Just as his black hand unsheathed the sword, the sword got covered in purple lightning with something black flashing from time to time. Before Obito could make any move, Yami twisted the sword upside down pointing the sharp side upwards, and slashed the sword up cleanly cutting off Obito's arm.

Inside the orange mask of his, Obito's eyes widened as this pain felt not just of his arm getting severed but also some kind of burning sensation. He couldn't help but scream loudly as his arm fell to the ground.

"AAAAAA" Obito screamed in agony.

Just as that happened, Hidan looked to the side and understood that he wasn't going to get pulled into the space for rescue anymore so he tried to jump toward the distorted space.

"Take me " Hidan shouted with an arm stretched toward the distorted space but he felt a chill run down his spine.

He didn't have the time to even look back and understand what had caused this because four scorch-release tentacles wrapped around his body.

But this time the tentacles weren't bright orange or red but black in color. Elder Chiyo and the others could feel the power these black tentacles were radiating and none of them wanted to be a target of them. As soon as the tentacles touched Hidan's body, the immortal body started to get destroyed but instead of flesh and blood, it was getting destroyed into direct ash.

The four tentacles completely wrapped his body and within seconds, his entire body was broken into 3 pieces and evaporated into ash.

"W-What just happened?" Baki asked. He couldn't believe what just happened in front of him. Seeing the power that was used just now in this prison cell, Baki was convinced that this wasn't a fight he could participate in. He would die without even knowing what happened. He couldn't even see when Yami unsheathed and cut Obito's arm...it all happened in a flash and the next second, Hidan was getting turned into ash from the tentacles coming out of Yami's back.
