Naruto: The Wandering Blacksmith

Ryu lives with his father, Haru, in a small village in the land of water where he helps his father with their blacksmithing business. However, the father and son pair are not as they seem. When Shinobi appear on their doorsteps looking to kill them, Ryu is forced to venture into the harsh world of Shinobi with only the Transformation Jutsu that his father taught him for blacksmithing. Watch Ryu as he hones his skill and becomes a legend the likes of which have never been seen in the multiverse. (By the way, the tag says OP for a reason, Ryu will end up so broken. Like OAA level. And there won't be any cheats, Ryu will discover the multiverse and explore it all with his own power. If you're wondering how such heresy is possible, especially in a Naruto fic, go read the fanfic. Honestly, I made it my personal mission to torment all the power scalers that will read this.) I don't own the image, I can barely write my name in an understandable way much less draw something like that, so if the original artist (TorinoGT from what I found on Wallpaper Abyss) wants it taken down message me. I also don't own Naruto, but I think that's obvious. I mean, if I did own it, I sure as hell wouldn't write fanfictions about it... I'd also be rich :-( One last thing, as of writing this, I'm on what's called in my country "Year of Service" where we go volunteer for a year around the country before going to the military. The workdays are 13~ hours and I live with like 7 other people in a tiny apartment so that's fun. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that my upload schedule will be awful and one chapter a week will be lucky, so be warned.

Chapter 100 - Ship

"You want to play it like that?" Yoruihci said in fake anger as she channeled a large part of her strength into a swing that collided with the seawater, creating a giant wave that drowned Ryu.

Seeing Ryu's wet hair bury his eye, Yoruichi let out a lively laugh. However, Ryu immediately started moving toward her with a vengeful gaze, causing Yoruichi to turn tail and swim with all her might.

Yoruichi darted ahead of Ryu, her agile body cutting through the water with ease. Ryu followed suit, the two engaging in an impromptu race. The water churned around them as they kicked and splashed, their somewhat maniacal laughter echoing throughout the empty beach.

Yoruichi, always the trickster, suddenly used Shunpo to appear behind Ryu, playfully tugging at his ankle before swimming off in a burst of speed. Ryu, not one to be outdone, used his own speed to easily catch up before grabbing her ankle and ruthlessly spinning her around in the water with a vengeful smile.

Yoruichi, letting the fact that she was underwater escape her, let out an energetic laugh which resulted in her swallowing a large mouthful of seawater. As Yoruichi coughed out the water, Ryu couldn't help but laugh at the hysterical situation, earning him a strong jab from Yoruichi.

Having enough of just swimming, the two decided to dive down to the reefs.

The couple marveled at the myriad of fish that darted around them, their scales reflecting a dazzling array of hues as they moved in harmony. Ryu and Yoruichi took turns imitating the fluid motion of the fish, their bodies gracefully weaving in and out of the swaying underwater plants. They silently laughed at each other's attempts to blend in with the marine life, their playful banter visible in their movements.

As they ventured further, they discovered a coral forest filled with intricate formations that seemed to reach out and grasp at the sunlight filtering through the water. The corals were a living tapestry of pink, purple, and orange, creating a breathtaking backdrop for their underwater escapades. The duo swam through the narrow passages between the coral structures, marveling at the complex patterns and shapes that unfolded before them.

Yoruichi was particularly captivated by the variety of sea anemones scattered among the coral, their delicate tentacles waving gently in the current. She carefully reached out to touch one, the anemone's tentacles retracting and then re-emerging to wrap around her finger in a tickling embrace. Ryu soon followed suit, intrigued by the sensation of the anemone's gentle touch.

As they continued their lively exploration, Ryu and Yoruichi discovered a cave hidden beneath an overhang of coral. Yoruichi and Ryu exchanged keen glances before venturing into the dimly lit cavern. Fluorescent algae lined the walls, casting an eerie yet enchanting glow that illuminated the cave's interior. The duo laughed as they drew patterns on the walls with their fingers, leaving glowing trails of light that shimmered in the darkness.

Eventually, Ryu and Yoruichi emerged from the cave and ventured into deeper waters, where they encountered a group of playful dolphins. The dolphins seemed to sense the Ryu and Yoruichi's joyful energy and eagerly joined in their games, leaping and twirling around them in a display of aquatic acrobatics. Ryu and Yoruichi swam alongside the dolphins, gently petting the cute animals.

Finally, the two felt that they had explored enough and returned to the shore.

Ryu and Yoruichi sat on the golden sand as they started discussing the design of their ship. The sun had dipped below the horizon, and the sky was painted with a breathtaking array of colors, casting a warm glow on their faces.

Eventually, a design was formed, and Ryu conjured it into existence.

Their ship, Iron Whiskers, had a sleek, streamlined hull meant to slice through the waves with feline grace, allowing for increased maneuverability.

The ship's prow boasted an intricately forged iron figurehead, masterfully sculpted to resemble a roaring cat. Its gleaming eyes and curved, razor-sharp whiskers gave it an intimidating appearance.

The hull, in response to the ship's relatively narrow shape, was reinforced with iron plates shaped like cat claw marks, providing both formidable protection and structural strength.

Adorning the Iron Whiskers, the sails were crafted from durable, dark-colored fabric and decorated with cat-eye patterns. At the top of the main mast, was a small platform for a crew member to vigilantly survey the horizon for threats and opportunities alike.

The rigging and ropes, fashioned to resemble cat tails, not only contributed to the ship's bewitching aesthetic but also provided easy-to-grip handles for the crew during navigation and combat.

The Iron Whiskers' armament was equally impressive. Her formidable array of cannons, each embossed with cat motifs, featured an ingenious cat's paw loading mechanism. The anchors, forged in the shape of a cat's claws, dug deep into the seabed, providing unwavering stability and security.

Within the ship, the captain's quarters were a sight to behold. Luxurious cat-themed tapestries and furniture adorned the room, with a grand, super-king-size bed. Throughout the vessel, blacksmithing equipment stood at the ready, allowing for on-the-spot repairs and weapon modifications as needed.

The crew quarters and common areas of the Iron Whiskers were embellished with cat murals and feline-inspired decor.

"It's perfect!" Yoruichi declared, her eyes shimmering with excitement.

Ryu frowned, scratching his head as he surveyed the ship. "I think this is leaning a bit too heavily on the cat theme," he commented.

Yoruichi's smile remained, but her eyes lost their sparkle. "𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 it's perfect," she insisted, a subtle edge to her voice. Ryu couldn't help but swallow nervously.

"Well, I guess it is," he conceded with an awkward chuckle, joining Yoruichi as they boarded the ship.

Leaning against one of the masts, Yoruichi inquired, "So, where are we headed?" Ryu summoned a crew of Shinobi to man the ship while he considered their destination.

"I noticed a large city on the opposite side of the island. Maybe we should visit there?" Ryu suggested, hoping to gain Yoruichi's approval.

"Sounds like a plan," Yoruichi agreed, smirking as she nimbly climbed the mast. She settled onto the platform at the top, ready to savor the view.

"That looks like a nice place," Ryu chuckled as he teleported himself to appear alongside Yoruichi on the platform, sitting beside her with his arm around her shoulders.

The ship sliced through the crystalline waters, leaving a trail of froth in its wake as it leisurely navigated around the island. The Shinobi slowly learned their way around the ship, using the small journey as a learning experience.

As they circled this island, Ryu and Yoruichi saw that its landscape was a symphony of contrasts: rolling sand dunes, punctuated by the occasional vibrant oasis, met the occasional jagged rocky coastline. It seemed that Ryu and Yoruichi were quite lucky to fall on such a beautiful beach. Each scenery was more captivating than the last, as the ship revealed hidden coves and imposing cliffs that seemed to defy gravity.

High above the deck, Ryu and Yoruichi reveled in the stillness of their secluded perch. A gentle breeze rustled their hair, carrying with it the mingled scents of the sea and the arid desert. Seagulls soared overhead, their cries harmonizing with the rhythmic lapping of waves against the ship's hull. The world below them seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them suspended between the endless sky and the vast ocean.

The setting sun was already beautiful, setting the sky ablaze with hues of orange, pink, and purple melded together. But now that Ryu and Yoruichi were high above the water, they could appreciate the sight even more. The water below reflected the breathtaking spectacle, transforming the sea into a shimmering mirror of the celestial canvas.

"How about we get some rest? The Shinobi will wake us up when we arrive," Ryu proposed, his voice gentle as he sat at the edge of the platform with Yoruichi. Their legs dangled carelessly below them, swaying in time with the ship's motion.

"That sounds lovely," Yoruichi agreed, her smile soft and inviting. With a playful tug, she pulled Ryu back with her, his arm curling around her shoulders to create a makeshift pillow.

As they lay there, the golden hues of the sunset illuminated Yoruichi's serene expression. Ryu couldn't help but admire her peaceful beauty, and at that moment, he felt a warmth spread through his chest. With a contented sigh, he closed his eyes, allowing the day's adventures to lull him into a deep, restorative sleep beside her.
