Prologue

Konohagakure, The Land of Fire,

The village went silent as the night broke out, it was unusual for the villagers of Konohagakure to lock themselves this early as it was usually lively during this hour. But, today it was something different. The recent tensions between the land of fire and land of water are about to be developed in a full-fledged war between the Village Hidden in the Leaves and the Village Hidden in the Mist.

Amidst the silence of the night, a shadow loomed over the village, gazing at the Namikaze household that was situated in the southeast of the Hokage Residence, near the Uzumaki, Hyuuga, and Uchiha households. The shadow stood atop the newly built Hokage monument, on which the faces of Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage, Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, and Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage were carved from the rocks.

The shadow gazed at the silent village and commented in a soft tone, "It's been a while, isn't it Konoha?"

Time to finish the unfinished business, I am coming for your heads Namikaze!" the shadow added with murderous intent as he jumped off the monument without a second thought.

The Shadow swiftly hopped over the houses in the village guiding himself through the cramped spaces as if the village itself was imprinted in his mind. He, who had helped his friend and rival, Hashirama Senju in establishing this village has only one dream, 'to make the Uchiha Clan, the most prominent one within the shinobi world.' And the only obstacle left, is the Namikaze Clan which happens to gain confidence and consideration from Hashirama and Tobirama Senju as well as the people of Konohagakure as one of the great clans.

"You get rid of everything that stands in between of your ambitions, don't you, Madara?"

The moment the shadow laid his eyes on the Namikaze Household, a thought crossed his mind, a question once asked by his dearest friend and rival, 'Hashirama Senju, the first Hokage'. He remembered how he established a peace treaty between the Senju Clan and Uchiha Clan which he hoped had lasted longer but, the ill-treatment of Uchihas and trying to completely remove his clan to hold any power infuriated Madara who regarded his clan above all.

"Hashirama, I know the things I have done are unforgivable, and the same goes for the thing that I am going to do. Please forgive me, I am about to break our promise."

Madara jumped off the building and landed on the flat ground at the entrance of the Namikaze Household. He walked through the stone archway that had a shuriken made on the top of it, the symbol of the Namikaze Clan. Madara made his way to the centre where the houses were aligned closely and stopped amid the street.

Madara puffed up his cheeks and yelled at the top of his voice "Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"

Immediately, a sea of flames was expelled from Madara's mouth that engulfed the houses of the Namikaze Clan. He immediately activated the doujutsu, Mangekyo Sharingan, and observed in silence as there was a chaotic situation within the household. He gazed at the people who were running out of the houses and hurled at the confused members of Namikaze Clan, killing them in one swift blow with his Ninjato.

Madara slaughtered several people amidst the chaos while people were too occupied by the fire that engulfed the houses, so they cannot pinpoint the position of the attacker who was killing the people. Soon, the number of slaughtered ones outnumbered the living ones. The ones who lived were focusing on evacuating the children and infants.

"Listen, everyone! this is an invasion. First of all, divide the remaining ones into two groups, one who will evacuate the remaining villagers, and two who will stay and fight the unknown invader." ordered a man with golden yellow hair with a scratched leaf headband on his forehead.

Another man with the golden hair interrupted, "But, Kirigaya, do you think we can stand against this assassin who is slaughtering our people like sheep."

Kirigaya stared at the man who interrupted him and answered in assurance "I certainly do, but we have to work together until the reinforcements arrive."

"I want one of you to inform the Hyuuga Household to come to our aid since they are the closest who we can rely on." He added

Kirigaya took out two Hiraishin Kunai and steadied himself. He knew if the situation here isn't dealt with, will annihilate the whole clan or maybe the whole village. What he didn't know was that Madara only came for slaughtering the Namikazes, not the villagers. Madara threw three shurikens at Kirigaya while he dashed at him. Kirigaya easily deflected the three shurikens, but to his surprise, he was already stabbed by Madara's ninjato.

A chill went down Kirigaya's spine as Madara whispered into his ears, "Too late to realize, Namikaze. You all are foolish to think that I will be defeated by the likes of you."

A realization struck Kirigaya as he smirked and threw one of the Hiraishin Kunai in the air and teleported to it while he struck the second one in the neck of Madara., "The Ghost of the Uchiha, I see now. I am foolish indeed to think that I can defeat a god. But, you are too foolish to think that I can't see through your deception."

"How can you move?"

"I used my chakra to create a shield around me, your blade didn't penetrate my heart completely. I still have some fight in me."

Suddenly, the person standing in front of him turned into smoke and Kirigaya stood there aghast by the sudden turn of events. He looked around him only to find the place covered with blood, he then realized that he wasn't fighting with Madara but one of his shadow clones, while the real one did the job.

"Again, too late to realize the situation here. I now think you Namikazes are a weak bunch trying to get into the list of the upper echelons. Time to end this once and for all."

Kirigaya clenched his fist and took out one of his Hiraishin Kunai and threw it towards Madara which missed him completely. He immediately teleported himself to the Kunai at the back of Madara and took out two more Kunai which he threw up in the air and towards Madara.

"Flying Thunder God Technique." he cried.

Kirigaya teleported himself to the Kunai he threw up in the air and then immediately teleported himself to the other one. Madara wasn't able to take note of Kirigaya's technique and he calmly waited for him to strike and take the bait which he did. As soon as Kirigaya struck his Kunai, Madara grabbed his neck and started squeezing it slowly.

"This is the end of you and Namikaze Clan. I bid you farewell, last Namikaze. You fought well and I am impressed that among the bugs, there is a man who can fight. Ask anything except your life and I will grant your dying wish." said Madara in his usual calm tone.

"Madara Uchiha! I do not ask for my life but, I would like you to leave my son, Minato Namikaze, the last surviving Namikaze until he can fight properly. He will seek you out and kill you with his hand. Also, remember this Uchiha! he is your bane."

Trivia:

Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village/ Village Hidden in the Leaves) - It is the hidden village of the Land of Fire. As the village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Countries, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage, of which there have been seven in its history. Konoha resides deep within a forest at the base of a mountain known as the Hokage Rock, which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved on it.

It is surrounded by enormous walls on all sides. While generally seen as the most powerful of the ninja villages, Konoha has enjoyed many years of relative peace and stability.

Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation - The pinnacle of Uchiha Fire Release techniques, chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth and shaped into a literal sea of flames, which covers a wide range as well. This makes the technique extremely difficult to either avoid or contain, with it requiring the combined efforts of several Water Release users to extinguish the flames.

Doujutsu (Visual Jutsu) - (literally meaning: eye techniques.) It is a category of Jutsu where the shinobi uses their eyes to perform a technique.

Mangekyo Sharingan - (literally meaning: Kaleidoscope Copy Wheel Eye) is an advanced form of the Sharingan that has only been activated by a handful of Uchiha. They are noted to be the "heavenly eyes that see the truth of all of creation without obstruction."

Chakra - It is a substance native to lifeforms on some planets. Since being spread by Hagoromo, better known as the Sage of Six Paths, chakra has become a form of life energy that all individuals produce to some degree; those who run out of chakra will die.

Ninjato - (literally meaning: Weapon used by a Ninja.) The ninjatō is typically depicted as being a short sword, often portrayed as having a straight blade with a square guard. Usually of a length "less than 60 cm", the rest of the sword is comparatively "thick, heavy and straight".
