47 Chapter 46: Dreams
"I hope you're not weak, otherwise you're gonna be a useless sensei." Jiraiya said with a cocky smile on his face.
"How could a jonin be weak you idiot." Orochimaru said to Jiraiya.
"Who are you calling an idiot, Bastard!!!" Jiraiya yelled back at Orochimaru.
"Shut it!!" Tsunade said while hitting them both over the top of the head.
Both sat back down and grumbled under their breaths while bad memories came to mind for Hiruzen.
'It seems that I'll have to try not to get on her bad side.' Hiruzen thought while sweating as he remembered the punches she hit him with when she was only 3 years old.
"So to get to know each other better, how about you each tell me your names, hobbies, likes, dislikes, and what your dream for the future is. I'll go first." Hiruzen said while trying to get back on track.
"My name is Sarutobi Hiruzen. I like learning ninjutsu, training with my teammates, and smoking. I dislike those that wish to harm Konoha. My dream is to become the Hokage one day." Hiruzen said.
'Funny how you become the main supporter of those who harm Konoha after you become the Hokage.' Tsunade thought to herself.
"Well, I guess it's my turn now. My name is Jiraiya. I like training with my friends and going over to Tsunade's house. My dislikes are those who hurt my friends and Orochimaru. My dream is to become the strongest in the world and.." he then looked at Tsunade as a small blush appeared on his cheeks.
"You forgot to say that you like being an idiot and peeping on hot springs." Orochimaru said.
Jiraiya immediately forgot about what he was thinking as he then turned towards Orochimaru and prepared to yell at him, though a fist to the head promptly shut him up.
Orochimaru, fearing that he might also get hit with a fist, decided to answer Sarutobi instead of lingering on Jiraiya.
"My name is Orochimaru. I like studying ninjutsu, training with my friends, and learning new things. My dislikes include Jiraiya and other annoying people. My dream is to become the Hokage." Orochimaru said to the surprise of Tsunade.
While they had been friends for a few years now, he had never brought up what his dream in life was. Tsunade had never asked since she felt that he may decided to pursue immortality even earlier.
'Maybe that's why Orochimaru really left the village in the original. If that Orochimaru had the same dream, then he had a right to be angry if his sensei chose someone else over him for a position he wanted his entire life.' Tsunade thought to herself.
Hiruzen then looked at her as he said "Your turn Tsunade."
"My name is Tsunade Senju. My likes are learning new ninjutsu, healing others at the hospital, and learning more Fuinjutsu. My dislikes are those who would harm my family and people whose names end with -anzo. My dream is to become the protector of my clan." Tsunade answered while Hiruzen sweatdropped at her dislikes.
"Now that we have introduced ourselves, it's time for you all to prove that you should actually become genin." Hiruzen said.
"What do you mean by proving we should become genin, we already passed the Graduation Exam?" Jiraiya asked.
"While you did pass the Graduation Exam, all jonin sensei have the power to send their genin back to the Academy if we feel that you don't deserve the title. Now follow me." Hiruzen answered before heading in the directions of the training grounds.
Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya followed him at an easy speed while trying to conserve their strength in case they had to battle.
The four finally made it to the training grounds, where Hiruzen took 2 bells out of his pocket causing Tsunade's eyes to shine.
'The Bell Test!!'
"You three will have until noon to take these bells from me." Hiruzen spoke.
"But there are only two, that means someone will have to go back to the Academy." Orochimaru pointed out.
"Exactly." Hiruzen said.
"Now begin!!"
