189 Chapter 183: Capital

~Nagoya~

Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru were able to arrive at the capital the following day, with them immediately going to meet the Minister of Affairs in a hope to get a better grasp on the situation.

"Don't do anything stupid, Jiraiya. We don't have time to deal with your ignorance." Orochimaru said while looking at Jiraiya from the corner of his eye.

"Tch. Stupid bastard." Jiraiya mumbled while Orochimaru simply gave him a smirk, irritating the Toad Sannin even further.

They arrived in a beautiful room that was adorned with designs that made the trio feel as if they were in the presence of nobility.

"Be careful with your words. I shall be the one to speak. Due to me having a claim to the throne, he'll be far more cautious when dealing with me." Tsunade said.

The door then opened to reveal an older man wearing exquisite robes, with him sitting directly opposed from the three Sannin.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Lady Tsunade, Orochimaru, Jiraya. I'm Akio Sato, the current Minister of Affairs and head of the Sato Clan. I've been looking forward to this since the unfortunate passing of the Daimyo and the majority of his family." Akio stated, with Tsunade paying close attention to his phrasing.

"Could you elaborate on what has occurred in the capital since Lord Daimyo's murder?" Tsunade asked.

Akio wasted no time in explaining as he told them about the attempted attacks on the Noble Families as well as the different factions that seemed to be gunning for control over the others.

The rebellion seemed to also be gaining more members as the general populous seemed to be losing faith in the Nobility.

However, Tsunade noticed that the man in front of her didn't seem to hold much worry, as if he knew he wouldn't be affected by the current situation. And she could guess where his confidence came from.

"Lord Sato, earlier, you stated that the majority of the late Daimyo's family met their demise. However, we received no word on any survivors. Could you elaborate on that statement?" Tsunade asked.

Akio smiled as he motioned to one of his servants, causing the woman to leave the room.

"Well, for one, you technically hold an honorary position with the Daimyo's family. Therefore, you could be considered as the person whom I was referring to." Akio teased while Tsunade just stared at the man.

"You're no fun." The man said, with Tsunade swearing she heard both Jiraiya and Orochimaru snicker in the back.

"Well, the Sage seemed to be blessing us, as instead of the entire family being present, a single member was heading towards Konoha with their pet in an attempt to rest in their favorite location. After hearing about the issue, she immediately returned and I hid them, in an attempt to protect her from a follow-up attack. Therefore, allow me to introduce Lady Shijimi." Akio stated.

All three Sannin turned to look at the opening door, with it showing the familiar wife of the Daimyo as she emerged, demonic cat in tow.

"It's a pleasure to see you again Tsuna. I'm happy to see that you are fine throughout all of this. And I am also pleased that Hiruzen chose to send all three of the Legendary Sannin to support us." Lady Shimiji stated while Orochimaru and Jiraiya nodded.

"Lady Shimiji, I am deeply sorry about your loss. I can not begin to fathom how it feels to lose your husband. Can I presume that you will be taking the Daimyo position since I will express that I have no interest in the title?" Tsunade asked.

Lady Shijimi merely nodded and smiled.

"Then, can I perhaps offer for you to relocate to Konoha in an attempt to ensure your safety? It would be the safest location to protect you from." Tsunade added.

"Perhaps we should speak on this tomorrow. I know that you are likely tired and rest will be essential for the stressful talks that we shall have." Lady Shijimi said.

"Very well. Please excuse us." Tsunade said as the three bowed to her and left, leaving only Akio and Shijimi in the room.

"I didn't know you were hurt by your husband's death?" Akio said as he glanced at her.

"You know better than anyone that I dislike the old bastard. Why do you think I spend the majority of my time inside of Konoha? But you do know what they are planning, don't you?" Lady Shijimi asked.

"Yes. They wish to combine the military might and economical might of the Nation to one location. However, I don't believe that it's a bad decision. But ultimately, the choice is yours, Lady Daimyo." Akio said.

Shijimi merely gave a shrewd smile before exiting the room, leaving only Akio in the room.

"Perhaps, this is the best move to protect us from those things." Akio muttered before leaving himself.

[A.N. Was not planning on releasing like this, but put some hearts in the comments for Akira Toriyama.

May he live in peace knowing he inspired generations of children, including myself and my parents.]
