Chapter 168: Implications (II)

~Land of Lightning~

In the Raikage's office, a man who seemed like a monster sat at his desk, the frown on his face evidently showcasing his displeasure at the news he was currently receiving.

Unlike the anger-ridden A that would take over after him, the Third was capable of controlling his emotions, not letting them rule his decision-making.

But, the news that the Land of Lightning's citizens were unhappy was something that surprised him, as their land had arguably the greatest treatment for civilians with how much support the nation gave to smaller towns and Villages.

However, upon closer inspection, he realized that the growth of the displeasure by the civilians seemed to grow far too exponentially to be natural, leading to him determining that there must be some outside factors interfering with the matters.

But, the Daimyo in the Land of Lightning isn't seen as unfavorably as in the other nations, causing him to not wish to make such extreme measures against the rebels.

Instead, he wished for the Raikage to negotiate with them, so that the issue could be resolved as soon as possible.

But the news that the Raikage had just received stated that the diplomats he sent for the Village were found killed, basically proclaiming that the rebels showed no desire for peace.

'Something is not right about this situation. It's as if they...'

It was at that moment that realization dawned on the Raikage, making his eyes widen in disbelief.

'They want the next war to break out! But are they doing this in every nation or just in the Five Great Nations? Either way, I have to start preparing the Village. If I don't then I'd just be a sitting duck with a target on our backs.' The Third Raikage said as he called for his strongest general to join him.

Asuka arrived in his office not a second later, as she stood, ready to take on whatever order her leader would give her, though her expression morphed into one of excitement and shock after hearing his words.

"Begin consolidating our forces into the Village. We are preparing for the next Shinobi World War."

~Land of Water~

In the Village Hidden in The Mist, the Third Mizukage, a man shrouded in mystery, stood in his office as he overlooked his Village.

The man was an enigma in the view of the other Village, with this being due to the Mist's lack of involvement in the Second Great Shinobi World War.

But, this figure had governed the Village for over a decade and a half, making the man a living legend inside of his own Village.

However, to the outside world, little is known about the man, with knowledge of his Kekkei Genkai or other abilities being unknown to many.

And even worse, the nature of the Hidden Mist was one that adored and loved violence

But now, that man saw a prime opportunity on how to re-enter the major scene of the Shinobi World.

'To think that some rebels would choose to oppose the Daimyo. Did they truly believe that we wouldn't wipe them out with no hesitation? Either way, this is a prime opportunity, as if our intelligence is correct, the other nations are facing similar problems. They will need to spark a war to divert the world's attention, and I can use this to gain more lands for the nation instead of simply islands.' The Third Mizukage thought to himself.

The man was one who exemplified cruelty, and he was willing to fully showcase this feature in the next war.

He beckoned for one of his ANBU agents to come down from the ceiling, after which he gave his orders.

"Call for the Seven Ninja Swordsmen to report to my office. And tell them to bring their blades." The man said, his cruel smile evident on his face.

~Land of Wind~

The Kazekage stood at his Village gates, ready to depart on his journey to his nation's capital, with his two ANBU guards surrounding him.

"Ensure that everything is maintained until I return, Lady Chiyo." The Third Kazekage said.

"Don't worry, as long as no monsters come, I'm more than enough to protect the Village." Chiyo said with a smirk as she saw him off.

The Third quickly departed, ready to arrive at the capitol as soon as possible to deal with the situation arising in their nation.

However, unbeknownst to him, a figure quietly followed him in the distance, showcasing the danger the man was currently facing.
