Chapter 156: Plans

Hinato and Kaito audibly gulped as they were stared down by the former Senju Matriarch, the Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails, Mito Senju.

They both hadn't seen the old monster since she gave the position of leader of the Senju away to her daughter and son-in-law.

Just as the two were about to explain, the front door opened again, with it revealing, Ashina, Tobirama, Kuna, Ayako, Haru, and the children entering.

"We're home!! And we brought ramen for everyo-" Ashina's words halted in his throat as he noticed the two Patriarchs sitting in their living room.

"Come on kids, let's go see what Naruto is doing." Ayako said as she led the children out of the room, leading to the remaining adults joining the discussion in the living room, making the already paranoid Patriarchs feel as though their end was near.

'Why the hell does the Second Hokage, The Senju Patriarch, The future and current Uzumaki Patriarchs, The Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails, AND Tsunade Senju all live in the same place!?! You can't tell me that this wasn't a setup.' Kaito thought to himself as sweat dripped down his back due to the intense aura that the people before him were emitting.

However, once he gained control of his emotions, his proud look returned as he spoke "I apologize for intruding at such unforeseen times. It's just that I heard that Lady Tsunade was appointed as my son's teacher, and I simply had to come and meet her to discuss his education." 

"That is precisely the reason why I have come as well." Hinato added.

"Well, what questions do you have? I would love to hear them." Tsunade said as she came down the stairs.

The two Patriarchs glanced at each other as they prepared to formulate their words in a way so that they didn't offend the people before them.

"Well, Lady Tsunade, we have heard many reports on the somewhat grueling nature of your training, something that can push even the strongest to despair. It is due to this that we request that you can make your training a bit more bearable for them, especially if it will be continuous for at least a month." Kaito said with a small smile on his face.

"I'm afraid I'll have to decline. If I were to take them out on missions and they perish due to insufficient strength, I would be quite ashamed of myself. So, I think they'll be fine. After all, wouldn't you wish for the heirs of your clans to hold a higher level of strength by studying under me?" Tsunade asked as she stared at the two.

Both men knew that based on Tsunade's stance, she wouldn't change her opinion any time soon, causing them to simply agree with Tsunade's wishes before leaving.

As Kaito headed back to his Clan Compound, a single thought was lingering in his mind, based fully on the feeling he gained once he laid eyes on them.

'Who was that young boy?'

~ROOT Headquarters~

Inside of one of the rooms in the home base of the ROOT, Koharu and Homura stood before their old comrade Danzo as they discussed the results of the bill.

"I truly didn't expect Hiruzen to vote with us on this bill. I was expecting us to have to introduce limitations on the bill that would allow us to still have the upper hand." Koharu said as she sipped her tea.

"Hiruzen must have had another agenda behind his behavior. He wouldn't have voted with us if he didn't view a reason for him to." Homura responded, with him still pondering on Hiruzen's actions.

"Either way, it is as irrelevant as the entirety of this bill. In both news, I have already begun the implementation of Operation Whiteout in the Land of Fire." Danzo said, making both Homura and Koharu's necks snap towards him.

"Are we fully prepared to initiate it now? After all, we don't have a strong majority in the Village, and we wouldn't need any unforeseen consequences to arise from it." Homura said with worry.

"Even if we are not, it is not us that will face the fallout of the plan. The end result of it will only lead to two inevitable outcomes. Either Hiruzen will fall from grace and lose the title of Hokage in a bid to let himself take the blame for it, or our true target will face the retribution for his depravity and actions that lead the Shinobi World to despair. And if the pillar of the Land of Fire falls, it will be up to Konoha to take its place as the leader of the nation. 

Soon, the Daimyo shall fall."
