3rd exam pt 1

After finding and bringing all the Genin back to the village or bringing the passing ones to the 3rd exam site they got to rest. The rest period was around 3 days and you could do anything you wanted in those days as long as you came back when the time came.

It wasn't long until 3 days had passed and it was time to explain the rules for the next round. Everyone was gathering in the room waiting to be told what the next round was. It didn't take long until everybody was in the room and quiet.

"Hello, everybody, and congratulations on making it this far. The rules for this round are simple, one side will have a client they need to protect while the other needs to attack the client. You will have to fight one another so when somebody is dealt a big wound a jounin will come and take them out of the battle.

Killing is not allowed, but accidents happen but we will no if you did it on purpose. Each person has a point value and the client has a bigger point value so if you 'kill' them you get more points, but this only is for the attacking squad. For the defending squad, you will be judged based on certain criteria, but you also must survive in order to advance. Only the top eight of you will move on so do your best, this test will last for 5 days."

After the rules were explained people got separated into teams, there were around thirty people left so it was 15 on each side. Some three men cells were separated on purpose to see how they would react.

After all the teams were set they were close to starting the exam but first, they were allowed to get together and decide what route they wanted to take in either attacking or defending. They would only get a couple of hours.

-Attacking group-

Orochimaru was pointing at a small map of the area which they received for the exam. "If I had to guess I would say that Tsunade would try to set up camp here for protection but we should check many other locations just in case."

Most of the group agreed with the statement, considering they were on the same team they should know each other well. But there were always those certain kids, "I bet this is some trick to capture us or something! You are a ninja from Konoha after all, my dad said if I see anybody from there I should kill them painfully!"

Everybody else turned to the arrogant and stupid cloud ninja. Orochimaru contracted his pupils, "Why don't you try it then." he said in a cold, cool, but somehow nerve-racking voice. The cloud ninja put his hand in his holster to pull out a kunai but before he could he felt something cold on his throat.

Before the cloud genin could react Orochimru had already run behind him and pointed his kunai at his jugular. "Come on, I thought you were going to kill me. What happened?" Orochimaru said while flickering his tongue. This sent a shiver down the other genin's spine. "Can you guys stop, I want to get this over with and hang out with the ladies in the nearby hot spring."

Jiraiya was not at all afraid of Orochimaru, unlike most people in the room. Hering his stupidity Orochimaru came back to his senses and went back over to the map to discuss more strategies, but everybody's nerves were shooting off.

-Defensive group-

Things were quite different in the defensive group's room. They were getting along well and were having no issues. After a long discussion, they decided that they would have some people use the transformation technique as the client to try and lure them into a trap. They would have to send people to set up the traps so they would need to buy time before that.

Their plan to buy time was to have people split up and make groups far enough away to make it difficult to target them all, but close enough to get reinforcements. The plan was not bad but it could definitely be improved if they had more time. While they were in the middle of speaking a jounin walked in. "the time is up please follow me to the entrance."

They all got up and followed him. After walking a little they got to a small gate with walls surrounding it, the trees were very huge and it gave off a bad vibe. It got kinda scary if you looked and concentrated for long enough.

Both of the team's entrance points were on opposite sides of the area. They had five days but if either the client was killed or all the attackers were killed it would end. Not long after the man at the gate gave a brief overview of the rules and then opened the gates.

-Attack group-

They were in front of a gate and it was surrounded by walls. You could hear all types of things moving, they all assumed it was animals who lived in the area. All of us charged through the gates running towards the first attack location, hoping they could catch the defensive team on the way. Just in case they couldn't attack directly they had a plan, they could attack mentally by keeping them awake for long periods of time.
