6 Joining Anbu Ops

The next morning Kenshin woke up like usual and started his daily training which includes many exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats, jumping squats, stretching his full body, crunches and a 20 km long run.

After completing his training Kenshin reached home where he took bath and ate his breakfast. When it was about 9:30 AM Kenshin started to get ready. Kenshin then went to the Hokage's tower.

Like yesterday he went to the receptionist to ask about time when Hokage will be free to see him. But he was shocked knowing that Hokage has booked this time slot from his schedule to talk with him.

After a few moments later a ninja came who took him towards Hokage's office. Kenshin noticed that it was the same ninja so he decided to talk with him. After talking a bit, Kenshin found that his name is Sarutobi Hanma, a branch family member of Sarutobi Clan.

"Come inside", Just as Kenshin has reached Hokage's office Kenshin heard Hiruzen calling him inside.

"Greetings Hokage sama", said Kenshin. Just as he entered the room he first greeted Hiruzen. Then Kenshin saw Hiruzen sitting behind a huge lump of paper which was signed by him.

"Oh just wait for some time. Let me firi finish these stupid paperwork then we will go to Anbu Headquarters", said Hiruzen. After that Kenshin just nodded and sat in front of Hiruzen.

Instead of waiting for him Kenshin decided to do his breathing technique to warm his body. Kenshin have made great progress in this technique in all these years. Now he is able to do the basic breathing technique for about 30 minutes before his lungs start to pain.

While signing the papers Hiruzen was also watching Kenshin as this is also a kind of test. He was surprised to find that the kid infront of him just ignored him and started meditating. Hiruzen was now mentally appreciating Kenshin for this.

After about 20 minutes Hiruzen finished his paperwork. He looked at Kenshin and said, "Let's go to Anbu Headquarters".

Saying that he started walking and Kenshin just followed him. Kenshin thought they will use Body Flicker Jutsu to go but he was surprised to find that they were just casually walking out of the Hokage tower and went to the building infront of them.

The building appears to be nothing special but when Kenshin tried to sense, he found that there are about 4-5 ninja's guardian secretly and many ninja's are going and coming out of the building.

When they reached the building, Kenshin saw Hiruzen going inside a lift where Hokage pressed few buttons at the same time and the lift started going inside. After 10 minutes they reached the Anbu Headquarters.

Kenshin was shocked as it was just like some super spy movie like James Bond movies. He knew Anbu specialises in spying, assassination and many such things but he have never expected their facility to be like this.

Just as Hokage entered many Anbu stopped what they were doing and kneeled in front of Hiruzen and greeted him. Their greetings brought Kenshin out of his stupor.

Hokage looked at an Anbu and said, "Call Itachi to the office". After that he went ahead. Kenshin was just following him. Many people were looking at Kenshin and trying to figure out who he might be.

At the same time Kenshin was thinking, "It seems likeItachi will be my Anbu Captain. If my guess is correct Uchiha Massacre incident will happen about 2 years later. Well not that it matters. I must learn everything from Itachi as possible. He is afterall one of the best ninja".

After walking for few minutes they reached a office and went inside. Inside the office Hiruzen sat in the main chair and Kenshin sat in front of him. After another few minutes later Itachi came and greeted Hiruzen.

"Itachi, this is Hayate Kenshin. Check if he has the ability to be in Anbu and if it is then after 1 year of training he will join Team Ro", said Hiruzen. Itachi just nodded calmly.

"Come with me", said Itachi in a plain tone. Kenshin just followed him. After walking for few minutes they reached to some sort of arena around which weapons were placed.

After reaching the ring, Itachi didn't say much and took fighting pose.

Many Anbu members were nearby watching the fight between Itachi and a boy of 7-8 years. Hiruzen was also standing there eager to watch Kenshin's strength.

After a moment, the battle started. Kenshin dashed towards Itachi and kicked his face. Itachi just use one hand to catch it. Kenshin just gave a round house kick towards Itachi's face from the other leg.

The attack was fast which caused Itachi to leave Kenshin's leg and moved back a little bit to dodge the attack. After that Kenshin attacked with many different kinds of techniques. Itachi who was there just calmly dodge every one of them.

Kenshin then used chakra to enhance his strength and speed by a notch and attack. Kenshin's attack have started to cause Itachi to have a hard time dodging them. After some time Itachi was forced to use Sharingan but just when he opened his Sharingan all the advantage that Kenshin had just now vanished.

After another few minutes in which it looked like Itachi was playing with Kenshin, the match ended. Kenshin who was somewhat proud of his achievement in these years got a reality check on how strong Jonin were. And Taijutsu is not even strong point of Itachi and still he was played with shocked Kenshin a little but he still calmed down.

"You are in. You will have to do 1 year of mandatory training where one of your seniors will teach you about stealth and other techniques. And from the library of Anbu you can search anything below A rank jutsu for which you will require permission", said Itachi before leaving.

"You are strong kid"

"Not bad for a brat to force Captain Itachi to use Sharingan in the fight"

"Good job kiddo"

Like this all the seniors greeted and congratulated Kenshin.

"Okay you are more talented than expected. Okay and talk with your parents about your decision. If that didn't work then come to me", said Hiruzen.

"Okay Hokage Sama", said Kenshin.

After that Kenshin went home and continue his daily work. In dinner time when his family (both his mother and father) was there, Kenshin told them his decision to join Anbu and as expected he was rejected.

But Kenshin somehow managed to convince them after saying that he will train there for a year and if his level was not up to the mark, he will join Academy like normal kids.

Like this Kenshin started training in Anbu Headquarters. In one year he made tremendous improvement. Kenshin first learn hundreds of jutsu of lightning, fire and wind release and also mastered them. His Taijutsu and Kenjutsu also improved a lot. If his combat prowess was low chunin level then it was now about high chunin level.

Kenshin's chakra reserves also increased to that of a low jonin level. And another thing that improved was his fuinjutsu knowledge. He made full use of shadow clones as he formed 4 shadow clones(it is current limit) of which 3 practiced lightning, fire and wind release jutsu's while the last one practiced Fuinjutsu.

Kenshin's improvement shocked many of his seniors. Kenshin was like a sponge learning everything he can. In this year Kenshin didn't forget to spend time with his family. After few months of training, he defeated his father. Seeing this his parents were very happy as parents want to see their kids improve and surpass them.

Today is the day he will officially join as Anbu and go for his 1st mission.
