Chapter 35 : Chakra problem

Standing in the backyard of his home that was covered in the whiteness of snow.

Kai was in a daze thinking about the chakra problem that he had while he stared at snow that kept falling from the sky.

It's been almost a year from the time he was entering the academy, and he gonna be in second years, that's mean chakra practice gonna be starting from now on.

He was a little afraid of what's going to happen when he entered the academy.

Because of that he was asking his father if he could ask for time to speak after his father finished his daily task in jonin standby station.

After feeling like a long time passed because of how nervous he was, finally his ears catch the sound of footsteps in the snow getting closer.

Looking at the source of the sound he sees his father coming to him with a smile and waving his hand to him.

"KAI…"

Opening his mouth and wanting to respond to his father's greetings Kai hesitated while lowering his head.

Looking at the ground Kai was a little hesitant to tell his father about the problem with his chakra.

Even though his father was a taijutsu master, his father is still able to use chakra, he doesn't know how to explain it especially when people know that the son of jonin was unable to use his chakra even though he knows it only temporarily.

What he thought was not gonna be a problem when he knew that rock lee was able to graduate from the academy without being able to use ninjutsu but he was wrong in the first place when he saw rock lee was still able to use chakra but only really sucked at it.

He doesn't know what happened when the ninjutsu practice started but he isn't able to use chakra at all.

Kai kept staring at the ground with a complicated expression that plaster on his face with how confused he was with his situation.

Feeling someone was holding his head Kai raises his head and sees his father with a concerned expression.

"What's wrong kai."

"Father, I want to tell you something."

"It's about my chakra father, I can't seem to be able to use it. And in the next year of the academy we are gonna start learning it, I don't know what I should do about it."

After braving himself to tell the truth, he sees his father smile at him and it makes him confused.

"Your father already knows it, Kai."

"But to become ninja it's not always about using chakra, that's why until today your father rarely taught you anything about becoming ninja except the basics."

His father talked to him while holding his hand.

And in another second they were standing on the rooftop of the house.

He sees his father looking at the horizon with the eyes that seem looking at something very memorial.

"Because your father wants to see your seriousness first, the path to become the strongest taijutsu user was never gonna be easy."

"It was a path full of pain. When you are first asking for training, your father is really happy about it, but remembering your condition and the difficulty your father felt in the past."

"So unless you are showing your will to really try your hardest, your father is gonna be the one who stops you from having a big dream but making no effort to achieve it."

Kai looks at his father's serious face with admiration at how cool he was, like the sage that he read in the book.

"Hmhmhmhm…, What do you think young Kai? Do you see your father's handsome face and how cool your father is?"

Kai sees his father goofy antic all the previous admiration vanishes instantly.

"Father…" Kai was a little trigger with his father's prank.

"Alright, alright, your father already sees your seriousness when doing all of your father's tasks."

"You don't have to worry about anything, leave it to your father regarding your ninjutsu problem, your father is still a jonin of konoha you know."

"You just need to do your best, tomorrow we're gonna start learning actual combat so be ready to be hurt."

Kai looks at his father with determination and seriousness.

"I promise to do my best, father."

Kai hugged his father with a grateful feeling in his heart.
