Chapter 106: The Last Lesson?
With sleepy eyes, Kiba slowly sat
up from his bed. Bright sunlight streamed through the window beside him,
bringing warmth, and the chirping of birds filled the air. It was a sunny
morning.
Kiba yawned and glanced at the
alarm clock by his bed.
Seven twenty.
Forty minutes before assembly
time. He stretched and let out a deep breath.
After leaving the Hokage's office
yesterday, Kiba returned to his cabin for daily training and made up for the
sessions he had missed over the past few days. It was almost midnight when he
finally stopped.
After eating a large Konoha
steamed bun that he bought after leaving the Hokage's office, Kiba took a quick
shower, then fell into bed and drifted off to sleep.
He was probably too tired from the
previous day's activities, and now he still felt a bit groggy. His whole body
was sore, a result of training under weight.
"It's still a bit difficult
to carry out more than 1,000 daily training routines, but I should be able to
manage around 800. So let's start adjusting the daily training." Kiba
walked out of the cabin, holding his washing utensils.
These were still left in the first
practice field, but he didn't know who helped him get them back.
After washing up, Kiba felt
refreshed. He returned to the cabin, put down the washing utensils, picked up
the extra-large Konoha steamed buns that were steaming on the small stove,
turned off the fire, and gnawed on them while walking towards the meeting
place.
It's already 7:40. If I walk faster, I shouldn't be
late.
By the time Kiba finished eating
the steamed buns, he had almost arrived at the meeting place. This time he was
not late. In fact, he was usually not late, but occasionally, he got up late.
At those times, he was late.
When Kiba arrived, Kushina,
Hirohiko, and Yukina were already there.
"Not late," Hirohiko
remarked upon seeing Kiba. After speaking, he extended his hand to Yukina and
Kushina. "I won."
Reluctantly, Kushina and Yukina
handed over their money to Hirohiko, who pocketed it with a smile and then
quietly gave Kiba a thumbs up.
Kushina and Yukina voiced their
complaints.
"Why aren't you late today?
Did they plan it together?" Kushina's suspicion was evident.
"It was Hirohiko who won the
bet, and today I thought Kiba would be late again and get into trouble,"
Yukina added without hesitation.
Kiba clearly heard their words and
actions. His eyes half-closed, and the corners of his mouth twitched.
Hey, hey, hey, you're betting on me! Neither of you
believed I would arrive on time and thought I would be late! I'm only late
occasionally, not always!
Also, why do I feel so uncomfortable? Why does
Hirohiko believe in me so much and think I won't be late? I still can't be
happy.
Have they bet on me before? Hirohiko gave me a
thumbs up, like at the beginning of the Chunin exams. Could he have won a bet
that time too?
Thinking of this, Kiba squinted
his eyes and leaned close to Hirohiko, whispering, "Hey, do you want to
make a deal?"
"Of course... three to seven
points. I take seven, you take three," Hirohiko said with a poker face,
his eyes sparkling.
"No, fifty-fifty. Half and
half," Kiba countered.
The two turned their backs and
squatted on the ground, looking a bit sneaky.
However, before they could say
much, Kushina, with a tic-tac-toe on her forehead, lifted them by the collar
and delivered two punches to the tops of their heads.
"You really are in cahoots,
aren't you?" Kushina's red hair fluttered, and she raised her fist as if
to say, "You dare to lie?"
Hirohiko and Kiba squatted on the
ground, covering their heads with their hands. There were big red bumps on the
top of their heads, with puffs of light smoke.
And in the peripheral vision of
Kiba and Hirohiko, Yukina had the same expression as Kushina. Suddenly, their
faces became bitter.
"Okay, Kushina." At this
time, a gentle voice sounded, and a handsome blond man appeared behind Kushina.
Kushina turned her head at the
sound.
"Minato, you're here."
Seeing Namikaze Minato, the anger on Kushina's face slowly faded, and she
smiled.
Kiba and Hirohiko also stood up
slowly.
Why did Namikaze Minato come here?
Kiba was puzzled.
Minato Namikaze arrived and stood
beside Kushina. Kiba suddenly felt a sense of "naturally born" about
them.
"Then, Yukina will be under
your care," Kushina said to Minato, then touched Yukina's hair.
"Yukina, during this time, you will train with Minato. He will teach
you."
Kiba was slightly startled.
Hand over Yukina to Namikaze Minato? What is Kushina
planning? Namikaze Minato doesn't know Gentle Fist. Though I'm sorry for
Yukina, Hirohiko and I are more suitable. The Hyuga clan rejects all ninjutsu,
so Gentle Fist teaching can only be done by the Hyuga clan.
This... is unreasonable?
Wait, has Namikaze Minato developed the Rasengan by
now? Is it possible he wants to teach Yukina Rasengan? Rasengan, a ninjutsu
Hyuga clan members don't reject?
Uh... in that case, Hirohiko is a better fit, right?
Wind attribute chakra...
Suddenly, Kiba frowned, realizing
a serious problem.
Misunderstanding, I discovered a misunderstanding of
my own.
Rasengan doesn't require wind attribute chakra. It
is just the extreme form change of chakra, which means chakra without wind
attribute can also be used.
Immediately, a thoughtful look
appeared on Kiba's face.
Although this was just a small
mistake, Kiba realized that his understanding of the original Naruto was not as
perfect as other traversers. His memory wasn't perfect and he wouldn't remember
everything without mistakes and misunderstandings.
This Rasengan was his misunderstanding. He always
thought it required wind attribute chakra because Naruto had wind attribute
chakra, and Rasengan was one of his representative ninjutsu. This
misunderstanding occurred after the invention of the Wind Release:
Rasenshuriken.
It seems that although I'm familiar with the plot,
Naruto was serialized for fifteen years. I still forget and confuse some
things. Hopefully, this won't affect my survival in this world. However, I
still remember the main storyline clearly. As long as I survive the Third War,
I will rely on my familiarity with the plot and the potential Eight Gates mode
and ninjutsu talent I have now...
Kiba thought so.
Although he had doubts about the
rationality of Namikaze Minato teaching Yukina, Kiba wasn't dissatisfied. After
all, Namikaze Minato is a strong ninja who would win the Third War. Having
someone like him guide Yukina is beneficial.
"Wait a minute, Sensei
Kushina." At this moment, Yukina suddenly spoke up.
"What's wrong?" Kushina
was taken aback, and Namikaze Minato was also surprised.
"I think it would be better
for Hirohiko and Kiba to receive Minato-sensei's teaching. I can't practice
ninjutsu and genjutsu. I have nothing to learn except Gentle Fist. It's
impossible for Minato-sensei to teach me Gentle Fist," Yukina said seriously,
refusing.
Hearing Yukina, Kushina smiled
slightly. "Don't worry, there's something Minato can teach you."
Namikaze Minato sighed helplessly.
Kushina is too stubborn. Indeed, if I have to teach,
it should be Kiba or Hirohiko. For Yukina, I can't improve her Gentle Fist. But
once Kushina decides, she won't change her mind.
"Okay, follow Minato
now," Kushina said without waiting for Yukina to refuse.
"But..." Yukina, a
serious and stubborn girl, still felt unwilling even though Kushina ordered it.
However, Kushina wasn't angry. She
quietly whispered in Yukina's ear for a while.
Immediately, Yukina's face turned
red, and she glanced at Kiba from the corner of her eyes. Following Kushina's
whisper, her eyes slowly calmed down.
After Kushina finished speaking,
Yukina hesitated, looked at Kiba and Hirohiko, and finally nodded.
"Okay, I understand, Sensei
Kushina."
