33 bNb | Sunagakure
A large wall encircled a city in the scorching desert, and the sun reflected off the wall down onto the city. this city was known as Sunagakure. Near the Hidden Sand's slums was a certain marketplace, a peculiar child sat outside the market with black scraggly thin hair and dark reddish eyes. His clothing were ragged, and dust covered his face.
His fingers made strange movements as he leaned against the wall. The boy had a thin string going from his finger. A water bottle was tied to the the thread. The child slowly moved his fingers as the bottle was drawn towards him.... Quietly grabbing the bottle, the child sneakily snuck off.
…
…
The child, also known as Takashi, was walking through an enormous junkyard. The 'Ordinary' residents of the Hidden Sand Village refer to this Junkyard as the 'Gray Terminal.' Takashi is one of the many inhabitants of this civilization, which was quickly established after the 'First Ninja War,'. Because the Kazekage couldn't afford orphanages, he built "Gray Terminal," where the majority of residents are either poor or devoid of parents.
…
…
Takashi was walking when he came to a small wooden cabin, and in front of the door stood two large men who looked akin to gangsters. Takashi was observed by the two men, the two man recognized Takashi and opened the door to the cabin. Takashi entered the cabin and noticed a wooden desk with a man seated at it. He had pimpels allover his face, his hair was curly, and his eyes looked sleepy. Bell awoke from his trance when he noticed that someone had entered the room.
"Yawn, Well well, who do we have here, hmm?… ah, I remember you, you're 'that' kid." Bell said.
He was referring 'that' to Takashi's victory in a contest. There is a rule in Gray Terminal that you must 'pay' the 'government' every month, whether it be food, money, or even a body; if you don't, you're to be executed. Takashi won the contest, and as the winner, he was free from paying the 'government' for more than a year. The primary motive for creating this competition was to lower the food consumption. Less food is consumed as more people die, thus resulting in more food and greater survivability.
Despite the fact that Gray Terminal is known as the 'Lawless Place,' there is a group with authority, known as the 'Government,' also known as the 'Reddish Jam.'
Two years ago, they grabbed control of Gray Terminal. They also recruited people and they attempted to do the same with Takashi, however, he declined.
"Hoho, whaddya have there" Bell asked
"Water bottle" Takashi answered
"That'd be enough to cover this month, seems like the struggle has begun again huh?" Bell said
"The struggle never ended" Takashi replied with an indifferent face
"I guess you're right… Well then, I'll see you again in a month" Bell Said as Takashi left
…
…
Takashi entered a tiny cabin constructed of tree branches after a short distance of traveling. Upon walking into the cabin, Takashi removed his coat and put it on the ground. He fell asleep while lying on the floor with his head resting on his coat.
…
…
…
In the middle of the night, when everyone was supposed to be sleeping, there was a specific man, the man in question, stood across a certain hut, he clenched his fist as...
Boom!
A booming sound was heard throughout the hut, and Takashi rapidly opened his eyes to see a man with a mask on his face in front of him.
Takashi rolled to the other side, escaping the man's blow as he was about to be hit. Takashi got up but a punch was headed towards his face, Takashi dodged and avoided the man's strike, then conjured a string from his finger and swung it at him, the man dodged the string, however, at that moment Takashi sneakily leaped on the man's back, and wrapped the string around his neck, attempting to cut off his head.
The man counteracted by grabbing Takashi from his back and threw him into the wall. Takashi was about to stand up when another punch was thrown in his direction; he quickly produced two strings from his fingers, deflecting the blow.
The man struggled to break the threads, nothing seemed to work because the threads were too thin to be crushed. While the man was distracted Takashi circled around the him, covering him in threads.
Takashi asked, "Any last words?" as he stood across the man with one thread reaching to the man's torso. The man was about to say something, but Takashi didn't care and squeezed the string tightly, crushing the man to bits.
Takashi had already encountered something similar; in fact, it was typical at Gray Terminal, particularly for those with a bounty on their heads like Takashi. The "government" keeps the identity of the individual who lays a bounty on someone hidden, which is why Takashi can't get rid of the said individual.
Takashi took his coat and left the hut, leaving the man in scarps of meat.
