Kagami sensei was an awesome sensei to have no doubt.

He was unlike the others, neither was he a war monger who wanted Konoha to dominate other villages nor was he an idealist who believed that the current peace would last forever.

No Kagami sensei was a realist who believed that peace could only be achieved via strength.

And his teachings backed his ideology.

He didn't hold back while teaching us.

He taught us everything that was practically possible.

For Sakumo he taught him all the various forms of kenjutsu s that were available in the Konoha archives.

For Hashirama, he practically opened up the Uchiha library so that he had full access to any jutsu that he could think of.

For me he taught me the basics of war and strategy as he correctly evaluated that trying to teach me jutsu is a waste of time as I already had Hashirama senju , Mito aunty and dad to teach me those things.

But learning about command and war was absolutely necessary for me as I would be leading the village in the near future.

Under his guidance he made sure that we didn't waste time with worthless d class missions but rather gain experience as much as possible with a slew of c lass missions.

We had practically eliminated all the bandit groups that were active around Konoha under Kagami sensei and had achieved a hundred percent mission success rate under him.

And after three months of active duty we were finally ready for our first b class mission.

Dad had summoned us to his office to discuss the details regarding it.

" team 7 you are to infiltrate the land of grass and collect Intel on what they are actually plotting by sending Ninja disguised as bandits to our country.

The mission is strictly Intel gathering you are to show restraint unless absolutely necessary. And if you are successful at gathering viable Intel and evidence then you are allowed to go full throttle and deal with the situation as per your judgment. " Tobirama informed us while handling the mission documents to Kagami sensei.

" Kiddo this is your first B class mission, make me proud. " Dad said with a rare smile.

"Ofcourse father I ll make you proud" I replied back.

We were supposed to leave for the land of grass tomorrow so we had to stock up on our supplies in the meantime.

At home later at night...

Dad are you free ? I asked while knocking at his door.

Yes come in dad said to me.

" So what's up kiddo? Are you nervous about tomorrow?" He asked me.

Not really dad I just wanted something from you.

Actually I was thinking about making my own secret base in Konoha, you know something similar to what you have , so that I can conduct my research and other things so I wanted you to alot me a property for the same.

It doesn't need to be something fancy or anything, even something basic would do as I plan on building it according to my needs and requirements.

I have a lot of funds that I have saved up from all these missions to pay for it dad.

I said.

"Umm , let's do this, you clear this mission without any complications and I will gift you your research facility, sounds good son?" Dad asked.

" You got a deal father" I replied back
