Next Day,

Naruto walked out of his apartment and made a hand seal. His body disappeared and instantly appeared on the training ground.

"Sorry, am I late?" As soon as he appeared, he asked.

"Man, that started me." Shikamaru spoke with a tired tone but looked startled nonetheless.

"It seems you are quite proficient at using the Body Flicker Technique. Since you are here, should we go to Hokage's Office and take our first mission?"

A mature voice came from the side.

Naruto turned around and saw a mature lady standing next to Hinata. Hinata was wearing the same clothes but her jacket was open.

Gulp!

When Naruto saw her body, he couldn't help but gulp down his saliva. For the first time in his life, he couldn't help but look at Hinata differently.

Those things on her chest were quite big for someone of her age. He totally understood her reason for wearing that jacket.

For someone so shy, it was an absolute disaster not to wear such a jacket.

Right now, Hinata was blushing fiercely but she still made no attempts to wear that jacket.

As for why, it was simple. It was the best chance for her to gain Naruto's attention. And looking at the situation right now, it seems to be working quite well.

His eyes were stuck on her chest until Kurenai made some sound.

Naruto instantly changed his gaze and his face was turning slightly red. Although Kurenai was also a beautiful woman, he had already seen her looks yesterday.

So, she didn't attract him as much as Hinata did.

"Should we leave or are you going to keep watching?" Kurenai's tone was dangerous. Naruto almost felt all of his hair standing up.

"Yep, we must leave. Let's go Shikamaru … Hinata….chan!" Naruto couldn't help but change the way he called her.

His face was still burning red. He walked close to Shikamaru and whispered.

"Hey, why aren't you reacting like me after seeing Hinata? I feel like an idiot right now."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes and said.

"Because you are. No amount of logic will help you if you can't even notice emotions. Best of luck!"

Saying so, he patted Naruto's shoulder and walked ahead.

While they walked forward, Hinata was glaring daggers at her sensei. She was quite enjoying the moment when Naruto was looking at her.

Kurenai smiled at her student's reaction and whispered.

"You have already made him notice you but if you keep doing like this, he won't think highly of you. You already have a chance now because he is no longer the same idiot as before."

"Right now, there is no Sakura-chan in his mind because if she was, he wouldn't have insulted her. The previous Naruto only wanted attention but now, he doesn't care."

"As long as you keep giving him subtle signals, he will eventually notice it but if you do too much, he might think of you as a bad girl."

Hearing her words, Hinata was a bit surprised but also extremely delighted. Her delight only lasted a few minutes because the moment they entered Hokage's office, they saw Team Seven waiting for their Sensei.

"Hello, Sakura! Hey Kiba,! Hey Mr. Uchiha!"

Naruto immediately greeted them upon entering the room.

Right now, Naruto is conflicted. Old Naruto was hoping to ask Sakura out for a date while the logical part wasn't even thinking about her.

On the other hand, when seeing Hinata, both parts of Naruto were just stunned and attracted by her.

This even changed the way he greeted them.

Sakura also noticed the lack of 'chan' when he greeted her. Normally, he would simply greet her with a big grin but right now, it was just a small smile that didn't even last long.

Sakura wasn't feeling good right now. Not only Sasuke didn't like her a bit, but she also lost the person who had a crush on her.

"Hey, Naruto! So, back to being the same old Naruto." Kiba smirked and asked.

"Well, considering that yesterday has already ended, I am somewhat new today. Then again, I truly never changed. I wasn't having a good time during that morning." Naruto smiled and answered.

"Tch! It doesn't matter. In the fight, you will lose to me." Kiba domineering spoke.

"Woof!"

"Oh, hello Akamaru!" Naruto noticed Akamaru in Kiba's head and immediately greeted him, ignoring Kiba's taunts.

"Ahem! Shall we take a mission and focus on it?" Kurenai spoke from behind while glaring at Naruto.

"Yes, Sensei!" Naruto shivered and immediately nodded.

"So, Team Eight is ready for missions, huh? Let's see. This mission will be perfect for you." After a little bit of searching, the Third Hokage found a scroll and threw it at Naruto.

Naruto quickly opened the scroll and read the mission. Suddenly, his excitement died down. He looked at Hiruzen and shouted.

"Are you serious, Old Man? I used to paint the Hokage Monument in the middle of the day without anyone noticing me. How does another painting mission help me grow stronger?"

"Naruto, show some respect! This is not about respect itself but rather manners as well." Kurenai sternly spoke.

Her tone made him flinched. The old Naruto would've shouted back but his logical side immediately concluded.

"Lord Hokage, can we get a better mission?"

Hearing his tone, everyone was surprised.

"Woah, Naruto! Aren't you going to shout back?" Kiba looked at him with wide eyes and asked. He has seen Naruto shout back at teachers and others almost all the time.

So, this was something completely new. Even Sakura and Sasuke could see this but they didn't react as much as Kiba.

Naruto gave him a look and said.

"That's where I changed, Kiba. I started thinking before doing something. It turns out thinking before doing something can make a lot of difference for some people."

Hearing his words, Hiruzen smiled and said.

"That's right! A small event or a small habit can change a person completely."

"So, can we change the mission?" Naruto asked with almost begging eyes.

Hiruzen sighed and said.

"Naruto, it is true that this mission won't help you improve your individual skill but it is not the same for others. You are now a part of a team, so you must think for your team."

"This is an important aspect of a Chunin, my boy. You must learn to work with your team. Teach them how to paint fences and cooperate with them. Of course, if you want to have some excitement in the mission, you can do other things."

"For example, try to finish painting the fence without anyone noticing it or even trying to finish it in record time. But no matter what you do, this is your mission now."

Naruto was a bit conflicted but when he heard about the qualities of a Chunin, he immediately accepted the mission.

"Don't worry, Lord Hokage! Our team will finish this mission in no time."

Hiruzen smiled and said.

"Good! While manner might be one thing, I don't want you to change the way you talk to me. Kurenai, I hope it doesn't bother you."

Kurenai flinched at his words. She didn't expect Naruto and Hokage to have such a close relationship. Even others were surprised.

Naruto just smiled and nodded.

"No problem, Old Man! It was hard for me to call you by title when I've been calling you Old Man for as long as I can remember."

He turned around and said.

"Sensei, let's hurry up and finish this quest in record time. By the way, can we accept more quests?"

"Quest?" Hiruzen was surprised by the way Naruto called a mission.

"Ahh! That's the word I learned from the dictionary. Sorry about that." Naruto immediately realized that he was mixing Systems with missions and made a perfect lie.

"Alright, you can call it whatever you want. And, yes, if you finish this mission, you can ask for more missions though your team including your Sensei must agree."

Naruto turned to Kurenai with pleading eyes. After a moment, her expression softened.

"Alright, if we finish this mission quickly, we can take more missions."

"Don't we get to say in this? Taking more missions is quite a drag." Shikamaru rubbed the back of his head and sighed.

Naruto completely ignored him and Hinata during this time.

"Of course, you have a say in this. But, the more missions we take, the closer our teamwork will be. And, the more our teamwork improves, the faster we can get higher-level missions. Isn't that right, Kurenai Sensei?"

Naruto turned his head at Kurenai and asked.

"Indeed! If I see your teamwork ready for the higher-ranking mission, I can ask Lord Hokage to give us a C-Rank mission. But, you must impress me first." Kurenai chuckled as she said.

"See! We have no time to waste, Shika. We must finish this quest."

Naruto grabbed Shikamaru and Hinata's hands before running out of the room.

Kurenai chuckled and quickly followed. Hiruzen also smiled and then looked at Team Seven with pity.

"It seems like Kakashi isn't going to arrive very soon."
