Chapter 24 - Time To Hunt

''Sukuna... I di-….'' Satori wanted to speak with a guilty look on his face but Sukuna interrupted,

''Go home and think about what you two did, you threw many of my plans in disarray by telling them so much. Danzo most likely won't stay silent either, he will probably tell Hiruzen that I'm also part Uchiha'' Sukuna said without any apparent emotion to which Satori nodded and left with a guilty conscience along with Sumure.

Sukuna looked at their departing figures before sighing, he didn't want to be like this. But he wanted to see if they made the choice with a sane mind or out of rage.

If they made such a decision because they were easily provoked, then he definitely needed to get them to work on that.

Sukuna looked at the sky and disappeared as well, he still had someone waiting at home that needed help.

Sukuna arrived at his home before walking upstairs with a bucket of water and a wet cloth in his hands as he opened the door towards Rin's bedroom.

Rin, who was already awake, flinched at the sound of the door and hid underneath her blanket while her body trembled to the point you would think she had a seizure.

''It seems that you are already awake'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile as he grabbed a chair and sat down next to her bed.

"You had flashbacks, didn't you?'' Sukuna asked with a voice full of pity.

''Mmm'' Rin hummed softly as her trembling hands grabbed the edge of her blanket before peaking her head out.

''T...the moment I saw Kakashi, I...i felt a pain in my chest as I started hearing the sounds from that night....'' Rin said while trying to calm herself.

Sukuna looked at her for a short while as he said softly, ''Rin, the choice to keep living is yours. I won't force you. I will put your body back in the cemetery if that is what you wish''

''I do want to live....'' Rin instantly spoke up as she looked at him while wiping away her tears.

''But it's scary.... So much has changed'' Rin said in hesitation which made Sukuna look at her with a light smile as he said, ''Do you want to go somewhere with me?''

Rin tilted her head lightly with a confused expression as Sukuna pointed to the outside where the lights were already on as the night life in the Senju Compound seemed to be bustling.

The Senju's have had always more vigor than others, they only needed to sleep a few hours and they were as good as new.

''Are you sure? You wanted me to stay inside right?'' Rin said in hesitation as she looked outside with a longing feeling.

''Please excuse me'' Sukuna said with a teasing smile as he threw off the sheets which made Rin yelp in surprise before he picked her up and disappeared, giving Rin once more the experience of having the wind fly past her cheeks in one day.

Sukuna appeared above his home with Rin in his arms as he asked, ''What do you think of this place?''

Rin looked at the view of the Senju Compound before honestly saying, ''Beautiful... When I saw them from afar, they all seemed excited, happy, relieved''

''I'm glad you think that way'' Sukuna honestly said as he looked at the view with a melancholic feeling.

''You seem... sad'' Rin said as she looked at Sukuna from below with a red face.

''Mmm, a little... Many of them here have lost loved ones due to the Village's corruption'' Sukuna said with a bitter smile.

Sukuna sat her down next to him and started explaining everything that happened over the years while lying on his back, staring at the upcoming moon, about Danzo, about the village and small things. They just kept on talking until the moon was at its peak.

''They seem to regard you as some kind of hero, it's cute'' Rin said with a bright smile on her face as she looked at the streets, some children bowed to his gate with a smile on their faces before continuing walking.

Sukuna stared at her before laughing, ''You should laugh more, it's prettier''

Rin looked shocked before turning away with a red face.

Sukuna stood up and stretched his back. As he spoke,

''How about joining those kids then?''

''In playing?'' Rin asked with a confused face which made Sukuna grin and answer,

''In becoming part of the clan ofcourse!''

Rin's mind went into thinking before her faced almost blew steam as she stammered, ''W...we only know each other for a short time''

''You know me for a short time, I know you good enough'' Sukuna grinned as Rin gave him a confused look.

''Didn't you feel that the clothes in your room are all fitting well? Do you think that is a coincidence?'' Sukuna had an evil grin on his face as Rin's face turned shocked, ''Did you do something to my dead body?!''

Sukuna almost fell off the roof as he held a hand in front of his forehead and said,

''Ofcourse not, I don't have such weird interests thank you....''

Rin blushed as she remembered even her underwear fit perfectly, it was clear Sukuna knew way too much about her.

''To join the clan, you don't need to marry. I'm inviting you to the Clan instead'' Sukuna said with a light smile as he held out his hand.

Rin stared at him before slowly extending her hand. However, before her hand touched Sukuna, she trembled and almost retracted her hand with a conflicted look on her face.

Sukuna smiled lightly and stretched forward to grab her hand as he pulled her up before putting a hand around her waist.

Rin was shocked at the sudden movement and hid her face as Sukuna asked, ''Still scared?''

''Mmm'' Rin hummed softly with a sad look on her face.

''You know, when you said those kids regarded me as some kind of hero. I wanted to laugh'' Sukuna said with a smile as Rin looked up at him with a confused expression.

''Rin, do you think they trust me because I have talent?'' Sukuna asked with a bitter smile as Rin wanted to say something, but could only shake her head.

''My parents were traitors, so I killed them'' Sukuna replied in the shortest way possible.

Rin shook in his arms as she looked at him in shock before Sukuna smiled bitterly as he continued explaining.

It didn't take long for her to start sobbing which made Sukuna smile bitterly.

''As you can tell, I'm not really like a Hero, the other way around actually''

''But they betrayed you first'' Rin said while wiping away her tears.

''Doesn't change the fact that I killed the ones that gave birth to me'' Sukuna shook his head as he looked at her and said,

''What I'm trying to say is, a hero is someone who sacrifices his loved ones for the greater good. I would have to sacrifice the Senju's so Danzo might have found a way to use the Senju's blood to increase people's affinity with Wood Release or something'' Sukuna said with a chuckle.

''But they worship you like one though'' Rin said with a cheeky smile.

''They are right, because to them, I am. To others, I'm not'' Sukuna said as he looked at the lights across the streets with a light smile.

''What do you mean?'' Rin asked with a curious expression which made Sukuna look at her and hold the side of her face,

''Rin, become part of the Senju's. Once you do, I will burn this world for you''

Hearing Sukuna's words, her heart trembled as she was forced to look at his eyes that seemed to radiate confidence and conviction.

''Mmm'' Rin slowly nodded in a daze as she looked at his eyes.

Sukuna smiled lightly and hugged her against his body, Rin didn't struggle and slowly put her arms around his waist as she felt his warmth.

They stayed for that for a few minutes before Rin suddenly said, ''It seems you have visitors''

Sukuna looked confused and looked at the gate where Satori and Sumure were kneeling on the ground with their heads kissing the pavement while many people stood around them and asked what they were doing, but neither of them replied and remained stoic.

Sukuna sighed and said, ''It seems like our little alone time is interrupted earlier than I thought''

Rin blushed as she let go of Sukuna who held her hand and jumped down the buildings. Sukuna opened his gate while Rin hid away. Many people instantly bowed and greeted him which made him uncomfortable, but sadly that was part of the job.

''Satori, Sumure, what are you doing?'' Sukuna questioned with a serious expression.

''We're sorry for the inconvenience we caused!'' Satori and Sumure replied and smacked their head on the pavement. Sukuna just watched them and asked,

''What are you sorry for?''

Many people perked up their ears as they wanted to know why two of the closest people to Sukuna were kneeling like that. After all, they had already noticed how Sukuna was uncomfortable with overly showing respect because of his position.

''We're sorry for revealing how the ascension of the Patriarch went to Jiraya, Tsunade and the Third Hokage!" Satori and Sumure in unison as they smacked their heads against the pavement once more.

''These fools! What if they find out our leader is half Uchiha!''

''They didn't tell them he had the Sharingan right?''

''This can result in a massiv-….''

Many discussions sounded out through the surroundings as Sukuna asked coldly, ''And this is your way of fixing it? Kneeling in front of my gate as some kind of slaves?''

Sumure and Satori trembled as they felt the back of their vests being pulled up as they landed on the ground.

Sukuna looked at them and asked, ''Do I look like the kind of person that enjoys seeing others suffer because they made a mistake when they got made for my sake?''

''This was the only way I felt we could redeem ourselves, we know you had many plans and that we ruined them'' Sumure spoke up and wanted to bow before his body was pinned straight by Sukuna's hand on his shoulder.

''Do you two regret it'' Sukuna asked calmly while looking at the moon that indicated that was around midnight.

Sumura and Satori opened their mouths, but no words came out. Only after a dozen seconds did Satori softly speak, ''No... I do not''

The surroundings got deadly quiet, you could hear a needle drop from a mile away while there were dozens of people gathered.

Sumure wanted to berate him, but couldn't get any words to come out of his mouth. Satori was right, he didn't regret putting Tsunade in her place.

''These fools! Do they not understa-….''

Someone from the crowd whispered before their expressions changed into shock from Sukuna's following words as he walked over to Satori and patted his shoulder,

''Good job, you finally seem to understand how you should live life''

Satori shuddered before looking at Sukuna who continued with a proud smile, ''Being impulsive is fine, being ignorant is fine, being weak is fine, as long as you live your life without regrets, anything is fine. As for the rest? It's my job as your leader to take care of it''

Sukuna looked at the crowd and said, ''Everyone! We do not have much time since I don't know how much Danzo will share with the Third Hokage. For that reason, I have to ask that half the Jonin's and Genin's follow me to capture a large shrimp!''

Many were confused as someone spoke up, ''Leader, what do you mean?''

''The Three Tails ofcourse'' Sukuna's smile grew evil as many trembled with shock before someone finally said,

''Shrimp sounds good to me....''

''Pff...''

''Hahaha, I agree!''

''Let's get some shrimp dishes ready!''

Many overjoyed and crazed comments sounded through the area, even Sukuna was stunned for a while before he smiled.

The Senju's were known as a peace-loving Clan before they started being hunted left and right.

If Hashirama saw his old clan now, Sukuna had no doubt that he would confuse them for the Uchiha's instead!

''Very well! Satori, go get everything ready, rations, talismans, weapons. Sumure, inform everyone, take half of our forces'' Sukuna laughed loudly and ordered the two of them.

''What are you going to do?'' Sumure asked with a confused expression as Sukuna grinned at him,

''Making use of some old hag''

Sukuna had always multiple clones surrounding Marani's living quarters, just to be safe. However, a few hours ago, a certain blond woman had decided to awaken Marani from her sleep and she was still there.

'Since you feel sorry for what you did, I will milk every ounce of strength out of you. Lets see if you still feel sorry after a dozen years or so' Sukuna had a smile on his face that made many shiver before everyone disappeared, including Sukuna.

Rin already heard his words and tippled inside as well to get ready while Sukuna went to Marani's house to fetch the little traitor.

It was time to hunt.
