First Mission (1)

Yoriichi P.O.V

A week has passed since I became a Shinobi and started training with my team and Sensei.

I focused on my lightning ninjutsu and sword techniques trying to make them better and think about more of their applications and try to make my own sword techniques to my breathing styles as well as create or replicate another breathing style. I am still far from it though.

Jiro focused on Earth style, Chino on water style, Kaito on earth style along with taijutsu and Itsuki focused on wind style along with chakra control which were their respective chakra nature affinities.

We followed our sensei to the the Uzukage building where grandpa himself will give us our missions. The building for the head of the village was thrice as big as the one that was in Konoha with a total of 6 floors excluding any underground floors. The structure was similar to Konoha's Hokage building.

Anyways, We knocked on Grandpa's door and We entered after he allowed us to enter.

"Ah so team 6 is finally going to have their first mission. You all must be really excited to go on your first mission. Alright so I have just the mission for you all. You all will have to deal with the bandits which are terrorizing the towns and villages near the shores of the land of fire."

"The clients for this mission are the village heads of different villages that are being terrorized by these bandits. The reward of this mission is 30K ryo. Out of which 20 percent will belong to the village, 30 percent for the Jonin Sensei and the rest 50 percent will be divided between you five."

"WHAT WE WILL ONLY GET 3K RYO?" Me and my team mates shouted but there was a simultaneous voice

"WHAT I WILL GET ONLY 9K RYO? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I am a S rank Shinobi for sage's sake and I am even babysitting these kids, I should be getting atleast 20k ryo." Genkai sensei said loudly

"Well, There are 5 genins in your squad normally it would have been divided as 20 percent for village, 40 percent for Jonin and the rest for three members of the team but since there are five members we will have to reduce Genkai's pay a little. But all the loot you will get from the bandits which is unclaimed will be yours to take." Grandpa said sounding amused

"Now all the best for your mission, Remember Yoriichi, You and your fellow friends are the heart and soul of our village so stay safe and come back alive." He said as he showed us away and got back to his paperwork.

"Stingy old man" I heard sensei say that

"Tell me about it." I said

We reached the shore of the village after passing from the village walls which were still being constructed for the past 3 years. You would think that with earth style users, it would have been easy to create them but the village is using metals to create the village wall just like the village hidden in the rain. Unlike them the village walls will be painted to give it a good look. This paint on the walls is not only for show but also to hide the fuinjutsu symbols on it.

"We will be going to travel on foot to the land of fire instead of taking a boat since you are able to walk on water. This will also help you to improve your chakra control further. Whoever falls in the water will get his pay reduced by 100 ryo which will be given to me." Genkai Sensei said with a smile which looked evil to us.

"Land of fire is only 30 km from us. The whirlpool that surround us are stopped by Shinobi that operate on small floating pieces of land that surround our village. They will let us pass as soon as you give the permission scroll to them. The security has increased after the recent increase in spys in our village. So remember to follow the protocol." He said

"Alright so let's head out"

We left the village and started traveling on water. When we reached the checkpoints we gave the shinobi stationed there the permission scroll who after verifying it let us pass. There were a total of 3 checkpoints 500m from the shores, 1.5 km and 4 km after which were the whirlpools.

After traveling on water for an hour, we reached the shores of the Land of fire. The only one who fell in water was Jiro. He fell in water 8 times and sometimes I felt like Genkai Sensei was the one who was making him fall after the fifth time. Jiro almost burst into tears thinking that he would receive only 2200 ryo which would not be enough for his barbeque consumption for a week.

The city where we arrived was called Hachiōji.

It was a big city which connected Land of fire with Uzushiogakure. So all the merchants from land of fire and merchants travel to Uzushiogakure by ships or boat from here. This city receives security and support from our village.

We had to travel another 80 km to the place where the villages that were terrorised by bandits was located.

After we reached the spot we asked the locals about if they knew where the bandits were located or where do they usually steal from.

They gave us some hints and clues to which we managed to find the place using my eye of kagura.

"There are 3 Chunins, 15 genins and 50 civilian bandits. It's quite a big group of bandits." I said

"It's good enough for y'all considering your strength. Yoriichi won't participate in the battle though." Genkai sensei said

"Huh? Why? I will still receive the payment right?" I asked
