Confronting the Pursuers

After travelling for a day straight,

Yoriichi and Genkai decided that they were far enough from Kumo to deal with their pursuors.

They had sensed that five shinobi who were atleast jonin level were following them since they left Kumo. But they decided to act after they were far away from Kumo so as the enemy does not send reinforcements.

"Sensei can i play with them?" Yoriichi asked

"Yoriichi, Remember no matter how powerful you are or how weak your enemies are, you never play or underestimate your enemies. Am I Understood?" Genkai said seriously

"Fineee. But can i still fight them alone? If i am not strong enough and arrogant for no reason, losing would teach me a lesson. Don't you want to see it happen and prove your point? You will still be able to save me from anything dangerous." Yoriichi shamelessly said

Genkai knew that Yoriichi did not adhere to his words. But he could not refute his statement as Yoriichi had the right to be arrogant as he was a S rank shinobi at such a young age.

The days where Yoriichi would listen to him obediently were over. Besides, he is now in his teens that means his rebellious phase has started.

"Fine. You can battle them alone." Genkai said with a sigh but someone was not happy about his decision.

"That's not fair sensei! I want to fight someone too. I wanna punch someone really hard. I have done nothing but heal people in this mission." Hiromi said

"Hiromi no matter how much you have grown in the past year and so, you are still not strong enough to face an elite jonin alone. You have to understand that Yoriichi is just unique and has surpassed you. No matter how much it hurts your pride, you have to understand it if you want to progress as a shinobi." Genkai said hoping that at least one of them would listen to his words.

Hearing Genkai words, Hiromi felt into deep thought. Being born in the same clan as Yoriichi, she wanted to surpass him and show that her punches were the strongest.

No, she was not jealous of Yoriichi. Despite various people comapring her to Yoriichi and calling her weaker and less talented to him, the only thing she felt was the need to train more and surpass him.

But as time went on she realized, Yoriichi was in his own league. She did not blame herself though. She knew she could beat Yoriichi anyday in Taijutsu but if his sword comes into play, all it would take him was 10 seconds to deal with her.

Now, She has set herself a new goal. That is to become the strongest Taijutsu fighter. She believed she can do it and she will do it.

Seeing Hiromi accept his words of advice and agreeing not to engage with an elite jonin, Genkai sighed in relief.

He then looked at Hisame who knew his limits as he did not even ask to fight the elite jonins.

'Good kid, Why can't all kids be like him?' Genkai sighed for the Nth time.

All four of them stopped at the same time as they faced backwards.

Yoriichi without waiting for his opponents to show up started doing hand signs for his jutsu.

'Lightning style: False Darkness'

Spears shaped lightning were fired from Yoroichi's mouth which were aimed at the five hidden shinobi. Sensing the danger, the five came out of their hiding spots and dodged the attacks.

"At this point of time, I feel insulted. How could you guys even become jonin with that sh¡t of a brain you have? You know right that Uzumaki have the ability called eye of kagura which we use to sense. Ambushing us is useless and hiding your chakra would not work on it." Yoriichi chastised the five shinobis that belonged to the Kinkaku and Ginkaku squad.

'Why did he have to attack first? Now we can't use this to our advantage. Ughhh' Genkai thought

The enemy shinobi did not reply as they attacked with their own jutsus.

"I am the bone of my sword. Rho Aias!"

Rho aias formed infront on Yoriichi protecting him from all the jutsus.

A suprised and astonished expression was formed on the faces of the five shinobi.

"Only one of you is an elite jonin. Whoever send you is a bigger idiot than you. No wonder he hired idiots like you. Only 4 jonins and one elite jonin to take down the great Yoriichi sama. How pitiful! You all disgust me." Yoriichi said arrogantly

"Sensei, Is it just me or Yoriichi is getting cockier by the day?" Hiromi asked Genkai

"This is what power does to you. Sigh." Genkai said with another sigh

The enemy elite jonin did not like the arrogant attitude of Yoriichi.

"I will show you, what true power is brat!" The elite jonin started weaving hand signs

'Storm release: Laser Circus'

Several lightning beams were fired from the elite jonin's hands.

Yoriichi formed Rho Aias again but the lightning beams curved and went around the barrier and attacked Yoriichi from the remaining three directions.

Yoriichi was suprised seeing this but he did not panic as he used his sword to deflect the lightning beams. Only for the lightning beams to come back at him. They were like homing missiles whose only target was Yoriichi.

A wide grin was formed on Yoriichi's face "Yes,Yes that's what I am talking about. Now you might give me a little challenge."
