Chapter 5- Training 2

After completing the morning training, I quickly freshened myself up and made my way to the living room to meet with my father. As I entered, I found my parents sitting there, and to my delight, my little brother 'Kiyoshi' was also present, although he was just two months old. Seeing him brought a smile to my face.

To my pleasant surprise, my uncle was also there, playing with Kiyoshi. He hadn't been around for months, and when I asked my father, he said my uncle was on a mission.

It was always great to see him, as he was someone who was always present during my childhood. I greeted them all with a warm smile and a bow, showing respect to my parents and uncle.

"Good morning, everyone," I said cheerfully.

My father looked up from his papers and returned the greeting with a nod. "Good morning, Katsuo. How was your training today?"

"It went well, father," I replied, trying to contain my excitement. "I feel like I'm getting stronger every day."

My mother smiled warmly at me. "That's wonderful to hear, dear. We're so proud of you."

My mother's warm smile turned into a gentle warning as she added, "But, don't push yourself too hard." There was a stern glint in her eyes, and I could sense her concern for my well-being.

From the corner of my eye, I noticed my father subtly ducking his head further into his papers, trying to avoid any potential scolding from my mother. It made me chuckle nervously as I replied, "Haha.. of course, mother. I'll be careful."

The truth was, my mother had never been a fan of the idea of me doing intense exercises from such a young age. She worried about my safety and well-being, and I couldn't blame her. I had my fair share of bumps and bruises, and every time I got hurt, my father bore the brunt of my mother's worry and frustration.

I clearly remembered a particular incident when I accidentally broke a finger. My dear mother got wind of it-

And all hell breaks loose-!

It all happened so fast - one moment, I accidentally broke my finger during one of my not-so-training sessions, and the next moment, my mother had my father by the collar, shaking him as if she was about to wring his neck.

I could see the fear in my father's eyes as he tried to calm her down, but my mother was in full mama-bear mode, and nothing could stop her wrath. She was fiercely protective of me, and any harm that came my way was a direct challenge to her maternal instincts.

For a second I could have sworn that I saw my father's poor soul leaving his body.

The sight was so absurd and surreal that I couldn't help but stifle a laugh, even though my finger throbbed with pain. I mean, my father had nothing to do with my little mishap, but he was bearing the brunt of my mother's protective rage anyway.

After a few moments of intense scolding, my father managed to convince my mother that he was innocent in all of this, and she finally let him go.

From that day on, my father made sure to keep a safe distance whenever I was engaged in my training, just in case any more accidents happened. And my mother, well, she remained vigilant and always ready to pounce on anything that posed a threat to her precious son.

I had this idea that Uzumaki women tended to be pretty violent when angered, but I had brushed it off, thinking it was just an 'Anime' thingy.

Apparently, it was quite real.

That day, I promised myself to never acquire my mother's ire.

Not wanting to be further scrutinized by my mother, I deceive-ly went to my brother's side.

Walking over to him, I gently poked his cheeks and asked, "And how is my little brother doing?" He responded with coos and giggles.

"He's doing great," my uncle replied, gently bouncing Kiyoshi. "He's growing fast, just like you did when you were his age."

I chuckled at the memory of my own baby days. It felt like just yesterday that I was as tiny and helpless as Kiyoshi. Time truly does fly.

As we continued to chat, at some point, mother excused herself to fetch breakfast.

==============================

After the breakfast I found myself in our backyard sitting in a cross legged position.

My father gently placed his palm on my back and said,"Katsuo, now I will push a small amount of my chakra and guide you so carefully feel the moving energy inside you, ok."

"Ok, father."

As Kenji pushed a small amount of chakra into Katsuo's body to gauge his chakra capacity, he was astonished. The boy's chakra reserves were massive. Kenji knew that Uzumaki clan members were naturally gifted with a strong life force and huge chakra reserves, but this was beyond his expectations. It felt like he was trying to measure the depths of a vast ocean.

Getting over his surprise, Kenji guided katsuo.

"Katsuo, are you able to feel your chakra?"

"Yes father I could feel it, I feel like my stomach is on fire."

"Ok, good, good. Now try to draw your chakra in your hands."

As Katsuo continued to draw upon his chakra, he felt a warm and gentle current circulating through his body. It was a comforting sensation, as if the energy within him was harmoniously flowing, guided by his will. The more he focused, the more he could sense the ebb and flow of this inner power.

"It's like a river of energy inside me," Katsuo whispered to himself, amazed by the newfound connection he had with his chakra.

His father, observing from the behind, nodded in approval. "That's right, Katsuo. Chakra is the essence of every shinobi, and learning to harness it is the first step to becoming a powerful ninja."

Ah, done with the 5th chapter. I know this chapter felt like one of those xianxia novels.😅😅.

From next chapter it will be more focused on his training.

Thanks for reading.
