"Go away."
Shinki's mouth twitched slightly as he raised his hand to push Tsunade's face away.
How should this money be spent? However you want, but not with you!
If Tsunade needed money for something meaningful, Shinki wouldn't mind sponsoring her a little. But directly giving her a share of the money? No way.
The more money Tsunade had, the more she lost. It was practically a rule of nature.
"We're going to buy a batch of high-quality materials, dismantle the Thunder God Sword, and recast two new chakra weapons for Nawaki and Minato. If there's a gift you want, I'll get it for you, but don't even think about touching the money."
Nawaki and Minato still didn't have suitable weapons. Shinki decided it was best to dismantle the Senju family's Thunder God Sword. Leaving it as it was seemed wasteful, and worse, it invited unwanted attention.
He couldn't understand why Tobirama Senju would use so much chakra metal to forge such a fragile chakra weapon. Sure, in Tobirama's hands, the sword was formidable, but in the hands of anyone else? A few hits, and it would likely shatter.
"You're taking it apart?"
Tsunade showed no objections to Shinki dismantling the Thunder God Sword. To her, the weapon was more of a decoration. If it could be repurposed into something more practical, all the better.
Without the incentive of money, Tsunade seemed to lose all her energy. She slumped onto the sofa, lying there listlessly.
As for the Thunder God Sword?
What was the point of keeping it? Sure, it was expensive, but it couldn't be sold because of Hokage's restrictions. If it couldn't be sold, then keeping it would just make it a target. Better to let Shinki handle it.
"By the way, do you need a weapon yourself?" Tsunade asked.
Shinki shook his head. "Chakra weapons aren't particularly useful for me. Let's focus on Nawaki and Minato first. If there's anything left over, we'll see."
Truthfully, Shinki wasn't too keen on chakra weapons. They were time-consuming and bothersome to craft. Down the line, he could always ask Orochimaru for one. Speaking of which, when would Orochimaru acquire the Kusanagi Sword? If he ended up with extras, surely Orochimaru wouldn't be stingy enough to deny him one.
For now, though, dismantling the Thunder God Sword was a priority. Otherwise, the Third Hokage might try to take it back under the guise of "preserving their teacher's legacy."
Was the Thunder God Sword worth collecting? Perhaps. But as raw materials for new weapons, it was far more valuable.
After all, this was a blade forged from a significant amount of chakra metal—an extravagance that only someone like Tobirama could afford. Most people would treasure even a small weapon made from chakra metal, but Tobirama went and poured it all into one sword.
The stronger the wielder, the stronger the weapon. In the hands of anyone else? It would break like glass.
"Where are you going?" Shinki asked as Tsunade, who had been lying lazily just moments ago, suddenly leaped to her feet and marched out with newfound energy.
"Overtime!" she declared. "Don't leave me any food tonight. I'm staying at the hospital."
"Bang!"
The door slammed shut behind her. Shinki sat cross-legged on the sofa, filled with question marks. What had gotten into her? Tsunade, willingly volunteering for overtime? And even a night shift? Had money truly motivated her to start working harder?
Tsunade was indeed spurred on—by jealousy.
The thought of how much Shinki had earned gnawed at her. Hundreds of millions in his pocket, and all hard-earned!
If Shinki could do it, why couldn't she?
Money was a powerful motivator. It was hers for the taking—if she worked for it!
"Tsunade-sama?"
The hospital staff were dumbfounded to see Tsunade in a white coat, seated seriously in the lounge. Normally, Tsunade avoided the hospital unless there was a critical patient requiring her attention. But today? She was here unprompted and ready to work.
The staff prepared themselves for a hectic night, expecting some severe cases. But as the hours passed, no major emergencies arrived.
Strangely, Tsunade even began taking on routine cases—work she used to pass off to others.
What in the world was going on?
"Shinki! You're back!"
At home, Kushina was sitting at the table, eagerly awaiting him. The table was laden with food, and she seemed as happy as a dancing butterfly.
"Go wash your hands. Let's eat first," Shinki said, rubbing her head affectionately.
"Oh!"
Kushina darted to the bathroom, washed her hands at lightning speed, and was back in a flash. She plopped down beside Shinki, grinning from ear to ear.
"Eat," Shinki said with a laugh, amused by her enthusiasm.
"Hehe."
Kushina picked up her chopsticks and began eating heartily. She loved the food Shinki made and devoured it with gusto.
"By the way, where are Nawaki and Tsunade? And Minato?" Kushina asked halfway through the meal. The house seemed oddly quiet.
Shinki smiled knowingly. "Minato and Nawaki went to eat ramen. Those two are like brothers when they're together. As for your sister Tsunade, she's working overtime to make money. She'll be pulling a night shift, so don't worry about saving her any food."
Kushina blinked, confused. "Stimulated by money? Sister Tsunade? Isn't she always broke?"
She mulled it over briefly, then shrugged. "Oh well, her loss is my gain!"
She beamed, enjoying the meal and Shinki's company. Her face flushed as she daydreamed, imagining herself in a romance novel, the heroine dining with her beloved.
Shinki observed her with a mix of amusement and exasperation. What had gotten into this girl? Why was she blushing and giggling like that? Wasn't she supposed to be a fiery "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero"?
Now she seemed more like a giddy schoolgirl.
Shinki sighed inwardly. When did Kushina become like this?
