Chapter 69: Uchiha Library

And Tekku's guess was right, even though anything A-Rank and higher had been removed for now, the Uchiha Clan Library was filled with all kinds of scrolls containing different pieces of knowledge, jutsu, and other techniques. To be honest, this may be the most complete Shinobi Library in the whole village.

"Well, this is the Uchiha Library," said Sasuke as he looked at the scrolls that previous generations of Uchiha had left behind for their descendants with sad eyes.

"Okay, that's quite a bit more than I thought," admitted Tekku, well he pretended since this was exactly what he had hoped for, "Let me use my Shadow Clones to get an overview of what could be useful for you."

Forming the sign for the Shadow Clone Jutsu, three copies of Tekku appeared before them. "You go to the Taijutsu section and search through the Offensive Taijutsu Styles. Find something that could be useful to Sasuke and combines well with his current style. Next, you look through the Ninjutsu part for anything that could give the current him an edge over others and also in the future without being too complex. Lastly, you search for anything that gives Sasuke an idea of how he can improve later on, once he has mastered the basics."

The clones nodded and disappeared. There was really no need to announce their tasks, but it would give him better cover in front of Sasuke since each of them had an untold task to finish.

"Solid Clones? But why would you send them into the Library?" asked Sasuke, confused. He was aware of the existence of Solid Clones like the Mizu Bunshin or the Iwa Bunshin, but they couldn't do more than complete very simple commands according to what he learned in the Academy.

"Oh, they are one of the most advanced Bunshin Jutsu in existence. This is the so-called Shadow Clone Jutsu. They are really useful for reconnaissance or to complete mental tasks, even Chakra Control training. Since they are completely sentient, anything they learn returns to the user once they are released," explained Tekku directly. He wanted to see how far Naruto gets once he learns the truth about the Kage Bunshin early. Hopefully, Sasuke will share this information with him in the future.

"Teach me!" requested Sasuke without hesitation.

Having already expected this request, Tekku replied, "Sorry, I can't do that. This technique is far too advanced for the current you. The Kage Bunshin is quite a bit more dangerous. If you don't have enough Chakra for the technique, it will kill you instead of not being able to use the Jutsu like usual." Explained Tekku, "It requires quite a lot of Chakra. From what I can feel, you may have barely enough for one in prime condition, but you won't be able to do much with it. So train more for a while and wait at least until you become a Genin to learn this technique."

"Hn." Was all Sasuke replied, as he understood the explanation and the consequences but was a bit disappointed by it since he couldn't use such a useful technique yet.

While the clones were scouring through the Library, Tekku and Sasuke talked about the usefulness of Genjutsu. He suggested to the younger Uchiha to begin studying the art early and not only wait for his Sharingan.

Sharingan-based Genjutsu is definitely very powerful and unbreakable in a one-on-one fight, but can be quite easily dodged by more experienced opponents who don't need to look into one's eyes. For example, Might Guy, who learned to fight by just watching his opponent's feet.

Itachi himself didn't rely only on his Sharingan. He mastered all kinds of Genjutsu and was probably the greatest user in the Elemental Nations, as it allowed him to take care of his opponents without fighting them directly, which was nice for a pacifist.

Tekku saw, for example, in canon when Itachi pulled Naruto into a Genjutsu with his finger. Such application allowed him to later put his opponent into a smaller Genjutsu first and later on with his Sharingan once the enemy was already confused by an illusion and didn't even realize he was looking into the Sharingan.

After a while, his clones finished scouring the Uchiha Library and found quite a lot of techniques that could be not only useful for Sasuke but also for himself, as his clones memorized them when they read them.

First, he helped Sasuke choose a useful offensive Taijutsu style, one that relied on speed and quick takeouts, called Flashfist Style. It was optimal for Sasuke, since if he couldn't take out his opponent quickly, he could neatly switch over to the Interceptor Fist and fight defensively with counter-blows.

Next, he pointed out a selection of different scrolls that the Uchiha should study, including Chakra Control, Fire Nature Control, Combat Strategy, Shurikenjutsu, and other small useful pieces of knowledge to give him a hint of how he should progress once he was done with the basic Chakra Control Exercises, Taijutsu, and Academy three.

Lastly, he chose some good Ninjutsu in the Library for the boy to learn that could be useful in a variety of situations other than simple offense. For example, the Fire Style: Flash Jutsu. This was basically a flashbang breathed out of the user's mouth, which had a variety of applications in all kinds of Shinobi situations. Of course, Tekku remembered that technique himself, in case his other plan wouldn't work.

"Work hard, Sasuke, and you will become a strong Shinobi. Don't rush things. I know what your goal is, and Itachi won't be easy to beat. He is a true genius. Some half-assed effort of learning a big-ass fireball won't be able to take him down. Like most of the strongest Shinobi, he mastered the foundation first and became a Genin and even Chunin that way," said Tekku as he said goodbye to the younger boy for now.

"Hn, I will remember that. Thank you," replied Sasuke with a calm tone. He seemed to have become calmer than before. Maybe Tekku had helped him overcome some of his trauma by not underestimating him, even if he didn't plan it since he had ulterior goals.

Tekku left the Uchiha compound normally and relaxed, and wanted to finally go home, until he was stopped by a gust in front of him the moment he stepped out of the gate of the Uchiha Compound.

In front of him stood an ANBU operative wearing a mask resembling a bull. "What can I do for you, Ox?" asked Tekku calmly as he could already guess why he was stopped.

"Hokage-sama wishes to see you, Owl," announced the Ox-masked ANBU calmly.

"Sigh I could have guessed that. And it's my free day. How unlucky can I be?" muttered Tekku before he nodded toward his colleague. "Let's go. I am right behind you."

In a gust of white smoke, both ANBU one on Duty the other off Duty, disappeared in the direction of the Hokage's office in the Academy Building.
