81 Chapter 81: Soon To Be Jonin

"Ah?" Obito thought that after a day of special training, he wouldn't have to go to Mutsuki's place for practice anymore.

"Ah, what? Don't you want to become stronger to beat the challenge and learn Soru?" Mutsuki lightly tapped Obito's head with his finger and said.

"I do want to learn, but I just feel a bit tired," Obito honestly replied.

Unlike Shisui and Guy, Obito rarely practiced all day except on weekends, so he wasn't quite used to this training routine.

"If you feel tired later, you can rest directly. Just focus on learning what I teach seriously," Mutsuki explained with a smile.

When giving special training to all students, he had to consider many things, but when facing disciples, there weren't as many restrictions.

"Then I'll definitely study seriously. Goodbye, Yumi-sensei," Obito chuckled and bid farewell to Mutsuki, ready to go home for dinner.

Even if Mutsuki didn't explain that sentence, he would still go after finishing his meal. He could clearly distinguish who treated him well.

After bidding farewell to his disciples, Mutsuki returned to his residence in the main city area. Every night, he would review the Sealing Jutsu materials provided by Kushina, trying to solve problems on his own. Only when he was truly stuck would he consult Minato or Kushina.

In the past few days, he hadn't discussed Sealing Jutsu with them, accumulating some questions to address after dinner. After finishing his meal, Mutsuki smoothly steered the conversation toward the practice of Sealing Jutsu, bringing up his questions.

Minato and Kushina, being experienced in Sealing Jutsu, easily handled Mutsuki's beginner questions. Mutsuki quickly obtained the answers he was looking for.

"By the way, Mutsuki, do you have time to demonstrate that squirrel fish dish again? We tried it at home, but ours looks completely different from yours. It's too challenging," Kushina took the opportunity to ask.

"That would have to wait until four days later. I'm currently assisting students with summer special training, and I don't have time from Monday to Friday," Mutsuki explained.

Today is Tuesday, not counting the already passing day, there are still three days until Saturday.

"No problem, teach us when you have time on Saturday," Kushina expressed understanding.

"Summer special training? Isn't the Academy on summer break now?" Minato's focus was elsewhere.

"Well, not exactly. It's because I went to Lord Third's house earlier..." Mutsuki explained the situation to Minato and Kushina.

It wasn't something that needed to be kept secret, and it was better to share the details.

"Providing special training for graduating students is indeed a good way to strengthen the abilities of new Genin," Minato nodded and said.

With the current chaotic situation in the ninja world, even though war might not require freshly graduated Genin to the battlefield, having stronger skills would still be beneficial for them to become qualified ninjas quickly.

"This also indicates that Lord Third values you greatly, entrusting such an important task to you," Minato said with a gentle smile.

"Looks like we'll have to call you Mutsuki Jonin in a month," Kushina joked.

Initially, she thought that if Mutsuki seriously practiced Sealing Jutsu, he could become a Special Jonin relying on those skills. However, Mutsuki turned out to be even more outstanding than she had imagined, excelling in the aspect of teaching, making it possible for him to be promoted to a Special Jonin based on instructional abilities.

"I need to achieve results that satisfy Lord Third to be promoted. I don't have a certain assurance of success. Even if I succeed, it's not comparable to formal Jonin like Minato and you, Kushina," Mutsuki modestly said.

The position of Special Jonin is a bit peculiar. While some Special Jonin may possess combat abilities similar to Jonin, most are strong Chunin with special skills. For example, if Mutsuki were to become a Special Jonin after completing the special training, his profile would likely highlight his educational talents.

However, Konoha has high standards for Jonin, and even Special Jonin are considered part of the central power in Konoha, qualifying them to participate in Jonin meetings.

"Who cares about being a Jonin or Chunin? Jonin is always better than Chunin, and if you meet the standards, you can continue to be promoted in the future," Kushina spoke with a rough but reasonable tone.

After resolving the Sealing Jutsu issues, Mutsuki chatted with Kushina and Minato for a while before heading to the Southern Boundary Forest.

When Mutsuki arrived, both Shisui and Guy were already there, engaged in their training.

"Come over here. I'll continue explaining the Chakra burst techniques for Soru," Mutsuki waved to the two.

Before both of them mastered Soru, Mutsuki would focus on teaching this Taijutsu during this period. Only after completing this would he move on to instructing other Ninjutsu and Taijutsu.

For Shisui, he could learn some additional Fire Release techniques to enhance his offensive capabilities. As for Guy, Mutsuki planned to teach him Stone Breathing.

Firstly, Stone Breathing is highly challenging. In the original Demon Slayer series, Stone Breathing is the most difficult among the basic breathing techniques, and early practice is essential.

Secondly, breathing techniques have a powerful body conditioning effect, allowing Guy to better train and strengthen his physique.

Guy and Shisui immediately stopped their training and quickly ran to Mutsuki's side. About ten minutes into the teaching, Obito also arrived.

Obito glanced enviously at Guy and Shisui, who were practicing Body Flicker Jutsu, then began training in Nature Transformation under the guidance of Mutsuki's Shadow Clone.

During his daytime special training, Obito had mainly focused on improving his physical abilities, surpassing his previous training volume.

"I'll train hard for a week and then challenge the test again," Obito thought to himself.

He didn't dare to challenge recklessly; losing would mean earning three papers full of questions.

The next day, in order to complete the Taijutsu challenge, Obito and Guy borrowed weights to wear and started running crazily around the training ground. They only rested when absolutely necessary, continuing the training after their stamina recovered.

"Has Obito always been this dedicated in training?" Asuma, who was resting, couldn't help but be surprised to see Obito pushing himself so hard.

Due to being ahead in progress, Asuma's mindset was relatively relaxed. Mutsuki set a requirement for them to complete water walking and tree climbing two weeks later, but Asuma had already finished it before attending the special training. Even if he did nothing for the next two weeks, he would still qualify.

However, seeing Obito, who was also ahead in progress, working so diligently, Asuma became a bit uneasy. He looked at Shisui and found him practicing Fire Release Ninjutsu. He felt that if Team A had a practical exam, securing the second position might be challenging.

These individuals were too dedicated to their training, as if taking a little more rest would result in significant losses. In the end, Asuma patted his buttocks, stood up, and resumed practicing Fire Release.

With a genius like Shisui exceeding standards, it was normal not to secure the first position, but losing to Obito wouldn't be acceptable. If Asuma lost to Obito, what about losing to other students as well? Asuma couldn't afford to lose face in the upcoming challenges.
