2 Chapter 2: Advantages of Starting as an Orphan

[Acquired Reward — Sensory Ninja Art]

[First completion of teaching, acquired reward — Identification Jutsu]

[First completion of A-rated teaching, acquired reward — Mastery of Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation]

Receiving three rewards at once surprised Mutsuki. He felt a sudden influx of memories, with the most prominent being the memories of practicing Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation.

Those memories were incredibly vivid, giving Mutsuki the illusion that he had been a lifelong specialist in Fire Release.

"Yumi sensei, may I ask you a question?" Shisui asked respectfully.

Upon hearing Shisui's words, Mutsuki, who was about to reevaluate the panel ratings, paused and led Shisui to the back of the deserted teaching building. Using Sensory Ninjutsu to sense, he found no particularly powerful Chakra presence.

Mutsuki relaxed and smiled, saying, "Did you not understand something during the class? Go ahead and tell me."

Shisui shook his head and said, "It's not about the lecture content; it's a question I have."

"Sensei, as you know, the Senju Clan and Uchiha Clan together founded Konoha. But why is it that now everyone only remembers the Senju Clan's contributions, and Uchiha's achievements are rarely mentioned?"

Even though he was a child, Shisui was unusually mature and sensitive. When he went out with his elders, he could sense the peculiar looks from pedestrians on the street when they saw the clan emblems on their backs.

"Why is it that even though both were village founders, Uchiha's contributions are not only overlooked but it seems like the villagers dislike them? Shisui doesn't quite understand."

Looking at Shisui's puzzled expression, Mutsuki inwardly commented, "Senju Hashirama's reputation in Konoha, Uchiha Madara's reputation in Konoha, can they be compared?"

"Have you only read some internal clan history?" Mutsuki asked.

Shisui nodded; the history he could access was limited to what the Uchiha provided.

"The reason it has become like this involves many events, and it's difficult to explain in a short time," Mutsuki said, showing a hint of hesitation on his face.

Seeing Mutsuki's difficulty, Shisui felt guilty. It seemed that this question was more complex than he had imagined. Originally, he thought of dropping the matter, but unexpectedly, Mutsuki spoke again.

"Never mind. If you have time after school, come find me. I'll tell you about the history behind all of this," Mutsuki sighed.

"After all, I should consider myself indebted to your Uchiha Clan. Consider it repaying a favor."

Shisui was puzzled. How could Mutsuki owe their Uchiha Clan a favor? So he directly asked.

"My parents were surrounded by enemies in a war once, and they were saved by a Ninja named Uchiha Kagami. Although they eventually died in a later war, I've always remembered that life-saving favor," Mutsuki expressed his gratitude with a sincere tone.

At this moment, he was grateful that the original self had become an orphan long ago, or else there would have been much less room for maneuvering.

Admittedly, sometimes the dead are more useful than the living.

Shisui's eyes widened, an expression of incredulity appearing on his face. Uchiha Kagami was his grandfather. He hadn't expected to have such a connection with Mutsuki, and a strange feeling arose within him.

However, Shisui wasn't the type to use favors for personal gain, so he didn't make a fuss; instead, he simply thanked Mutsuki.

Before Shisui left, Mutsuki performed an appraisal on him.

[Name: Uchiha Shisui]

[Chakra: 500]

[Potential: SS-]

[Evaluation: Possesses the Six Paths Bloodline, suitable for practicing Fire Release and Genjutsu, tremendous potential, recommended as a disciple]

Mutsuki walked towards the office, reflecting on Shisui's prowess, impressed by the two shiny S-rank attributes. Even the system recommended taking him as a disciple.

Mutsuki casually opened his own panel again to check if there were any changes in his evaluation.

[Name: Mutsuki Yumi]

[Age: 18]

[Chakra: 4300]

[Evaluation: Mastery in Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation. What limits your strength is your low Chakra. If you can overcome this drawback, you can be considered among the elite Jonin.]

"It seems that the mastery of Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation is even stronger than I imagined," Mutsuki felt that he might have underestimated the value of those two words, 'mastery.'

He initially thought it might be equivalent to the knowledge of a Jonin in nature transformation. Now, looking at it, in terms of Fire Release Chakra Nature Transformation alone, he might already be on the level of Lord Third.

After all, besides two Fire Release techniques, he only knew Body Flicker Jutsu, Three Basic Jutsu, and a bit of ordinary Taijutsu. With this skill level, after obtaining rewards and further enhancing Chakra, he could reach the level of an elite Jonin.

Elite Jonin—something like Kakashi and Asuma's level at the beginning of the story.

Despite the significant improvement in strength, Mutsuki was not entirely happy. When he thought about his hidden identity, his joy diminished.

First, there's the Root's curse seal on his body, making him feel quite insecure. Second, that old guy Danzo seems to enjoy sending his subordinates on dangerous missions, making him even more uneasy.

"I need to quickly take on some disciples, enhance my strength as soon as possible. Even if I can't reach the level of casually killing Danzo and leaving, I need to have the ability to protect myself," Mutsuki set a short-term goal for himself.

Entering the office, Mutsuki found three sensei inside, two men and one woman, teasing each other about their respective students.

Mutsuki knew them all because the sensei had arrived early. The original self had visited the school before and acquainted himself with colleagues.

Mutsuki casually appraised one of them.

[Name: Chitani Isamu]

[Chakra: 2000]

[Potential: C]

[Evaluation: Cannon fodder for Chunin]

All three sensei had similar data, all labeled as cannon fodder by the system.

"Sigh, I'm really unlucky. How did I end up with Class 4-2 (Meaning Grade 4 Class 2)? I was originally assigned to Class 3-1," one of the sensei lamented.

"How am I supposed to teach when we have both Might Guy and Uchiha Obito, two heavyweights, all in Class 4-2?" Chitani Isamu helplessly shrugged.

"My family even arranged a blind date for me, asking me to meet a potential partner tomorrow afternoon, coinciding with Class 4-2's lesson."

"Ask another sensei with no classes to help, or just take a leave. After all, a blind date is important," Ueda Aya suggested.

At this moment, Ueda Aya noticed Mutsuki coming in and greeted him with a smile, "Yumi sensei, how did the first class feel? Did the little tips I shared with you earlier come in handy?"

Recalling that this enthusiastic female sensei was worried about him being nervous for his first class as a new sensei, Mutsuki chuckled. During the lesson, he silently recited things like "radish and cabbage" to calm his nerves.

Mutsuki politely replied, "Thank you, the tips were very helpful, although after class, the students advised me not to be picky."

"Haha, Yumi sensei, you're quite amusing," Ueda Aya laughed, thinking that Mutsuki must have had a comfortable first experience if he was in the mood to joke around.

"Chitani sensei, I don't have class tomorrow afternoon. If you need help, I can cover for you," Mutsuki said, placing the lesson plan on the desk with a seemingly benevolent expression.

Unlike other senseis, Mutsuki wished he had classes every day, especially with Class 4-2 having Obito and Might Guy. He wanted to keep an eye on them.

Chitani Isamu's face lit up with joy, quickly expressing gratitude and promising to treat Mutsuki to a meal whenever the opportunity arose.

...

Inside the Hokage's office, Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen watched Mutsuki, who was earnestly speaking about the Will of Fire in the crystal ball. He stroked his goatee and felt that this young Root member was quite good—an individual who understood the Will of Fire.

Danzo thought he concealed himself well, and although part of his force was trained by Root, those not on the official list were already known by Lord Third.

However, Lord Third believed that Danzo was also contributing to Konoha's strength in his own way, as long as it wasn't too excessive, he left him be.

But when it came to the Academy, Lord Third held it in higher regard. So, he personally took a look and was pleasantly surprised to find that the first lesson by this Root member was about the Will of Fire, instilling a sense of responsibility in the students. This pleased Lord Third.

"Let's see how he performs next. If he proves to be a talent, then let him leave Root."

Mutsuki's current performance alone wasn't enough for Lord Third to demand his departure from Danzo. Although fundamentally, Danzo's recruits were also under Lord Third's jurisdiction, he still wanted to consider the emotions of his old comrade.

With this in mind, Lord Third ceased his oracle like jutsu, started dealing with paperwork, and planned to inspect Konoha again later in the evening.

...

After finishing his meal, Shisui began searching for Mutsuki's residence based on the location provided by Mutsuki.

Mutsuki's home was situated in the sparsely built southeast part of Konoha, considered a remote area, quite far from the main city.

Thanks to the limited construction in this area, Shisui quickly found Mutsuki's house—a single-story wooden cottage nestled in a simple yard.

As soon as Shisui entered the yard, he witnessed a scene that left him dumbfounded and mentally shaken.
