Chapter 3: Future Development Direction of Ice Release

Upon awakening the Ice Release, Tōshirō felt like he had found a precious treasure.

With this, he now possessed two Kekkei Genkai abilities simultaneously, and his future was not just bright but blinding.

Although the Ice Release didn't appear particularly remarkable in the original series, Tōshirō knew that the power of ninjutsu depended on the user.

The power of ninjutsu is mainly determined by the amount of chakra invested, and with two Kekkei Genkai, Tōshirō's chakra far exceeds that of ordinary people. If developed properly, his Ice Release wouldn't fall short.

As for reaching the exaggerated level of Aokiji from One Piece, that seems extremely difficult; without tailed beast-level chakra, it's not even worth thinking about.

Tōshirō is aware of his potential; he knows he has considerable potential in terms of chakra, but reaching tailed beast-level might be unattainable through normal means.

He has two ways to become stronger: extreme training and technology.

The first is simple; he could sacrifice someone precious to him to gain power, like awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan.

The Mangekyō Sharingan theoretically could boost his chakra to tailed beast levels.

But this idea is insane; who in their right mind would kill someone dear to them for this?

Certainly no one.

Therefore, the first option is out of the question, leaving only the second: technology.

Technology is the primary productive force.

With so many Kage-level ninjas around in the later stages, ordinary training might not suffice, and technology can help keep up with those high levels.

But for now, Tōshirō needs to work hard and refine his basics.

He decided to focus on developing his Ice Release before concentrating on the Sharingan.

He began experimenting with his abilities. Despite not being taught by anyone, some things seemed ingrained in his genes, allowing him to understand them instinctively.

Tōshirō went to the kitchen, turned on the faucet, filled his hands with water, and infused it with chakra. After a few minutes, the water temperature began to drop, and it started floating in the air.

Additionally, he could slightly alter the water's shape, like changing it from a sphere to an oval or a cone. More precise changes became extremely difficult.

Tōshirō maintained this state for a few minutes until the water began to fall and spread across the floor, forming a puddle. Upon closer inspection, small particles of ice could be seen, formed when the water's temperature dropped significantly.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, not expecting this simple task to consume so much chakra.

After breakfast and a short rest, he continued training and improved his control over the floating water and its temperature.

Feeling successful, Tōshirō immersed himself in training, losing track of time. When he looked at the clock, it was already 10 a.m.

Being late for school was inevitable.

Tōshirō had decided to adopt a lazy student image at school, so he wasn't concerned about being late, but he still chose to go because he was tired and wanted to sleep there.

After washing his face, he took a small pillow and put it in his bag, then headed to the Ninja Academy.

Upon arriving at the classroom, the students looked at him with strange gazes.

Scratching his head, Tōshirō said, "Am I late?"

The teacher replied sternly, "Tōshirō, do you know what time it is now?"

Tōshirō responded seriously, "Justifying is covering up the mistake, and covering up is acknowledging the mistake. I'll go stand as punishment."

The teacher was taken aback by his firm response, expecting an excuse. After hesitating, he said, "Alright, since it's your first offense, go back to your seat."

Tōshirō replied, "No need to talk, teacher. Not punishing a mistake is encouraging it. Your kindness and forgiveness encourage wrongdoing."

His passionate and expressive words stunned the teacher.

The teacher said, "Okay, go stand as punishment then."

"Thank you, teacher."

Tōshirō bowed deeply and left, gently closing the door.

The students were bewildered by this act.

The teacher said, "Let's continue the lesson."

Tōshirō, standing in the corridor outside, heard the lesson continuing and lay down on the ground, resting his head on his elbow, trying to sleep.

At that moment, he had a realization.

Awakening the Ice Release was great.

Kekkei Genkai abilities are extremely rare in this world.

But because they are rare, he didn't have many examples to follow in learning ice techniques.

The only place he could research was the Ice Clan in the Land of Water.

But going there as a Uchiha from Konoha would be suicidal, so he needed to find another way.

His mother died early and left nothing for him to inherit, so he had to rely on himself to develop his power.

He needed to find the right path to develop ice techniques.

He could use the Sharingan to copy other ice users' techniques, but developing techniques takes a long time, and copying them is much faster.

However, he felt that using the Sharingan in this context would be troublesome.

So he needed to think differently.

He remembered that in the original series, there was a place where ninjas used ice from the environment, although it wasn't traditional ice techniques, but he could benefit from it. Even though he didn't have the persuasive charm, he believed he could convince those ninjas with goodwill.

After thinking, he also remembered Gaara's sand techniques. Maybe he could use snow similarly?
