Chapter 9 : Money, Money, more money.

The sun was sinking low, casting long shadows across the village of Konoha as I walked alongside Guy, Duy, and Kurenai. But, my mind couldn't let go of the recent summons to the Hokage's office.

As we strolled through the street of food, I made a conscious choice to keep the details of the meeting to myself. There was no need to burden my dear friends with concerns they couldn't directly assist me with.

Instead, my casual explanations eased any potential worries.

With a reassuring smile, I said, "It's nothing to worry about, guys. Just a routine check-in regarding my apprenticeship at the hospital. They think I have some talent for it. No need to stress over it."

Guy, the spirit of youth, responded with a hearty nod. "Ah, I see! The path of a medical ninja is indeed a noble one. You have our full support, Kyudo!"

Kurenai, typically mature for a 6-year-old, allowed a hint of childishness to her face in the presence of friends.

So, she gave her thoughts, stating, "It's incredible that you are talented in medical ninjutsu. I wish I could be the same, but the sheer amount of books that weigh more than me is enough to say goodbye to that option."

Duy, the epitome of ADHD, simply patted me on the back. His actions spoke volumes about what he thought about that.

Soon, we reached our respective homes, and everyone diverged.

And finally, I was left alone with my thoughts. As I settled in my bed back at the orphanage, I couldn't help but reflect on the High-Energy Ration Pills, commonly known as Chakra pills.

Chakra pills were created for chunin-level and higher-level shinobi, who can consume the pills so that they could replenish their chakra capacity.

However, these pills had risks, of which the biggest risk was their toxicity for those with low chakra control or capacity like Genin. The pills would flood their bodies with chakra, which would turn into excessive calories. This could lead to various problems.

In the best-case scenario, the extra calories from the chakra pill might become cholesterol or fat.

In the worst-case scenario, they would harm the body enough to make it explode from too much physical energy.

Shinobi who only use the pills occasionally may still face tolerable side effects such as indigestion or sleep deprivation, especially during combat or missions. Regularly taking the pills for training purposes may lead to the build-up of waste substances in the body, potentially causing kidney failure.

However, this issue didn't affect the original users of the pills - medical ninja.

Their extensive knowledge of the human body allowed them to be a druggie. They could easily control the pill digestion. Remarkably, the chakra control for this task was only at the genin level.

My control is at a respectable tree exercise-70/1000.

The first issue, dealing with the overwhelming surge of physical energy, was easier for me to handle compared to the other genin due to my exceptional spiritual energy, a characteristic that separated me from my fellow peers.

Spiritually, I was an adult who had even experienced death. This unique trait allowed me to continue moulding chakra as long as I freed up the chakra capacity by consuming it.

However, despite these advantages, the pills poked a significant problem for me—they were expensive, priced at a staggering 10,000 ryo each. The only reason medical ninjas could afford to use them was because of Konoha bearing the cost so that they could treat the patients.

So, I decided.

To afford the costly pills and further my training, I needed to expand my pizza stall into a full-fledged restaurant, a long-term investment that could significantly help my income.

The problem, however, was the pitiful 200,000 ryo I had saved from the stall. While my business was profitable, with average earnings ranging between 40,000 to 50,000 ryo, most of the income was used for essential expenses: herbs, kunai, shuriken, and bonuses for my employees.

To make my restaurant dreams a reality, I needed access to additional funds, and that's where the real challenge lay. Unfortunately, the rules meant I couldn't fully access the funds in the bank until I turned 18.

I pondered my options, weighing the possibilities. In the end, I threw the issue onto the lap of the Third Hokage himself. After all, it was his command that set me a goal. Hopefully, I can slowly form a relationship with him through these repeated interactions.

Maintaining a close connection with the village leader could only be beneficial for my future. The examples of the legendary Sannin, Minato, and Naruto who were loved by the hokage made me gulp my saliva in thought of the benefits.

With the plans made, it is time to implement them. "AI, come on, let's get to work on that report," I said, ready to become rich. After all, the restaurant means, I can already see a future chain of KK Pizzaria, mapping the world.

--------A few days later----------

The sun cast its warm afternoon glow across Konoha Village as I made my way toward the Hokage's office. As I approached the Hokage's towering stone office building, giving me good vibes.

Upon reaching the office entrance, I took a deep breath, steadying my nerves. The guards recognized me, once cross-checking my name on the appointment list. They allowed me to pass with a nod. I entered the Hokage's office, where the Third Hokage's eyes met mine.

"Kyudo," the Third Hokage began, his voice was deep, well that is the only thing I could tell. For me, a shinobi Trainee, talking with him is freaky. Sometimes, I can't tell how many of his expressions and words are true. Even the off-hand moods I can detect from him are because he is willing.

So, the old man emitting a kind nature, said, "I've received your request, and I must say it's quite an interesting report you made."

[Author's note: You know the drill. It is at the end of the chapter. Just for immersion.]

I bowed respectfully to Hiruzan, "Thank you for your compliment, Hokage-sama."

The Third Hokage leaned forward, supporting his chin with his fingers, and addressed me, "Little Kyudo, It is not a easy request from you, to manage your entire inheritance funds."

I acknowledged the Third Hokage's statement and elaborated, "Hokage-sama, I need the funds primarily for acquiring a proper location for the restaurant and covering the initial expenses of setting it up, such as purchasing furniture, equipment, and ingredients.........….."

"............…I intend for this venture to be the long-term support for my training regime."

With that, I explained my intention to use Chakra pills to increase my chances of reaching the deadline. The Third Hokage's gaze softened as I explained each knowledge point regarding them. I have a feeling that this is a genuine smile because you don't get a title as a professor if you aren't a knowledge lover.

He said in response, "Kyudo, I am impressed with your idea and knowledge behind it. As for the restaurant, I have faith in your abilities from seeing the success in the food stall."

He leaned back in his words and started with, "But why should I make an exception for you? I mean, your classmate Kakashi was barred from his father's inheritance till he became an adult."

It went unsaid that Kakashi graduated and is now an adult in legal terms. So, as for the reasons, I told him, "I believe this venture can not only provide a unique food style for Konoha. It also supports the orphanage by providing job opportunities. You see, there might be dozens of workers needed in the restaurant, luckily the job is one with low skill requirements. So, I plan to employ the kids from the orphanage."

Third Hokage thought for some time. As I waited, I saw an Anbu appear behind him and whisper something. He sighed at that and looked towards, "I will grant you access to the funds you require for this venture under the condition that you maintain transparency in its management. I require constant follow-up regarding the restaurant."

I immediately said, "I understand the responsibility of business, Hokage-sama,"

I assured him further by saying, "I am prepared to provide regular reports and updates on the progress of the restaurant, as well as any financial matters."

The nod back from him made my day. I am overjoyed at this chance, as I can finally get a regular meet-up with him. (Or) I would have to deal with other financial advisors imposed by the administration.

Let's stay positive and hope for the future,

But the Hokage continued with his words, keeping his expression thoughtful. "Kyudo, I've been mostly thinking about your intention to use the chakra Pills."

I nodded, feeling a sense of anticipation. "Yes, Hokage-sama. I believe that with these pills, I can enhance my abilities as shinobi to the next level."

The Hokage regarded me with a measured look. "I understand your explanation, Kyudo. It is the same idea used by most of the Medical Nin to keep their Chakra capacity up in treating many patients. However, there is a particular aspect of using these pills that concerns me."

I furrowed my brow in curiosity, "What aspect, Hokage-sama?"

He leaned forward, his gaze unwavering. "It's your claim of being able to manage the excessive physical energy these pills provide. Since you are nowhere near a chunin level. While I do not doubt your abilities to clear toxins and manage the physical side effects, I find it hard to believe that you can effectively control the excess energy."

I understood his doubt.

After all, he haa no clue about my large spiritual energy.

Measuring spiritual energy was a complex and imprecise task, much less the ways to train it.

Most individuals simply endured the constant strain of usage of chakra until spiritual energy naturally grew.

Graduating from his training was only possible for Kakashi due to the constant battles he had to face, which played a crucial role in his spiritual energy growth.

This becomes even more significant when considering the unfortunate reality that the world is filled with child soldiers.

[Remember the Hypothesis in chapter 1.]

My claim to control it was indeed a bold one. It said that I can endure the pain from excessive energy and mould the chakra, indirectly saying my mind is as strong as a chunin.

"Hokage-sama, I hold a special advantage," I explained earnestly, "My spiritual energy surpasses my physical energy, granting me the ability to mold and employ it with remarkable effectiveness."

The Hokage's expression remained serious. "Words alone may not suffice, Kyudo. I believe it's best to put this claim to the test."

--------After some time.------

With those words, he summoned Dr. Tanaka, who arrived promptly. Dr. Tanaka is the head of Konoha Hospital right now. That and he is my mentor.

The Hokage explained the situation to Dr. Tanaka, and the doctor nodded in understanding.

"Very well, Hokage-sama. I will conduct tests to assess his ability to manage the Chakra Pills and check for any side effects."

The tests would not only determine my ability to control my physical and spiritual energy, but have the benefit of ensuring my safety under Dr Tanaka.

As Dr. Tanaka prepared for the test, I knew that this examination was crucial for all the things I requested.

I must Pass this test by safely showing my ability to consume the chakra generated by the High-Energy Ration Pills.

Dr Tanaka, "Dated XXXX, Recording the data. You can begin the test, Little Kyudo."

I nodded back and immediately swallowed the chakra pill. I immediately got to using the flooded calories to make Chakra. It was easy because I had far too much data from the hospital to fail in this task.

However, as I continued to do so, I faced a silly problem.

I felt my reserve was full, and that I had no means of consuming chakra quickly. Inwardly, I felt a lot of embarrassment. It was a crucial detail that I had missed. I hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to proceed.

In a second I felt the Hokage behind me, putting his hand on my back. I felt the chakra from the pill was like a water drop compared to the storm, the Hokage's chakra.

He said to me in a puzzled tone, "You are doing well, Little Kyudo. But why are stopping? I believe it is best to consume some chakra since your chakra is already full."

I awkwardly told him, "Hokage-sama. You see, I have no chakra-intensive Jutsu. But I have a training that can consume the chakra but I am not good at it."

"What is it?"

"Fire Nature Transformation."

"HA HA!" I watched as the old man laughed and said, "Continue. I will give some pointers to help me along the way."

I eagerly agreed and got started.

So, I felt my chakra flow from my hands onto the fingertips. Slowly, the chakra was consumed rapidly to burn the calories. While a bit proud, I was unhappy.

Still, it was inefficient.

But I soon heard the Professor, Hokage's voice, "Control Your Breath: Fire transformation is intimately tied to your breath control. As you exhale, visualize your chakra igniting like a controlled flame. The steadier your breath, the better your control over the intensity and shape of your fire jutsu."

I followed his words religiously.

After all, my training methods had been created from the books I had read in the library and the AI, my knowledge in this, was limited to what was commonly available.

With the Hokage's guidance, I experimented with nature transformation to consume the chakra more efficiently.

With each attempt, I learned and improved. I discovered that by increasing the conversion rate, I could generate Flame Sparks that burned for minutes, even causing a slight burn on the corner of a leaf. The progress was exciting.

The Hokage's pointers were invaluable, and I could increase my nature transformation from 15 to 17 units in a single sitting. It was a game changer for me, and I could see the potential for further growth.

As I soon as depleted the chakra. I refilled the chakra by consuming the pill. Allowing me to repeat the process. Deplete. Refill. Deplete. Again and again.

As I tirelessly ingested three pills on repeat, the day appeared to slip away, and by the end of the session, I had achieved an impressive thirty units of mastery.

I could not help but be in awe of the professor's teaching skills. It was an incredible improvement, and I knew that this experience had opened new doors for me.

I requested his guidance and mentorship when I graduated from the academy at 11-12.

That is right, I do not intend to graduate next year. I do not need ways to increase the spiritual energy as mine is already more than the physical energy. I just need time to grow my body.

As my theory goes, the more I use chakra, the more my body adjusts to it, resulting in an increase in chakra capacity.

I soon got the ok from Dr Tanaka, "Your talent in Medical Ninjutsu is truly remarkable, Kyudo. You know, I was 22 and was a chunin when I did the same. " With a hint of humour in his tone, he playfully remarked, "It seems to be so much that the talent from Medical ninjutsu seemed to spill into other areas."

Implying my theory was right. I can grow stronger than long as I have time. No need to risk my life on the battlefield.
