22 First Kill [22]

"Instead of one of my agents going themselves though I want you to go with one of them to retreive your subordinate. The main reason for this is I want you to get your first kill and eliminate a bandit camp all by yourself and getting Guren yourself will make it easier for you to get her on your side of things." Danzo says making me get a contemplating look.

There are a lot of pros with this as it gives me the opportunity to get my first kill, some experience with planning out an attack and a better influence over Guren.

The cons would be in this situation if I'm ready to kill and that there is always a chance of me dying.

'My chakra sensing has improved from 2.5km to 10km in recent years so I should be able to avoid any uneccesary trouble and kill a bandit camp if I play safe and not overestimate myself.'

"Okay."

"You will have 30 minutes to prepare." Hearing this I nod.

'This was pretty random and unexpected but what can I do? I mean I wouldn't wanna miss out on a potential kage level subordinate, would I now?'

Finishing the conversation I make my way back to my room to prepare my items.

For this mission I will bring 4 kunai with two in each pocket, 30 shuriken with two sets of 15 being in two different storage seals next to my sides where my kunais are stored, two smoke bombs, 5 soldier pills, a few metres of metal threads and a glove with two storage seals holding my rations and my katana made out of chakra metal.

I also can't forget my blank mask though.

To sum it all up I'm quite prepared for this mission, or in other words Bird got me everything I needed.

But I did make one thing and it was the seals on the gloves.

In my spare time when practising my fuinjutsu I made two storage seals on a glove. One of the seals was on the palm where the katana was stored while the food was on top of the glove so when I'm not in danger I can just eat something on the go with my left hand.

Quite a useful trick that I will gift my subordinates to make them even more "indebted" to me.

The 30 minutes passed by faster than I expected as I quickly told Karin and Asashi that I was going out for a couple of days.

This is important as I really want that kage level subordinate if you know what I'm talking about, but I wont be scared to leave if it's too dangerous as I value my life.

After leaving my house I sense someone coming to me at fast speeds. This person I recognise as Sloth as I remembered his chakra signature appears in front of my kneeling.

"Shimura-sama today we will retrieve your next subordinate, I will make sure to escort you." Sloth says in a neutral voice.

"Aight, lets get a move on then." I reply as Sloth puts his hand on my shoulder, body flickering us out of the village.

We first appeared in a tunnel then after that we were suddenly directly next to the outer village walls.

'They must have a hidden tunnel or something to leave and go as they wish.'

Sloth and I spent the first half of the first day running towards the water country border to head to a small town where Guren is located, Sloth and I just travelled at moderate to high Chunin speeds with me needing to rest on some occasions.

I sensed a lot of interesting people while on the way to the land of water borders with the biggest reserves I found that was a guy 7km away at the time who had Chunin level chakra reserves which was the highest I saw all day.

"Sloth what is the town called." I asked as the whole day has been spent running and I'm getting quite bored.

"The town is called Narawara and is located near the outer borders of water country territory."

'Interesting, there should be a few rogues around that area atleast.'

I'm currently thinking about how I want my first kill to go.

Kunai to the heart?

One on one?

Kill him stealthily?

I have many options but I think I will opt in for the kunai kill as it will guarantee my safety over getting into a blown out fight will multiple bandits which isn't ideal or a chance of me being caught while killing someone.

Sloth and I travelled untill it was night and spotted a bandit camp near the Narawara town.

Using my sensor skills I just do my first basic scan of the area to see what I'm working with.

'There are 12 bandits while the person with the highest chakra reserves I assume is the boss as he's in the biggest tent out of the five, has low genin reserves.'

So basically this should be relatively fine if I don't battle them in numbers and play it safe without alerting the others when I kill. This seems to be a relatively small group that probably either lost a lot of members or are just starting to pillage areas.

After 20 minutes of waiting I made a sound plan to eliminate this camp.

This camp has one watch tower while five other tents surround a campfire making a kind of circular shape with the watch tower being kind of distant from the rest.

My first targets will be watch tower for obvious reasons, I don't want to kill people while someone is watching from above and has the ability to singal for everyone else to go gang up on me so this is a no brainer move.

After signalling to Sloth that I'm about to begin I silently wait for the right moment to kill the bandit when he's standing still with my kunai.

There are three bandits currently watching the outer area of the camp so I waited for those three to be too far from the tower to notice a kunai swishing through the air.

The bandit not knowing what is about to come his sits down on the bench in the watch tower proceeds to look up at the sky.

Seeing the opportunity I take my kunai and start to breath in and out.

Activating my swift release I throw the kunai at blurring speeds at my target.

"Swoosh." You can barely register the sound of the fast kunai in the air and when the bandit did.

It was too late...

"Sqwelp." The kunai hitting the target, pierces the bandit's heart using the speed from the swift release to instantly kill the bandit.

'One down 11 more to go.' I say as I proceed to vomit my guts out near a bush out of sight, with me regaining myself right after by taking deep breaths.

'I need to keep my composure and with that everything will be fine.' I say this trying to cheer myself up.

Now I just need to eliminate the three outer bandits next till I can target one tent at a time.

My strategy after stealthily killing the three watchers would be to silently kill two people at a time in the first three tents.

Before going to the fourth one though I would make a trap on the fifth one so I could kill the boss easily. This trap will include using smoke bombs to distract the guy while putting some metal thread near the entrance of the fifth tent to make the guy trip over as I swiftly kill him with shurikens.

I will purposely let the bandit in the fourth tent scream and call out for his boss so when the boss rushes out of his tent to help out he would have already fallen down and killed with swift shurkinen.

it's very simplified I know but it's better than taking them all at once or getting into an all out brawl as stealth kills are easier than one on ones.

Well I do need to pull it off so I can't start talking yet.

It's all about timing and being aware of where people are.

So lets get this over with.
