Hearing Zetsu's doubts, Aizen's lips curved into a slight smile as he spoke softly.
"Fasten his plan?"
"You are mistaken, Zetsu. If that senior wishes to gain even a sliver of benefit from the war I provoke, the price he will pay will make him regret it."
With these words, a sharp glint flashed in his deep eyes.
Feeling the indifference in Aizen's words, Zetsu did not pursue the matter further.
At this time.
Aizen slowly stood up, looked at Zetsu, and spoke softly.
"Do you want to see the results created by the combination of your body and my experiments?"
Hearing Aizen's words, Zetsu hesitated for a moment before replying softly.
"If it's convenient for you, I am indeed very curious."
Aizen chuckled softly.
"Then let's go. Although the experiment is still in its initial stages, the results have been quite good."
With that, he extended his pale hand and gently tugged at the space in front of him.
The space slowly began to ripple, and then a pitch-black space was revealed.
"Follow me," Aizen said softly.
After speaking, he stepped lightly into it and disappeared into the pitch-black space.
Hearing his words, a barely perceptible excitement flickered in Zetsu's eyes, and he too slowly stepped into the dark space.
The dark space closed gently like ripples, disappearing from the spot as if it had never existed.
Meanwhile.
In another quiet location within the silent grand palace.
The bone-like white walls reflected vague shadows.
"Tap!" "Tap!" "Tap!"
The crisp sound of footsteps echoed through the silent palace as two figures walked along a spacious corridor.
Of the two, one was very slim with long red hair, his long bangs covering one eye, and the eye that was visible had several concentric rings in the pupil, giving him a very strange appearance.
The other was slender and petite, with blue bobbed hair and a pale, delicate face that seemed vulnerable and appealing.
Both appeared very young and were dressed in black and white uniforms, walking side by side.
"Nagato, what do you think Yahiko is doing now? Has he completed the training Lord Aizen assigned him?"
At that moment, the petite girl turned to look at the young man beside her and spoke in a delicate voice.
Hearing her words, Nagato, as if remembering something, chuckled softly.
"According to the time, Yahiko is probably on his way back by now."
"But knowing him, he's likely to take a lazy break somewhere along the way."
"After all, even if he rushes back, he'll end up like us, with nothing much to do."
The girl beside him smiled with eyes like crescent moons, looking quite adorable.
She seemed to think of something suddenly and spoke softly.
"Do you think Yahiko will walk back to Las Noches as Lord Aizen suggested, taking each step earnestly?"
Nagato thought for a moment and then replied softly.
"Maybe he will. Despite Yahiko's carefree nature, he always takes Lord Aizen's words to heart very carefully."
The girl beside him nodded lightly, a slight smile in her crescent eyes.
In this moment, she felt utterly content with everything around her.
Being able to serve under Lord Aizen and help him had made her feel tremendously valuable.
And since her childhood friends were also with her, growing step by step into beings that could aid Lord Aizen, she suddenly felt that Aizen's nickname for her as the "lucky one" was truly apt, as she felt like the happiest person in the world.
Beside her, Nagato watched her smile gently, warmth hiding in his eyes.
Being able to see your smile every day is like living in heaven for me.
I will make good use of the power of these eyes... to protect your smile.
At that moment, however, his expression suddenly shifted as he spoke softly.
"Konan, do you remember what you felt when you walked to Las Noches?"
He frowned slightly as he continued.
"I followed Lord Aizen's instructions and walked earnestly, step by step. It should have been correct, but in the end, besides being exhausted, I didn't see any special sights."
Hearing Nagato's words, Konan gasped, her beautiful eyes widening in surprise.
"Nagato, too!?"
Seeing her reaction, Nagato looked at her in surprise.
"You didn't see anything either?"
Konan's pale face blushed slightly as she stammered.
"I don't know what happened. I did as Lord Aizen said, but besides feeling tired, I didn't see any unique sights either."
She blushed again and whispered,
"I thought I was the only one who didn't see anything."
Hearing her words, Nagato looked puzzled and murmured,
"Could it be... could it be that Lord Aizen was joking with us? It doesn't seem like him to make such a pointless gesture."
Konan shook her head slightly, also unclear.
Unable to figure it out, Nagato gave up on thinking further. However, a sudden idea made him chuckle.
"Konan, do you think Yahiko will choose to walk back this time?"
Hearing his words, Konan paused briefly, then tilted her head slightly and exclaimed,
"No, that can't be just a coincidence, can it?"
Nagato's eyes twinkled with amusement as he spoke softly.
"You never know. Let's go wait at the entrance of Las Noches for a few days."
"We don't have anything else to do these days anyway, and Yahiko should be returning within these days. It will be fun to see him exhausted."
Hearing Nagato's suggestion, Konan's pale face blushed slightly.
Her big eyes showed interest in the idea as she nodded softly and said,
"Okay."
With Konan's agreement, Nagato smiled softly and said,
"Let's go then."
After speaking, the two turned around and walked toward the entrance of Las Noches.
Inside the vast Las Noches, various halls interconnected, all with pathways leading to different areas.
Even the two of them hadn't explored all parts of the vast palace.
At this moment, the two were heading to a particularly secluded palace.
The light in this palace was very dim, and the shadows cast by huge pillars added a sense of oppression.
Walking through the corridor, both Nagato and Konan felt something was amiss.
"Nagato, the atmosphere seems a bit off. Could we have accidentally entered the palace that Lord Aizen told us not to?"
At that moment, sensing the oppressive atmosphere, Konan spoke softly.
Hearing her words, Nagato's eyebrows furrowed slightly as he replied softly.
"You might be right. Let's head back. Since it's Lord Aizen's order, it's best not to defy it."
With that, Konan nodded lightly.
The two turned to go back.
But just as they turned, a small figure suddenly appeared in their view, startling them!
In the interplay of dark and light shadows, the small figure cast a long shadow on the ground.
He stood in the vast, empty palace, his gaze calm as he looked at them, his presence exuding a lonely, quiet aura.
Seeing this person appear, both Konan and Nagato immediately became alert, a hint of sweat forming on their foreheads.
Who is this guy?
