Due to his slowly fracturing mind, the people who fed him and ran tests decided to let him read manga and watch anime. But what he discovered was he might not even be the same species as these people. When Fate turned an accident into his cause of death, a magical glowing man told him he could live again. {I have made some changes to the story path I originally intended. Tick Tick

The world around Yuto froze. A constant Tick Tick could be heard while he looked around in confusion.

Suddenly, a vortex appeared where a man with three multicolored rinnegan appeared while looking at him with pity.

"You are Subject 398, correct?" the man asked with a deep penetrating voice.

Yuto felt his being stripped from himself to reveal who he was before, grey skin with purple blood seeping from his body slowly from where tubes were once attached.

"You know, the other guy messed up when he sent you here. He didn't follow the rules dictated by this universe's god." the man spoke while he walked over and sat on the Hokage's desk.

Yuto was confused, "What do you mean? What rules?"

The man sighed before replying, "I am the god of this universe though I have long forgotten my real name, I am usually spoken of as the Patriarch of the Otsutsuki clan. After consuming many planets I reached the point where my only growth was to fuse with the universe itself and become its god. Still, to think that man would send one of my descendants into my universe without even considering my rules."

Yuto tilted his head still confused while he sat down. "What rules did I break?"

The Patriarch smiled gently at Yuto. "Well, the first rule that was broken was that you were born as someone, not of my bloodline. This would have actually led to you dying fairly soon due to the body-soul disconnect. Lucky for you, I have a solution to this. The second rule you broke was that you are not supposed to reveal future events unless you have actually lived through them. You only read about them from the peepers from his universe."

"I'm sorry." Yuto lowered his head in shame. He didn't know about the rule to not tell the future, so he felt he let down his grandpa.

"It is fine, Yuto. Now the solution to the first will lead to a chance to fix the second. Sadly, this means that the survivors of the Uchiha Clan other than Itachi and Sasuke will disappear. I will let you keep your memories from training but the others from the short life you led will be sealed."

Yuto nodded, understanding that his foolishness had led to him losing some of the people he cared about. He swore in his heart not to talk about the future again.

"What is the Solution? Will you make my mom a member of the Otsutsuki Clan?"

The Patriarch shook his head in denial. "Sorry, but the mom you have now will not be your new mom. You see, the fates had decided to only have two possible Otsutsuki Clan lines remain in that time frame. The Uchiha and the Uzumaki. Fortunately for you, there is a timeline where Naruto died of starvation while he was at the beginning of the Ninja Academy. He had just registered, so you are set to attend. Just remember, no talking about the future, but other than that you are free to enjoy your life as you see fit. You will have a fate guide granted to you though due to Asura's reincarnation fusing with you."

Yuto thought about what he just heard for a while before realizing what was said. "I am going to be Naruto?!"

The Patriarch nodded with a smile. "Yes, you will be Naruto Uzumaki. Feel free to give him or rather you a better life in this timeline."

Yuto nodded while tearing up. "What happens to the me of this timeline?"

"I will erase him, since he was not supposed to exist and because of the broken rules. Still, I will use my power to gift your mother with a new child with a new soul. So, don't worry."

Yuto thanked the Patriarch before losing consciousness.

----

Naruto woke up feeling weak. The smell in the room made him feel a little nauseous but he held his stomach back from emptying what it had inside.

'Wait, this is Naruto's room. Man, he is a mess,' Yuto thought while looking at the room. 'I should get this place clean and find something to eat. He did just starve after all.'

The sun was coming up when Yuto finally finished cleaning his room. Luckily, he found he had a couple of cups of ramen that were unopened and only hidden under some trash. That at least filled his stomach and with his Natural Energy Absorption, he didn't need as much food, so he should be ok for a while as long as he can find at least a small amount of food periodically.

He quietly performed some of the Toad Kata to shift his Sage Chakra to be closer to Toad Sage Chakra, then noticed it was time for the Academy.

"Looks like some boring days ahead."

He changed into some cleaner clothes before rushing off to the Ninja Academy for the first day of school. Unlike his first day of school previously, this time everyone took some distance from him and whispered about him being a demon fox. The students in class looked at him annoyed by his presence.

Naruto looked at the people present in the room. It was the same as last time except for the missing Uchiha and his old self. He saw Ino sitting at a desk chatting with some other girls.

"Hello, Ino-chan. Are you having a good day?" He asked with a happy smile.

Ino looked at him with disgust. "What do you want Naruto? Why don't you bother your precious Sakura if you have to bother someone?"

Naruto felt a pain he wasn't expecting. Dejectedly, he walked over to a spot at the back of the classroom and sat down. 'Right, I am not her future husband in this timeline. Why did I expect anything else?'

The class filled up quickly while he sat at the back of the room. A set of shuffling feet arrived that had noticed he was looking sad.

A timid voice spoke to him kindly. "L-let's do our b-best N-Naruto-Kun."

Naruto looked up and saw Hinata Hyuga looking at him with a determined but red face.

"Sure, Hinata-Chan. I hope you work hard too. But remember, sometimes methods that work for others don't work for you due to the nature of our bodies." He gave her a smile and a wink as he hinted at her Chakra Nature not being compatible with the standard Hyuga Gentle Fist style.

Hinata seemed to overheat at the wink before passing out. Naruto caught her and placed her at a desk so she could wake up on her own.

'Even in my last timeline, she was in love with Naruto, so should I see if I can have her as a wife?' Naruto thought seriously.
