Naruto: Root Ninja

A young man is killed at the age of 20 and is reincarnated into the world of Naruto. But unlike other reincarnators, he didn't meet anyone, nor did he get any wishes or powers. He wakes up in the body of a 3 year old kid. He looks around and finds a man with bandages covering one side. He said to the three year old kid "From now on, you are Hakuto. Meet Kaze, he will be your brother from now on and the Root foundation, your home." For the first time after writing 4 books, I have decided to go for NO HAREM!!! I am going to try something new and the whole fan-fic is going to be in MC's POV. I know that I am bad at POV and that's why I would like to get some advices after you read a few chapters so that I can improve them in the future Although I plan on making the MC go from weak to strong, I still don't know the power balance and that's what happened in the last fan-fics. I sometimes end up giving him some power that makes him way stronger than others. I did say I wasn't going to write anymore, but I decided to write anyways. For those who already read something I wrote, would know that till date, I haven't completed even a single story. I am. not going to promise that I would finish this, but I will try to finish it. I don't own the cover and got this from an episode. I also don't own anything other than my OC characters.

Chapter 3

I was surprised and disappointed when I heard that I would do only physical training. I wasn't someone who liked doing anything physically when it can be solved with money.

Even in school, I bribed my P.E teacher and passed without any physical strain.

I was fed food, which were some ninja pills. They were tasteless, but only after eating three, I felt full. Another thing that surprised me was that I actually flet my fatigue fade away.

Noticing my confused look, the root ninja said "It's a special pill made by the Akimichi clan that helps recover chakra. That's the reason you feel energized. Now time to use that energy." and made me run again.

He drove me like a slave, forcing me to do things beyond my limits. I did remember a certain character from a anime that always said "Surpass your limits."

I wanted to punch that idiot if I meet him somewhere. Surpassing limits is not something easy. My current state was the prime example of it.

They didn't even let me rest. I was given a pill to recover my chalta when tired. I also had constant muscle tears, which were healed by some medical ninja.

All in all, they are more cruel than those army trainers. They at least give a break if your are hurt, but these idiots don't even know what break is.

I struggled the whole day and lost strength and laid down on the ground. The root ninja said "Well, today we went easy on you just because you are a civilian who joined recently. The real training starts tomorrow."

I didn't know what to day, but I was kind of expecting that statement, so it didn't hit that hard.

I looked at the roof, which was made of mud. We were underground, so this was expected. Then Kaze appeared in my sight.

He looked at me and said "Looks like you had a easy day today. Don't expect the same from tomorrow."

I didn't want to think about tomorrow and just wanted to rest for today. So I asked him to take me to my room, which he surprisingly did.

He threw me onto my bed and said "I would be yelled at by my seniors if I left you there alone without anyone to watch you."

That idiot didn't want to leave me without anyone watching me, that's why he brought me with him. "And here I was going to thank him. You don't deserve it." I shouted in my head.

I closed my eyes and immediately slept. The next day, I woke up and wasn't woken up but Kaze.

I was surprised that I woke up early without anyone having to wake me up. That's when I looked around and found that Kaze wasn't on his bed.

I thought that he was using the bathroom, when suddenly my eyes caught sight of the clock, which said that the time was 6 am.

"That idiot didn't even wake me up." I screamed in my head as I got ready as soon as possible and ran to the training ground.

The root ninja, who was supposed to be my personal trainer for the month, was looking around and just by looking at his body language, I could tell that he was pissed.

I went to him and said "Sorry, I was tired from yesterday and overslept."

The trainer frowned and said "Punctuality and discipline is the most important trait of a shinobi. I will teach your body to wake up early."

I didn't know what to do at that situation. Any lie I tell would easily be found by the root ninja and once they figure out that I can lie and am not truthful to them, things will start to go bad. So, honesty was the only option I had.

I could feel the root ninja's anger through the training he put me through. There weren't much changes to the schedule. He just added a time limit to all the tasks I did yesterday.

It wasn't just because he was angry. This method was to force me to become faster, but he did increase the reps from yesterday as a punishment. As always, I was completely tired by the end of the day. I was struggling to even lift my arms.

The trauma I faced that day helped me to wake up on time everyday. And slowly, with each passing day, I lost track of days and a month passed by and my results of training were clearly visible

The root ninja apparently used the training schedule of a taijutsu user and also added weights after the first week. I asked him whether it would hinder my growth and he replied that this training has helped many to even fasten the growth.

Due to this training, I was surprisingly not last. Excluding the adults, I was second among the seven kids who were training.

A kid with brown hair was first. I couldn't see his face due to his mask, but his eyes were scary. Today, my personal root trainer came to. me and said "This.much physical training is enough for now. You are permitted to follow the official training schedule of the other newbie root ninja."

I didn't know how to react to this. Good thing about this is, I get to learn how to do those cool ninjutsu, and the bad thing about it is, I only get a single meal.

I was someone who loved food and likes to eat. So, although those pills weren't tasty, I was at least eating something.

So, with my disappointed self, I followed Kaze to a Hall where there were desks. It was time for our theory lessons and we were taught about tactics like what to do in situations like infiltration, sneaking into places, assassination, etc.

Then we were taught how to read, write and other normal social skills, followed by geography and other political stuff.

And in almost every thing they teach, they include Danzo. Like for example, we were being explained about political figures and they classified them as in favor of Danzo and against him.

Then another teacher came in. He said to the kids "Now, we will learn about chakra and it's uses." and I immediately directed all my attention at him.

"Chakra is an energy that is a mixture of both physical and mental energy. That means if anyone is completely out of chakra, his physical and mental energy to do basic tasks such as breathing, is also empty and this dead.

Ninjutsu and Genjutsu use chakra to perform various things. The most important in this is the hand signs. There are 12 hand signs." he explained, showing all 12 hand signs.

He continued explaining "These hand signs help you to assign the required chakra and how to mould it. It is a way to instruct your body as to what to mould the chakra into and how much chakra to use.

There are many great shinobi like Danzo-sama who can execute ninjutsu without these hand signs. You can reach this level only after repeated practice and a great amount of experience."
