Chapter 5 War Part 1

Uzumaki Clan members could be seen moving quickly throughout the island planting traps and hiding multiple explosive seals on their bodies.

The shinobi of Uzushiogakure knew what was truly at stake here. It isn't just their lives or secrets of Fuinjutsu at stake but the fate of their clan! There was not a single shinobi not strapped with explosives, each man and woman was prepared to take their enemies with them if the situation required it.

"Everyone In positions! Our guests have arrived!"

Hearing this all shinobi got ready and hid whether it be in trees bushes or underground. They even utilized Specials seals that hide chakra and are capable of going unnoticed by even most sensors.

moments later the sound of ninjas jumping In trees could be heard throughout the forest.

The closer the sound got the more tense the atmosphere became. Several individuals were clenching their fists and tightening their grips on kunai. All it took was for the right moment and the sounds of war would fill this peaceful forest.

silent murmurs happened between some of the men as well "Hold men hold... they're almost here"

*swoosh swoosh*

All tar once the hidden Uzumaki members became surrounded by foreign ninjas that we're traveling through the area

"ATTACK!" With that one-word numerous red hair shinobi jumped out of their positions, and only the sound of kunai clashing and ninjutsu could be heard in the once-quiet forest

- 2 miles from the battlefield -

*BOOM* the sounds of explosions could be heard coming from the island

"What's the situation on the battlefield?" Asked the Raikage slightly worried because of the sounds of explosions happening

One could even feel the island shake slightly when the bigger ones went off

"Lord Raikage we're not getting word back from the front lines! It seems they are being hard pressed."

"How can that be? We outnumber them I refuse to believe that our forces are being successfully blocked!" Anger became evident on his face especially because of how much he had invested in this effort. If he didn't make back what they spent on this war the Daimyo will start annoying him again especially since the Lightning Daimyo didn't want them invading Uzushiogakure.

"Perhaps we should see the situation Aye Lord Rokage?" Spoke Kenji since he was also worried about his forces.

The Land of Waterfall wasn't one of the great villages but it had a good record for producing Jonin's, The last two wars have used many of the resources of the village and this expedition was meant to help the village out of that situation.

"I agree with the Jinchuriki it's best if we head to the front lines as well"

with that statement from Onoki, the three immediately took off toward the battlefield

*Swoosh Swoosh*

While getting closer they began to grow more fearful of the situation as the sounds of explosions seemed to increase. What really terrified them was the destroyed bodies they began to see and the many craters that seemed to fill the edge of the battlefield which is most likely where the fight first began before pushing further in

"Wh..what is this?" Kenji was stunned he couldn't even recognize some of the corpses but one thing was certain most of the bodies weren't Uzumaki

"Those Damn Uzumaki! What tricks are they using" Raikage was even more furious if he lost too many forces here then this whole expedition would become worthless!

"We can't linger here we must head to where the explosions are" Onoki was just as mad but he knew the importance of keeping a clear head. He was not called the fence sitter for nothing after all.

- Uzumaki Evacuation Point -

The villagers were terrified many could hear the sounds of explosions and screams in the distance.

Many people could be seen praying for the safety of their loved ones and wishing them luck on the battlefield.

Though none were more worried than the possessors of the eye of Kagura. Thanks to their unique sensor abilities they were placed in charge of guarding the civilian population to avoid dangers if they were forced to go into hiding.

Some Uzumaki even decided to leave the island thinking there was no hope and mentioned they would head for the smaller countries. No one chose to stop them since they could understand where they were coming from. Though this group was a great minority and only consisted of a small percentage of clan members.

One red-haired boy seemed to not be as worried as the others as if he knew what was happening on the battlefield.

[Akashi POV]

Crazy absolutely crazy

that's literally all I can think of right now.

when I first arrived in this world I noticed I had the eye of Kagura but truly being able to tell what's happening from so far away is astonishing.

Though what's really terrifying is the number of chakra signatures disappearing. No wonder the Uzumaki Clan got destroyed these guys are freaking strong! Even without the explosive tags they are killing at least 3-5 shinobi before becoming overwhelmed.

I wasn't so sure of our chances before but now I think we really do have a shot at winning this. Especially since each Uzumaki is killing at least 7-8 enemy shinobi before dying!

Seeing these results I can't help but feel pride that this is the clan I chose.

I am slightly worried about the butterfly effects this will have on the future but honestly, I don't care. I ain't Spider-Man 2099 crying about canon events after all!

What does have me anxious is the ships that left earlier I really do hope nothing bad happens to them. But hey I can only wish them luck leaving was their choice after all.

Out of nowhere, I felt goosebumps all over my body! What is this chakra...

Focusing on my mind's eye once more I sense three individuals heading towards the battlefield but I'm really focused on one individual in particular.

"This chakra there's no way it belongs to a human... could it be a Jinchuriki?" I quietly asked myself truly astonished by the magnitude of the chakra I felt

No wonder tailed beasts are sealed away. If humans are ants then those tailed beasts would be comparable to elephants. I knew the difference in chakra was huge from watching the anime but actually feeling it press on you especially from so far is really crazy.

"Did you say anything Akashi?

ah guess she heard me earlier

"Yea, Mom I was just wishing luck to Dad and Gramps!" Tch acting like a child is tough. I know my cover is already blown with how I acted in the war room but hopefully, they just think I'm smart for my age. Well no point thinking about this further tomorrow's problems belong to tomorrow's me
