Chapter 34: Returning to Konoha!

Tobi and Mitsu meets for the first time, and Mitsu is annoyed out of his ballsacks.

Mitsu realizes Black Zetsu's involvement and tries to lure him out!

But due to fate or just for the plot *ahem* Sissy's interference, Black Zetsu and Tobi manage to escape due to a loud noise and earthquake distracting Mitsu.

The earth shook due to the battle between one Uchiha Itachi and the older emo Uchiha dressed as Madara.

The fated battle was cut short as the escaping Zetsu warned and stole Obito away from the battlefield so Mitsu wouldn't find them.

Mitsu arrived late, only to find a broken battleground and a seriously contemplating Itachi.

Near Konohagakure, Land of Fire

5 days after the event with Tobi-

[A/N- Some of you get confused, when the story is occurring, so I will write the occurrence time like this for now...]

[General]

The giant gates of Konoha were almost in sight. As the third prince's carriage moved rapidly through the ever birch road.

The prince and his party were returning to Konoha. It was earlier than they intended to.

But after sealing the deal with The Wasabi Family, instead of going to The Land of Honey, they decided to cut their trip short. As Mitsu thought, it was better for them to return to Konoha and report the abnormalities.

He also wanted to find out more from Kakuzu.

Everyone agreed with his decision.

It would be unwise for them to keep traveling to unknown lands when they got attacked not once in this trip but twice.

Yet, they had no concrete information on their assailants.

Well, of course, Mitsu wasn't concerned about it. He seemed quite cheerful, in fact. But the same couldn't be said about the others.

Fuzzy turned into the over protective mother-hen he always aspired to be and wouldn't leave Mitsu's side even for a second. It was a cute sight to behold for the others, but for Mitsu...

Mitsu was almost at the limit of his tolerance... He was 'this' close to chaining Fuzzy up and shooting him to the moon.

He was sure Toneri would love the gift and might even leave his Hina-bunny alone. But he restrained himself.

As for the Aki samurai, he started wearing his armor full-time. His reasoning was simple- 'Always be prepared.'

Mitsu just left him to his own devices. If there was anything he knew after living two lives, it's- 'Never argue with women and Old people! Umu, umu.'

As for young Itachi...

He was in deep thought most of the time. He wasn't his cheerful self and was regressing back to his Uchiha controversy days.

His lack of sleep was showing in his eyes, the effect of stress was clear on his face.

Mitsu was getting annoyed at his brooding so he called him as they were approaching the village.

"Itachi." Mitsu called.

"Yes, Mitsu-sama? Do you need something?" Itachi asked in reply. He was a bit surprised at the sudden call.

"Yee!...

Cut that out!

Why the frick are you brooding like a maiden who gained a few extra pounds? [E/N: just be glad he isn't using his native tongue- hn]

I thought the stuck up broody Uchiha died off with the failed coup…" Mitsu looked straight at Itachi's eyes as he said his words.

Itachi lowered his head a bit. He was slightly embarrassed. But he still replied.

"Mitsu-sama…

I am not brooding, I am just in thought.

There was the news of a Village targeting you, Mitsu-sama.

Then that masked person appeared, calling himself Madara. He even claimed that we had some great secret hidden in our shrine.

And finally the important thing you said at the end.

All of these are making me think. But I assure you that I am not brooding over anything. Just trying to make sense of the plethora of information I got recently."

Itachi made his case... But, Mitsu wasn't buying it!

He narrowed his eyes and looked directly at Itachi.

"I have 3 things to say!

First of all, you ARE brooding!

Second, that DOUCHE was no Madara, I assure you!

And third, what is this FRICK about me saying something important? When did I do something like that?"

Mitsu seemed confused. He started thinking back on every important thing he'd ever said. But no matter how much he tried…

It was futile. The results came out blank.

In his thoughts, 'Umm… I should say more concrete things from now, instead of just spouting my usual nonsense… At this rate my biographer won't have anything good to write..'

He then glanced at Itachi questioningly, who smiled in return and replied,

"Don't worry Mitsu-sama, I understand your feelings completely. And you were right about your statement.

So do not worry, I already talked with Aki-san and Fuzzy-senpai. They both agreed and we decided to do our best!

Please excuse me for now, Mitsu-sama. I need to go ahead and let the village know of your arrival. And don't worry, I will stop brooding."

Itachi did a slight bow and flickered away leaving a Mitsu who felt too tired to deal with all the continuous misunderstandings…

Same day~

In the Hokage's Office~

[Hiruzen]

Two of my precious students returned a few days ago.

I was happy to see Tsunade and Jiraya back. But the meeting wasn't really…

Pleasant.

I had to deal with a very enraged Tsunade who almost tore the whole tower down. She might have just done it, if Jiraiya didn't take the hit.

[A/N: RIP Jiraiya]

She demanded to see the culprits' corpses as she didn't believe that they deserve a proper burial.

And as much as it hurt me, I couldn't deny her reasoning.

But, I had to decline as the young prince had already seen to it. He made sure that the traitors of his land would not retain a shred of respect after their death.

When Tsunade heard about the shaming of the dead culprits. She felt a myriad of emotions. Regret and sorrow were only a few of them.

I then told Jiraya to take her back home and let her recuperate from all the vile events she had to go through recently.

But before Tsunade left, she made a request,

"I want to meet the third prince. I have some things to ask him." She said.

And of course I agreed.

I assured her that I would arrange a meeting between them as soon as the prince returned to Konoha.

.

But before the prince returned, we received a letter and a package from him. It arrived two days after Tsunade came to my office.

No matter how ridiculous it sounded, the package contained a man who was bound and had all of his limbs cut off..

At first, people were appalled. But when they saw who the man was....

They were terrified but also understood the prince's reasoning.

He did the right thing sending the bandit back as such. The man was none other than Kakuzu, an S ranked missing nin, who fought with the Lord First, and lived to tell the tale.

I was most impressed by the feat.

I had questions for Mitsu-sama but those would have to wait for later.

.

And today, a week after receiving the package,

my receptionist came and told me that Itachi wanted an audience.

Now,

Itachi being here already said a lot, so I quickly ordered him to come in and report.

And surely, after a minute,

"Excuse my intrusion, Hokage-sama.

I am here to report the return of Mitsu-sama.

He also asked for a direct audience." said Itachi as he greeted me with a salute.

I nodded and gave him the affirmation. But when he was about to go back. I thought of something and told him to wait.

"Itachi, I want you to deliver a message to the Senju compound. FInd Tsunade and tell her that she has been summoned." Giving Itachi the order, I looked out the window. 'I hope Tsunade understands why I sent Itachi.'

I knew, there were many things happening in the dark, that I was still not aware of [E/D: Fricking incompetant as always]. And some of them might be targeting the prince.

I need to tread carefully, or things might end badly....

A bit after Itachi left the Hokage's office~

Senju Residence

[Tsunade]

I received a summons from the old man. But he didn't tell me the reason.

I was only told to meet him immediately. I felt a bit weird about the sudden summoning. But I didn't think too much about it.

I then looked at the message bearer. It was a Ninja wearing a Jonin flak Jacket and the Uchiha police uniformshirt.

I knew that the Uchiha were blamed and then redeemed. But I don't remember any Uchiha being in the Hokage's guard.

Not to mention, the boy wasn't even wearing an ANBU outfit. Also, he seemed way too young to be a Jonin.

So with my curiosity peeking, I asked him, "Boy, introduce yourself."

He smiled, did a short bow and introduced himself, "Yes, Tsunade-Hime, my name is Uchiha Itachi and I am one of the personal guards of Mitsu-sama, the third prince."

Hearing him, I realized why the old man sent him to me.

That brat, the third prince, was back.

So this was my chance to meet him.

'I can finally meet the little devil whose guards made a quick work of Danzo and even found out about Koharu's treachery!'

The kid even has immense influence in the village. And Shikaku's testimony on his dominance and intellect peaked my interest!

But I will judge him for myself. Besides, I have a few questions to ask him. I really want to know his stance on Konoha and his vision for the future.'

I smiled and quickly got ready.

Then, followed the young Uchiha to the Hokage's office.

As I opened the door, my eyes fell on a head of brown hair on whose shoulders hung a black jacket. He was giving off an aura of vitality, which felt extremely familiar.

Shocked, I stood there frozen as I watched him.

'Who is this kid!' was the only thing on my mind.

Somewhere hidden in Ame, Underground~

[General]

"Get ahold of yourself, Tobi! Why are you acting like this?" asked Black Zetsu with slight annoyance.

"ZETSU!

HOW? H-how do-does that k-kid know of Kaguya?" Tobi asked with horror apparent in his voice.

Zetsu was concerned as well.

He didn't understand how that kid knew of his Mother's name as even the notion seemed impossible to think.

There was no possible explanation for anyone else to know of his mother.

Not even the incarnations of the two brother's knew of her. So it was simply impossible for such an anomaly to appear.

'No, it must have been a fluke. We might have misheard him. Or it might just have been an auditory Genjutsu, that I was unaware of.

Yes, that must be the case.' Zetsu thought in his mind. He wanted to deny all possibilities of someone not from 'that' era knowing about his mother.

He then looked at Tobi and said, "Don't worry about that, Tobi. He must have used some sort of Genjutsu to make us hear about what we fear.

There is no way that he knows about the rabbit goddess."

Tobi turned silent, but he didn't seem convinced. In Tobi's mind he was thinking, 'I know what I heard. It was no Genjutsu. I need to find out more.

But why do I feel like I lost something.

I can't remember what I've lost, but the feeling is still there…'

Tobi then silently looked at the pondering Black Zetsu and slowly dissipated…

Unfortunately I will be taking a break till 14th February, because I need to work in the lab for my graduation thesis. I know, I know…. Booooo! But that's just the case. It's too hard to write and do the lab work at the same time. And honestly I have been way too stressed.
