LET THE CHAPTER BEGIN

Aki's head spun with confusion and anger. 'Son of Hiashi Hyuga?' The revelation was not only shocking but also brought back a surge of unwanted memories crashing back.
The memories of the time when he was six and was ambushed by a group leaf shinobi led by Hiashi Hyuga himself.
After they had gouged his eyes out and sealed his chakra network. Helpless, Aki was left to die in the wilderness by a group led by the very person being presented to him as his father.
'Hiruzen is nuts'
"No..." Aki muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. "You're lying... This can't be true."
Hiruzen's eyes softened with what seemed like empathy, but Aki knew all that was just an act to manipulate him. The Third Hokage leaned back in his chair, a practiced look of solemnity on his face.
"I know it is difficult to accept," Hiruzen continued, his tone calm and steady. "But you have the right to know where you come from. Why you were taken."
Aki clenched his fists, his nails digging into his palms. "Taken?" he spat, his voice trembling with fury. "Do you have any idea what happened to me? Do you know what Hiashi and his lackeys did?"
Hiruzen's eyes narrowed slightly, showing the slightest hint of confusion. "Hiashi? What are you referring to, Aki?"
"Don't act like you don't know!" Aki's voice rose, emotion cracking through his words. "When I was six, they came for me. Hiashi and his men—they ambushed me, gouged out my eye, and left me to die in the wild! I survived because I was strong enough to crawl out of that hell on my own!"
"Who in their right mind would do something like that to their own son?" Aki felt angrier the more he thought about this.
If you are lying at least make it a convincing one, Aki felt disappointed in Hiruzen at this moment.
Hiruzen's expression turned grave, showing a mix of regret and earnestness. He took a deep breath, carefully choosing his words. "Aki, what you've just revealed aligns with a dark incident from our past, though it seems there are some crucial details that differ from what I believed happened."
Aki's eyes narrowed, his suspicion deepening. "What are you talking about?"
"The mission involving you was meant to secure your safety and bring you back to the village," Hiruzen said slowly.
"But two rogue Jonins, who were part of Hiashi's team, went against their orders.
They attacked you with the intent to steal the Byakugan. As the son of Hiashi, your eyes were believed to hold a purer bloodline, and they were driven by greed."
Aki's internal sarcasm flared up, 'As if the eyes of a six-year-old would even be of use to them.'
His anger surged again. "And you expect me to believe that Hiashi was innocent? That he just stood by while this happened?"
Hiruzen shook his head, "Hiashi is not without the blame. He led the mission when his own teammates decided to betray him while he was engaged with the Kumo Jonin."
Hiruzen continued with a solemn expression. "By the time Hiashi realized what had happened, it was too late. They had already gouged out your eyes, attempting to take them for themselves."
"Hiashi couldn't even detect what was happening with his Byakugan; they had already led you away from his range."
'So, you knew every damn thing and were just pretending,' Aki thought. 'Nice save if I were actually just a 10-year-old and not a reincarnated Naruto fan. But I would be going into rage mode right now if that were the case.'
Aki's hands clenched into fists. "Then why did he leave me there? Why did he let me die?"
"Shouldn't he at least try to find my corpse?" Aki inquired about the final plothole in Hiruzen's made-up story.
Hiruzen met Aki's gaze steadily. "Hiashi killed the two Jonin after they reported your death. They claimed you were too difficult to capture, so they killed you.
After that, he searched everywhere, even sent his teammates to scour the entire forest for your remains, but after ten days of searching, they found nothing. He had to return, disappointed and aggrieved."
'If they actually did that, I would be found in less than an hour' Aki thought to himself. But as he had decided to play along for the sake of "survival". Actually, Aki wanted to stay in Konoha for a little while.
"Right," Aki replied, his voice laced with skepticism. "So, they just left, assuming I was gone without a trace."
Hiruzen nodded slowly. "It was a tragedy that marked Hiashi deeply. The Hyuga clan lost an heir, and the village lost a potential prodigy. He believed you were gone, Aki. And I, too, believed you were lost to us."
Aki had to bite his tongue to stop himself from retorting. He knew this was all a convenient narrative to cover up whatever really happened.
But for now, he would let Hiruzen think his story was convincing. After all, pushing too hard could corner him in ways that might be dangerous.
"So, what now?" Aki asked, his voice tinged with mock curiosity. "Are you going to tell me that my 'father' is overjoyed to learn I'm alive? That he wants to take me back into the clan with open arms?"
"Yes, we have already informed Hiashi of your return he is just waiting outside the office waiting for you"
Hiruzen felt smug at this point as he had already convinced the Hyuga clan a few days prior. Convincing Hiashi was even harder than convincing the elders of the clan.
It only worked after Hiruzen told them they can accept him temporarily while figuring out how the kid recovered his eyes and the supposed seal, that might have been implanted by Kumogakure.
Aki's mind raced as he absorbed Hiruzen's words. The thought of facing Hiashi Hyuga again, the man who had led the mission that nearly ended his life, made his blood boil.
But he couldn't afford to show his true feelings now. He needed time to think, to strategize. This unexpected turn was something he had to handle delicately.
"Outside the office, huh?" Aki replied, keeping his tone neutral. "So, he's already here to welcome me back into the fold. How... touching."
Hiruzen nodded, oblivious to the sarcasm in Aki's voice. "Hiashi is eager to see you and understand what happened all those years ago. He has expressed a deep remorse for the loss and a desire to make amends, though I understand this will take time."
Aki almost snorted at the irony. Make amends? What kind of amends could make up for the loss, the pain, and the betrayal? But he knew he had to be cautious. If the Hyuga clan was suspicious of him, they would be watching his every move.
"Well, it's not like I have much of a choice, do I?" Aki muttered, feigning resignation. "I guess I'll have to see what he has to say."
Hiruzen smiled, seemingly satisfied with Aki's response. "That's all we can ask for now. Take this time to re-familiarize yourself with the village. The Hyuga estate will have a place for you, but you are free to stay in the guest quarters if you prefer."
"How generous of you," Aki replied, letting a hint of sarcasm seep through his words. "I suppose I'll meet with Hiashi then."
As he turned to leave, Aki's mind was already working on how to handle the upcoming encounter. Meeting Hiashi would be a test, one that he couldn't afford to fail. He would have to be careful, play the role they expected of him, and gather as much information as he could.
~~ 2 hours later ~~
The talk between Aki and Hiashi did not succeed. Aki could feel insincerity in Hiashi, so he decided to go with a guest apartment for now.
He couldn't run away from the leaf village right now, there were too many ninjas watching over him. After all those talks and the unknown time, he had been unconscious.
Growl… growl
His stomach growled in protest his face flushed, he could not ignore his hunger anymore. The nerve-wracking experience a while ago only intensified his hunger.
Aki asked the Jonin assigned to accompany him by the 3rd Hokage, who was surprised at Aki's knowledge about the existence of Ichiraku Ramen, but he guided him there nonetheless.
"How do you know about Ichiraku Ramen?" the Jonin asked casually, glancing at Aki with a curious look.
Aki shrugged, trying to appear indifferent. "I overheard some people talking about it," he lied smoothly.
In truth, he knew from his previous life's knowledge that Ichiraku was a staple in the village, but revealing that was out of the question.
"Here we are," the Jonin said, gesturing to the entrance. "I'll wait outside while you eat."
Aki nodded and stepped in, taking a seat at the counter. An elderly man with a kind smile approached him with a smile.
"Welcome to Ichiraku Ramen," the man greeted warmly, "what can I get for you?"
Aki smiled at the old man 'Teuchi-san' and ordered while smiling.
"I'll have the miso ramen, but could you make it with chicken and replace the chashu with extra chicken slices instead? Just as much as you can fit in there, please."
"Coming right up!" The man cheerfully went to prepare his order. Aki sat back, trying to relax, but his mind was already racing with thoughts of the recent encounters with Hiruzen and Hiashi.
'Teuchi-san the strongest and most evil hidden character in the series' Aki mused to himself while thinking of a joke that went around the fandom.
As he waited, A few seats away, a small boy with bright blonde hair was eagerly slurping down his ramen with so much enthusiasm that it caught Aki's attention.
