Ch 18 : Chisaki's graduation

When the exam started, the Chunin, who looked like he was in his 20's, looked down on Chisaki and said:

"Kid, being a ninja is no child's play. Just enjoy your time in the academy. Trust me, when you become a ninja later, you will miss your time in the academy!"

"Thank you for your advice, but I have my own reason to graduate. And one piece of advice, I recommend you to use your full power from the get-go, or you will only feel the world is unfair. I can't promise that you won't get hurt."

"Kid! Stop underestimating people too much!"

The Chunin was a bit interested in Chisaki's words, so he decided to try something.

He put his hand in front of him as he started forming seals right away:

" Wind style: Great Breakthrough!"

Chisaki himself has a wind affinity, so he was very familiar with this move.

The user breathes wind from their mouth, blowing away whatever is in front of them. The technique itself is quite simple, but its power varies significantly depending on the user's skill and how strong they make the winds.

This Great breakthrough, Chisaki couldn't even count how many times he tried this move before he eventually succeeded.

By the time his opponent launched his attack, he already was one step ahead as his overhaul ability didn't require any hand seals.

" Reshape: Ground wall!"

Right in front of Chisaki, a ground wall appeared and clashed with the wind ninjutsu, which the wind ninjutsu launched by the Chunin was easily blocked! Since the enemy was just a Chunin, a single layer of the ground wall was enough to nullify this attack.

"How!?!" The Chunin was stunned!

A no seal jutsu, this was his first time seeing such a high-level technique, especially from a kid like Chisaki.

But worthy of a Chunin who has gone through the great ninja war, The Chunin found out that Chisaki was better than him in terms of creating Ninjutsu. So he stopped using Ninjutsu and started relying on Taijutsu to fight the Chisaki.

"Are you underestimating me? Or this is the full extent of a Chunin?"

After just a few strikes, Chisaki was overwhelming his opponent. The combination of rock wall and rock spikes used alongside close combat was just too lethal, especially when Chisaki didn't need to place his hand in the ground like how the original Overhaul needed to use his ability.

As time went on, the chunin barely managed to hold his own. More than half the period has passed. He knew that Chisaki was right. He could no longer treat Chisaki just as a mere child.

No longer caring about the fact that his opponent was just a child, the Chunin decided to put all his power here. Battle power was not only Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, but also experiences and tactics, and the Chunin believed that if he was to do his best, he would be able to come out on top of Chisaki.

But the gap was just too big to be crossed with a few tactics. The Chunin was not a lot faster than Chisaki, and Chisaki was somewhat disappointed with him.

He had tried to do some sneak attack or diversion, but everything was countered with overhaul ground manipulation.

Losing interest in the fight, Chisaki eventually decided to end the fight.

" Earth Dragon armor!"

The magnificent scene of the earth dragon appeared in front of everyone.

"This is.. what the heck is this power?" The Chunin looked at the earth dragon full of despair.

No matter what, he could not see himself breaking the defense of the earth dragon.

But just before the earth dragon could hit the Chunin's body, some iron sand gathered around Chisaki and blocked his attack.

"That's enough" Said the Third Kazekage as the result of the battle now was pretty much obvious.

Chisaki was able to easily overpower a Chunin, and he had the capability to get the early graduation.

But to grow this much after experiencing his father's death, maybe that loss was not necessarily a bad thing for Chisaki.

Prior to this, Chisaki was strong, and his manipulation of the Overhaul was good, but it was nowhere near this. Combining Taijutsu with Overhaul to cover his blind spot should not be something that Chisaki was able to do before.

"Kazekage Sama, can I graduate now?"

"*Sigh* Do I need to say it to be more obvious? You pass your exam. From now on are a fully-fledged Suna Shinobi." Under everyone's eyes, Chisaki showed more than enough strength to prove he could defend himself.

And it had created a great sensation in the eyes of the elders.

A new monster was born in Suna, and with him and Sasori, the future of the Suna could be said to be in the safe hand.

Chisaki then went to the photo studio to take a picture, fill out a ninja form, and officially become a Suna Genin.

The day was already late, so after Chisaki finished his exam, the Third Kazekage decided to send him back home.

After this, Chisaki would go through the harsh life of a ninja, so just for today, he would let Chisaki go home early and enjoy his time.
