Naruto Online: The Strongest Shinobi

Michael, living in a dystopian world devastated by nuclear warfare, discovers a new VRMMORPG game called 'Elemental Nations.' Excited by the opportunity to escape his harsh reality, he purchases the Tier 1 headset and prepares to embark on an adventure. In his cramped living space, surrounded by the remnants of his previous life, Michael contemplates the hardships he and his family endure. The scarcity of resources and the confined conditions serve as constant reminders of the post-apocalyptic world they inhabit. As Michael watches the game's trailer, he recognizes familiar elements from the anime series Naruto. His passion for the show in his previous world fuels his excitement to explore this virtual rendition of the Naruto universe. However, in this new world, anime is not as popular, with people favoring slice-of-life stories over war-torn narratives. Equipped with the VR gear, Michael eagerly enters the game, expecting to unleash his knowledge of the Naruto world to become a powerful shinobi. The game's mechanics limit the number of players who can join as shinobi from the five great villages, adding a sense of exclusivity and competition to the experience. With the promise of potentially earning money through the game, Michael sees an opportunity to contribute to his family's welfare. Unemployment and limited opportunities in the real world have left him longing for a chance to make a difference. As the game servers go online, Michael finds himself transported to a new location, ready to embark on an extraordinary journey within the virtual world of Elemental Nations. Little does he know that this adventure will hold secrets, challenges, and the potential for him to become the hero he aspires to be.

CHAPTER 50???: An Invitation

Chapter 50: An Invitation

Authors note:

Wow, didn't think I would reach this chapter so soon in my opinion (sarcasm guys, took a year), that being said, I hope you guys think my fic is unique at the least!

"Hiruzen! This type of behavior cannot be allowed!" Danzo shouted as he heard Naido's report to The Hokage and the 2 village Elders.

"Yes." Koharu stated her own opinion, "If we allow this to pass, our ninja will think it is okay for them to make their own decisions."

"A Ninja's job is to obey the orders of the higher ups without questions asked." Homura also stated.

"What do you think, Naido?" Hiruzen ignored the council and turned to Naido's opinion.

"I think while wrong, a young ninja should not be punished for what has already been done. Instead we should allow him to learn from his mistake."

"That's all well and good, until this action sets a precedent for all Ninja to begin disobeying us!" Danzo shouted with anger.

"Hiruzen, send this kid to Root! I heard he has figured out unique usage of his Clans techniques, the Root can use these skills and I will also be able to straighten him out."

At that, the atmosphere of the meeting changed a little.

Danzo also realized what he had just said, since at one point it had become second nature for him to ask for every talented shinobi.

The 4 people in the meeting stared at Naido calmly, waiting for his response.

He wasn't called the mad monk for no reason after all.

"My student will not be joining root." Naido stated clearly to which the 4 elders of the village didn't say anything.

"I wish to ask something, Lord Hokage." Naido questioned.

"Speak your mind Naido, you have earned at least this."

"I wish to know what you intend to do with the 2 tails."

Hiruzen paused for a moment and then sighed.

"Typically after a Jinchuriki is captured, there would be a negotiation with the opposing Nation to send the Jinchuriki back and we get some things in return…"

Naido's face turned into a visible scowl when he heard that.

"Please understand." Koharu said, "If we keep the 2 tails, the Leaf will be considered a massive threat and all Nations in the world will attack us."

"So let them." Naido stated calmly.

"War is not a good thing."

"I have played the good soldier my whole life." Naido stated calmly. "I was also promised vengeance by this very council. I have gotten my first step and you already wish to take back your word."

"That is because this is too unreasonable!" Danzo said as he slammed the table, "I am all for weakening the enemy, but this will make it so the whole world will aim to kill us."

"And I don't give a shit. I will not rest until she and the Raikage are dead. I will not let the woman who killed my parents remain alive!" Naido stated with anger as he stared down the council.

"So what is it? Do I go ahead and contact the Akatsuki?"

"YOU DARE THREATEN US?! RIGHT IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOKAGE?!" Homura screamed.

"I dare do as I please. You old folk sit in your ivory palace and have us do your work for you while you enjoy the fruits of our labor.

You let my parents die all because the cloud asked for some land for their lives!

You're lucky I don't kill you right now."

"You destroyed everything in the vicinity of that land anyway."

"Because it will forever be a reminder for you that I could destroy you if I wanted to. I guess that reminder wasn't enough."

"Now that's enough." Hiruzen said, calming every down a little.

"I promise you we will not send the 2 tails back." Hiruzen said, making his choice.

"Alright, then I have a proposition. Let my student take it as a Jinchuriki."

"Well that can be negotiated….if your student can join the Anbu."

(MC pov)

"So you are alright?"

"Yes, I have recovered almost completely too."

Yuki and I were walking out of the hospital, since we both recovered relatively quickly. It seemed like players healed ever so slightly faster than normal people.

"What is the plan now? Didn't you lose the tailed beast? Will there be repercussions?" Yuki questioned as we reached our normal training grounds.

"I don't know, but for now I think we should finish your mission. Can we do it right now? As the entire upper echelon of Konoha is occupied?"

Yuki nodded.

"The guy in the Anbu right…how should we start to find him? What is the standard application to join that anyway?" Yuki asked.

"I believe it is something along the lines of being personally selected by the Hokage."

"Should we go for Sasuke?" He asked to which I couldn't help but shake my head.

I am sure I can take on Sasuke easily, but was it worth it ?

"No, we should try something else…for now, let's just train. I would suggest we discuss how you would like to specialize. From my understanding the aspect you receive will boost your current self.

Mine was anything shadow related.

Your should be related to your fire-style.

Maybe you should begin working on Elemental training with Fire. Maybe, you could even go for Genjutsu

"That makes sense." Yuki told me while nodding his head, as he left to find Naido sensei.

Who else to ask then the man who has allegedly mastered all the basic elements to a ridiculous degree.

And the faster Yuki finished this quest the better. Since I needed him to realize the Aspects affect our real bodies.

When he does, he will probably invest a lot more into the game and make himself much stronger.

[Ghost: So, how has your progress been?]

Seeing the notification pop up in front of me, I couldn't help but remember what he asked me days ago.

To join his guild, and we could trade information.

Did that mean he knew about the Aspects affecting the real world already. Maybe it was smart to probe him for some information.

[Lost from Light: Decent. Recently became a Jonin?]

[Ghost: Ah….so you should have felt your Aspect in the real world. It seems like you're the only individual player to reach this far so here is a piece of advice. Don't tell the world yet. The world will crumble and we are not ready for that]

What he said did make sense…most normal players now were probably going to chase EXP to pay for food, while the stronger ones would hog all of it to upgrade themselves to crazy extents.

I just casually glanced at the EXP page.

[-Trading EXP-

Right now the exchange rates are as follows:

(Selling to the system)

1 EXP = 100 Credits

(Buying from the system)

150 Credits = 1 EXP

(To trade with other players, press here)

The game will track and change this value as time goes along.

Players can also trade for their own prices regarding EXP and use the system as a medium for the trade. The system will track and change its own prices according to the players prices]

I then pressed the player listing.

-EXP SALES PAGE-

? (Sale request)- 10 EXP for 80 Credits

SparklingEcho (Purchase request)- 100 EXP for 750

? (Sale request)- 10 EXP for 99 Credits

-Private Sales-

Some people were trying their luck selling for higher prices.

Plenty of high ranking players were purchasing EXP to boost themselves further.

So none of the lower ranking players would even have a chance to reach Peak Chunin, let alone become Jonin and get their aspects.

There was also a private sales page, where players could sell at EXP at any price.

[Lost from Light: How many people know about this?]

[Ghost: Most guild masters. Heads of RagerTech too. It is a tightly kept secret for now.]

[Lost from Light: And why is this happening?]

[Ghost: Join my guild and I will tell you]

I didn't respond.

[Ghost: You do know people would kill to be in your shoes right?]

[Lost from Light: They would, not because of your offer, but since I am one of the strongest players in the game right now]

[Ghost: And without influence, how long will that last?]
