Chapter 3: *Hidden Title - See the end*

Everyone ran through the village towards the academy. We passed lots of people on the way and to be honest, it all seemed like an array of colours, Blue, Red, white, pink, black, I think I even saw someone with orange hair.

Looking at their power levels most people on the street were civilians. I saw a few people with Genin power levels and most of them were younger than 16. They all had titles that showed as 'Genin of the Leaf', so they were ninja.

Our group seemed to be getting more and more excited as we got closer to the academy. Funny, in my old life people only seemed this excited when leaving school, not when they were joining.

I was left out of most of the socialising but that suited me fine at the moment. I didn't need the hassle until I had more information.

We approached the gates of the academy, it looked exactly like it had in the anime it was exactly spot on for what I expected. I could hear faint sounds coming from the training field on the other side but it was too far for even my eavesdropping skill to pick anything useful up.

"LINE UP!!" A large ninja suddenly appeared shouting. He had a few scars to the left side of his face but other than that he looked rather ordinary. I couldn't remember him from the anime, but I suppose he could have been one of the ninja you never see in the village.

His power level was the highest I had seen so far. Not that I expected to be able to spot a Jonin wandering around the village so easily.

Everyone rushed to get in a line as quickly as possible, I quickly moved to the end so I didn't get stuck in the middle with everyone trying to get as close to the chunin as possible. It was rather amusing to watch, all the kids pushing against each other trying to stay in the line.

"Ok. You will all take two tests. A physical test and a mental test to see if you can become Shinobi of the leaf. Follow me"

We all followed to a nearby classroom and started to take a seat. Each seat had a sheet of paper in front filled with questions.

"Ok as you might have guessed this is your mental test to see how much you know about ninja. You will start in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 go"

I quickly pressed yes and started to look at the questions.

Question 1: Who founded the Hidden Leaf Village?

Answer: Hashirama Senju & Madara Uchiha - More specifically the Senju and Uchiha clans who were at the time being led by Hashirama and Madara.

Question 2: Which Clan posses the Byakugan?

Answer: The Hyuga clan

Answer: Tsunade, Jiraiya, Orochimaru

Great at least I know I have aced the written exam. Looking around the room I can see lots of the others struggling with some of the questions. I wish that I could help them out a bit, but I have no way of doing so without getting caught.

"Time is up!"

Everyone started to pass up their sheets to the front so I did the same. Ishihara Dai seemed to quickly scan over each paper as he filed them on a tray in his desk. I kept an eye on which was mine and noticed a slight change as he looked at it.

I guess I made a small impression on him. Well, I bet not many orphans have been able to answer every question correctly.

"Ok, next on to the field" He lead us all a way to the training field at the back of the academy. I kept looking for familiar faces, but I was unable to see Naruto or any of the rookie 9. When we reached the field I finally saw someone I recognized.

I had no idea why he already seemed to like me and I don't care. If he is here that means that I can't be that far out from the rookie 9 era. Only question is am I behind or in front of them, either way I can work with, but if before I will have more time to get ready.

The next person to arrive told me just by being here.

Woah, ok this guy hates me. I don't remember ever meeting him in my memories though. As he noticed I was staring at him he gave me a quick glare and I turned away.

Ok so if the Uchiha are still active that means I must be at least, six or seven years older than Naruto and the rest. Plenty of time to get stronger for the battles ahead.

"Ok, next you will all do twenty five laps around the field and we will time each of you on your performance" Iruka started the second test, one that going by my stats I was unsure about passing.

The Kids all looked surprised, some go in to position much faster than others though.

"Ok, GO!" Iruka shouted and we all started to run. Some of the kids tried to go all out straight away but I kept a steady pace as I went round saving my energy. Now more than ever I was feeling my weak physical stat, I could feel my chest tighten and my muscles ache as I really pushed them for the first time to move past their limits.

Finally I reached the end, I wasn't the first to pass but I was somewhere in the middle. I could see a few of the early starters now trying to desperately finish as they blew all their stamina at the start. The few that had the Genin-low power level's were still the first to pass.

I groaned as I felt my muscles shake uncontrollably, I hate exercise but I will need to do more and more of it if I want to improve my power level.

After fifteen more minutes everyone had finished. Iruka finished writing down all his notes on a clipboard and passed it off to Kuba Uchiha.

"Ok if I call your name, you have passed and will be starting in the academy tomorrow!"

He started to call name after name until just half of us were left. He gave me a quick glare and finished up.

"That's it, the rest of you have failed"

"Wait what? why did I fail?" I quickly shouted back to him.

"I don't need to explain myself to you" His eyes turned red and 3 tome appeared in his eyes. I flinched as I saw them, they felt dark and angry. But I knew that if I backed down I would regret it.

"I answered all the written answers correctly and I finished in the middle of the physical exam, so why am I not getting in to the academy?" I stared back in to his eyes and I could feel a cool chill go down my spine.

Although I had never had this kind of feeling before it was obviously killing intent. 'This guy, he... he really wants to kill me.'

"I make the rules here. You have failed" He said each word slowly as if trying to get the point across, with each word the killing intent felt heavier and heavier.

I continued to stare at him, I wasn't sure why this guy hated me but it was obvious that he was blocking my entry in to the academy. Looking back on it last year, I was turned away, I didn't even get to take a test. But why? Ahh what does it matter now.

"Fine! I don't need this academy or any teacher. I will become a Ninja on my own and one day I will be more powerful than even the Hokage!" I shouted towards the Uchiha.
