Danzo's gaze remained piercing. "Your intentions matter little in the grand scheme. Your actions have consequences, just as mine do."

Sarutobi's fingers clenched, his resolve unbroken. "Danzo, our paths may differ, but my aim has always been to protect Konoha and its people. What is your purpose in exposing these truths?"

Danzo's smirk held a hint of mockery. "Ah, peace. Your idealism blinds you, Sarutobi. We both know that in times of war, drastic measures are required."
