Chapter:- 45

Naruto sat in the grass of the festival field, patiently awaiting the start of the event. Around him, other students chatted loudly, causing annoyance. He sighed and took a moment to close his eyes, entering a meditative lotus position with his hands joined.

"Doesn't he remind you of a Jedi?" Nearby, a group of students, including some girls from Class-B, observed Naruto as he meditated. "Although, because of his attitude and how he handles electricity, I consider him a Sith..." commented the orange-haired Kendo girl, Ibara, who found amusement in making pop culture references.

"Itsuka-san, not all of us are familiar with your American pop culture analogies," replied Yuli Kodai, a serious and expressionless teenager with straight dark hair and a curvy figure.

"It's not my fault they didn't have a childhood," Itsuka, the class president, retorted with a mischievous smile. She nudged Ibara, who had been watching Naruto intently. "So, Ibara-chan, what can you tell us about our dark friend? He doesn't seem as bad as everyone says." She said the last part with doubt, looking at her companion. Before Ibara could respond, a girl with brown, mushroom-shaped hair chimed in.

"He scares me! Didn't you see the things he lifted? Watching him in action today just convinces me that he's more dangerous than they say," the short, mushroom-haired girl spoke with fear. Her sentiments were shared by some of her classmates who still harbored distrust towards the shinobi. "Are you sure you want to be friends with someone like him?" she asked Ibara with concern, furrowing her brow.

"If you only knew Naruto-kun like I do, you wouldn't say that. I'm tired of your comments, so... excuse me for this," Ibara's hair quickly grew and wrapped around her classmates, much to their panic. In no time, she had dragged them over to where Naruto was meditating. "Hello, Naruto-kun. I hope you don't mind me interrupting you. I wanted to introduce you to some friends," she said as she released the other girls from their hair bonds.

Opening his eyes, Naruto found six girls from Class-B, if he remembered correctly, among them was Shiozashi. "Ibara, you don't need to drag your classmates into uncomfortable conversations..." Sighing heavily, he stood up to examine the teenagers more closely.

"But they really want to know you, and I've also told you not to eavesdrop on other people's conversations. Just because you have good hearing doesn't mean you should listen in," scolded the evangelical teenager. She crossed her arms and looked at the shinobi, who simply shrugged off what her only friend said. If she could even call her that. "..." Ibara glanced at her friends who were still standing motionless, but under her partner's gaze, they had to give in.

"Nice to meet you, Ibara-chan told us a lot about you, Uzumaki-san. I'm Itsuka Kendo, the president of Class-B. This is Reiko Yanagi..." She introduced herself first and then pointed to a white-haired teenager with a thin figure who had bags under her darkened eyes.

"Hello," was the simple greeting from the girl, her voice a ghostly whisper.

"This is Pony Tsunotori," the class president introduced a young girl with blonde hair and horns on her head, fitting her name.

"Hello, great Mr. Uzumaki. I hope we can be friends," Pony Tsunotori said, her nervousness evident as she spoke in her native language, which caused her classmates to sigh in response.

"Do not call me Mr. As Naruto is enough. I've never been one for formalities, and I hope we can be partners too," he said. More than one woman dropped her jaw at the pronunciation and English language that the shinobi used. Pony, who had been stunned, could only nod, excited to find someone who spoke her language. It seemed like she had forgotten her fear of him just seconds ago.

"I didn't know you spoke other languages," Ibara said, still impressed. She watched as her friend shrugged his shoulders.

"Before coming to Japan, I spent some time in America, to be more exact, the United States. I was forced to learn their language," he explained calmly. This only increased the interest of some; perhaps the boy had been to more countries and continents than they could imagine. It was a curious fact.

"Well, um, as I said, she's Setsuna Tokage now." This time, a tall girl with green hair and strangely longer arms than normal introduced herself. She smiled awkwardly and greeted the shinobi with a wave. "And lastly, she is Yui Kodai." Before the last introduction, a tense atmosphere formed between the two young people. Their icy gazes collided, and the others could only feel intimidated by the intense stare-down between their classmate and the shinobi, who returned the gaze with equal intensity.

"..." The beautiful black-haired girl never looked away and instead got closer to the shinobi. "Are those mustaches real?"

Naruto barely lost his composure when he heard the disbelief in the other teenager's voice, who seemed confused by the question from the most serious and cold student in the class. "Yes, they are," he answered calmly, only to see the girl come closer to him with a strange gleam in her eyes.

"Can I touch them? They look a lot like a kitten's. I'll be gentle, I swear." Ibara felt her jaw almost drop when she saw such audacity. Vulgar? It was difficult to say, but it certainly felt unfair to her. She had always been curious about the strange markings on her friend, but she never thought someone would approach him like this. "Allow me..." Yui took a step forward, raising her hands to reach out, but at the same time, the shinobi stepped back.

"No, nice to meet you," Naruto said and turned on his heels to walk away from the strange teenager who apparently didn't take the rejection well. Dismissing the incident, he continued walking, listening to the speakers turn on and Present Mic begin to speak.
