Kotoamatsukami

Months had gone by, as Mizuki all but vanished from Konoha.

The only place he was ever seen was at Tsunade's home, and then he always vanished from existence for any who cared.

But that wasn't what was happening, he was still in Konoha, cooped up inside a laboratory, he got access to the entire root research base after letting Tsunade know his interests.

And currently, Mizuki was working in his laboratory, which he had received from Tsunade.

He was holding an eye as he looked at it closely.

" How does this work..? "

An eye showing a pattern of four pointed shuriken, an eye red in colour.

" Kotoamatsukami "

It was Shisui's eye, the only Mangekyou Konoha had in store.

Picking up a nutrient solution, Mizuki without any care reached into his left eye.

As Mizuki dealt with his original eye and stored it within the nutrient solution, he activated his sage mode.

It's tremendous healing abilities healed the newly attached eye instantly, connecting the optic nerves back together.

" This is the Sharingan vision? I see. "

Feeling the Sharingan's dynamic vision, as he closed his right eye, Mizuki nodded.

" It's good, but the best part is this jutsu. Kotoamatsukami's working needs further testing, it's a good thing I can spam it. "

Danzo could use the jutsu multiple times due to his Hashirama arm, Mizuki has a complete sage body right off the bat, the eye fit him like a glove.

" How about you help me with this? "

Looking at the mice in a cage, Mizuki started casting Kotoamatsukami on one particularly unruly mice.

His eyes glowed red as the four pointed shuriken pattern spun, this particular eye didn't even need eye contact, looking at the general direction of the mice, Mizuki launched the jutsu.

It was an instant shift, the mouse looked at Mizuki as he reached forward and settled somewhere close to him.

This was something which was closed, air tight, but it was finally time to open it and see the results.

" It's done, cloning is complete. "

Mizuki looked towards the culture tank, as it slowly opened, and eyeballs came into view.

But that wasn't the best part.

Whispered Mizuki as he touched the eyes, each had a four pointed shuriken pattern on it.

Both left and right eye were available, as four individual Kotoamatsukami eyes were sitting at four corners.

" It was easy. "

Laughed Mizuki, as he looked into these eyes with his own Mangekyou Sharingan active.

" Same chakra signature as Shisui, it's a perfect clone, the way to clone Hashirama cells works on cloning the Sharingan as well, they have the same origin after all. "

But It wasn't as straight forward as Mizuki made sound, Danzo had the technology in his hands for years yet he couldn't do a thing about it.

That was because this wasn't as straightforward, only someone like Orochimaru and Mizuki could see what values to change and what to add for the technique to work on both Hashirama cells and the Sharingan.

" Regular cloning doesn't work on these cells, the one Orochimaru developed is required, but now that I know the logic behind the special cloning process, it was easy to recreate the eyes. "

With Shisui's genetic material available, it wasn't hard to get his eyes.

This was the entire principal behind edo tensei, recreating the whole body from any DNA found.

So using the left eye of Shisui as base, Mizuki not only recreated the left eye again, he also recreated the right eye, he could have rebuilt Shisui's entire body, but that was a waste of time.

" Now let's see, I don't have an Uchiha body, but I do have a way to get this to eternal Mangekyou, two sets of eyes, from the same person, even brother's aren't any closer than this. "

All Mizuki required was a base to initiate the process.

Reaching into his Ninja pouch, Mizuki removed a scroll hidden by him.

A scroll used to usually store biological material by medical ninja.

Putting the scroll down, Mizuki unsealed the thing, as a humanoid body was before him.

Looking at the body, Mizuki lightly said.

" You shall be the one. "

He whispered as he began the process of creating an eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

He was going to be quick, the sooner he made this work, the sooner he could go back to using his regular eyes again.

Until then, Mizuki would keep the Kotoamatsukami eye, what better way to understand a jutsu than to use it again and again.

And, who's to say, in the future Kotoamatsukami was something only Shisui can do?

Mizuki smiled as he finally completed the preparations for eternal Mangekyou.

As he looked at the body before him with new Mangekyou eyes in place, he found it still brimming with vitality.

This was a good fit.
