After recovering from the shock due to Shin's words, Kai gets back to his senses and asks again with a heavy tone!
" Hai, Hai... Don't get worked up! 'kay?"
" Answer me!!"
Shin tried to cool him down first, But Kai did not listen to him. Kai said in an aggressive voice.
"OK, listen first , my name is Shin. In the market you have tried to Steal my purse. Due to which, I strike your head reflexively. You list your consciousness. After that, I laid you on the ground. You get better then you start running her. I followed you and got up here. I also saw your sister is ill. If you want I can give you some medicine to treat her. If not then Sayonara!!"
He explained everything to Kai. And also gave him hope that he could also help him to save her sister, as he also has medicine. Kai got dumbfounded by hearing all these things? He was dumbfounded by what he said. But then again, what got his attention was that the little boy had medicine that might save her sister!!
"Hey Stop!!, Please give me the medicine! I will give anything you want just to save my sis.. ter..!!"
But, when Kai was leaving. He tried to stop him. And begged him to give him medicine and he'll give everything that he has to the little boy at this time. He was very desperate. The only thing that he wanted was just to save his sister.
"Okay deal!! here, save your sister."
Shin stopped and turned around with a carefree smile. But, for Kai it seems like divine light shone in his dark hopeless life! He stopped crying and led him to her sister.
He happily took the pouch from Shin and looked inside, it was completely empty.

To confirm it, he rubbed his eyes before threateningly glared at Shin!
"What? You can't possibly want to give her a miraculous medicine and she will be treated in a moment? Sigh... Nowadays, Kids are so immature... Before giving her medicine, let me check her condition."
Shin started checking her pulse, temperature, breathing etc. to check if she is suffering from only cough, cold and fever or if there are any other diseases affecting her health. All under the observation of a tensed Kai.
"Boy, don't worry she is not that ill. With proper medicine and enough rest, she could get back to full health in 3 days."
"Thank you! Thank you very much!!"
Kai couldn't believe his ears when he heard Shin's words. He had known before that this disease can only be treated with some precious medicine that's why he couldn't treat her sister. While this little boy said he could treat his sister easily! He firmly promised himself to repay this favor to him in full!
On the other hand, Shin is acting naturally as he knows that for common peoples of the ninja world there are no proper medicine's as shinobis' rarely fall ill due to cold or fever. Hence, most of the ninja and ordinary peoples are not aware of medicines for common diseases.

Some truths and PLOT B.S,
Only after the Second shinobi war did Tsunade Senju spread her knowledge in medical books and treatment of common diseases. Before people are mostly terrified of wounds and such. Hence, while people have proper surgical knowledge, they do not possess proper knowledge to prevent common diseases.
Most of the time, Cold and fever can be treated by simple rest while in some rare cases, it may develop into severe problems like Tuberculosis or Pneumonia.

Shin administered two pills containing vitamins and minerals that the girl is missing in her body to fight the diseases. Then, he let her rest and changed her wet cloth on her forehead to a new clean one.
After waiting for 30 minutes he fed her medicines to fight fever and cold while rubbing her arm's to keep them warm. While Kai watched them from the side silently without saying a single word. Occasionally, he provides things that Shin asked from him.
Shin told Kai to take care of her sister whose name is Aina Takama. Then, he started taking out food from his ninja scrolls and started cooking food for him and Kai, Who have told him everything he asked like how kai's parents died from disease a month ago and till then they are wandering after being kicked out from their home by money-lenders, and he made some porridge for Aina as she does not have any energy to bite her food and digest it. She is still half-conscious and weak.
After making food he and Kai have dinner together. Even then, Shin had to feed Aina her porridge as Kai almost fed her Hot porridge and burned her small mouth.
He also took out a big futon from his storage scroll and laid Aina in the middle. While, Shin and Kai lay on her either side to keep her warm.

Both lay peacefully and fell asleep in the cold night of land of rain. Completely unknown of the upcoming shit-storm they have to face in the future! Even if they do they might not care as for them they unconsciously feel each-other trust more than they do.
That they are the first friends in this cold world they made and will always be!
