Behind The Tsuchikage Nomination *

Finally Arano Haishori has succeeded in becoming Tsuchikage; now, instead of waking up in his usual bed, he awakens at his new office; due to paperwork, he spent the entire night in it.

After waking up he slowly got up from his chair , moved to the large windows and glance at the scenery.

Now his work as the Tsuchikage begin, despite the fact that the political situation inside the village is not very favorable to him, he and his allies managed to make him Tsuchikage, which was not an easy task.

-Someone knock on the door of the Tsuchikage's office.

"Enter"-Arano said.

A man enter the office.

It's Onoki, a member of the council and more often known as an adviser.

Nobody knows how Onoki and Arano became ally. It is said that when Arano became a Jonin at the age of 14, a middle age man recognized his potential and began speaking to him.

The man claimed that he was once a candidate for the function of Tsuchikage, but the first Tsuchikage did not want to lose his position and instead promoted Onoki to the position of adviser.

After that several years passed and Onoki saw how the first Tsuchikage wanted to keep his position as the Tsuchikage, he didn't really like this but he had cope with it , but as the time passed the first Tsuchikage was getting older and older , and his decisions were getting hazardous without any thinking for the future.

After a few decades , Onoki saw a boy who had the potential to become the second Tsuchikage. After this boy became a Jonin, he decided it was finally time to talk to him.

On a certain day after training ,Arano was returning home from the training grounds that were owned by his clan, when he was suddenly stopped by an middle age man , the man was suspicious giving directly his name and saying that he is an advisor , he directly invited Arano to have a small talk. 

-After this event

The young Arano and Onoki started talking, at first just about a few trivial things, but as time went on their topic became more serious.

They talked about the situation of the village, they talked about the first great ninja war and the high probability of a second one, after a few hours of talking with Arano, Onoki was surprised by Arano intelligence. Finally he has found someone who could be a potentials candidate for the position of Tsuchikage.

At some point he informed Arano that he could potentially become the next Tsuchikage . Arano who was just 16 years old got excited , if he could become the next leader of the village many of his dream could be accomplish. Although Onoki warned him that it will not be easy, and some sacrifice will be needed to achieve such a position.

That's how they began their plan of "political victory" . Both of them knew that getting the support of one major clan would be crucial; fortunate for them, Arano was from the Haishori Clan, which still wielded great power despite being mostly wiped out.

However, getting backing from two or three minor clans can be more challenging as most of them usually stay neutral rather than taking sides. While smaller clans exist within Iwagakure too; these had little political power and thus were not significant players in determining who become the next Tsuchikage.

Ultimately, it come down to gaining the Daimyo's support, since his backing could tilt the balance greatly in their favor. But to not make it easy there is another issue: three other major clans were engaged for the candidacy, which meant that becoming the next Tsuchikage would not be easy!

The Shōrihana Clan clearly provide significant opposition, the Kentori Clan is hesitant because of a shortage of powerful shinobi among their members. Any candidate need to have at least high-Jonin strength if they want to be considered as a potential candidate. 

Because Nakabe Dorohai is the strongest member of the Dorohai clan, it is natural that he will be proposed as the second Tsuchikage. 

Kuzuki Shōrihana will be the the Shōrihana clan candidate , nothing strange he is the son of the patriarche and is quite strong.

Another information , all major clans will surely try to convince minor clans to support them , if they manage they will gain more political power, and in return if they candidate become the Tsuchikage, the minor clan will be treated better than other clans.

To secure success, Onoki and I determined that it is crucial that we obtain the backing of the daimyo ( daimyo of the Land of Earth).

As for how to have he's support we made a small plan. Bribing his advisors so they can make the Daimyo believe that I am the best choice for the position of Tsuchikage. With this we will have the support of 1 Major Clan 3 Minor Clan and the Daimyo , it should be enough to win the election.

Thanks to Onoki being the patriarch of the Kamizuru clan, we can guarantee that at least one minor clan will support me.

We've also established friendship with many significant individuals inside the village thanks to Onoki. Oh and about the 2 other minor clan that will support us , we can say that Onoki gave them a nice amount of money.

But that's not all; during my time at the Ninja Academy, I gained numerous acquaintances, the most powerful of them is Han the Jinchuriki of the Five-Tails. Some of my friends are now Jonin or in the Anbu, or at the very least at Chunin rank. As a result , I have some backing from regular shinobi , this can also help.

But first the actual Tsuchikage must pass away before we can even began our plan. Him dying will be difficult ,the elderly guy typically stays at his office all day and is in good health.

But luckily for us the second great ninja war will probably start soon, and lesser nations like Hidden Rain Village and Hidden Grass Village will be the scene of this conflict. During this war we will enact our plan to get rid of the Tsuchikage.

-Years have passed, and the Second Great Ninja War has begun.

Arano is now battling in the Land of Rain , so Onoki had to carry out the plan.

As the year passed and all nation were in the midst of the Second Great Ninja War, every elemental nations suffered huge casualties among shinobi, as lesser nations such as the Land of Rain were practically decimated by the conflict.

The war drained all nation resources and manpower, starvation spread, and children were taken to fight.

"With this, the plan can finally start"

After spending some time thinking about all possible scenarios , Onoki decided that it was time to put the plan into action. The plan was divided into three phase.

1-Creating a fake letter stating that Hanzo, the head of the Hidden Rain villages wants to negotiate a potential surrender, in the letter will be include the place and date of the meeting.

2-Have some trustworthy people disguised as Amegakure Ninja carry the letter to the Tsuchikage.

3-Use Arano's most trusted individuals to fabricate paperwork claiming that the Tsuchikage will have a secret meeting with Hanzo, the document will be place on a dead Iwagakure shinobi, the body will be dispose near Konoha Ninja encampment.

Iwagakure has suffered a large number of casualties and is running out of resources to make weapons such as kunai, shuriken, blades, and explosive tags. The Tsuchikage will be forced to attend the meeting due to the grave situation of Iwagakure.

Our plan is to allow the Tsuchikage to be ambushed by Konoha Ninja as he leaves the border of the Land of Earth. Because this is a secret meeting, the Tsuchikage will only have one squad of Anbu protecting him.

-A week has passed

Unfortunately for us, the Anbu squad sacrificed themselves to allow the Tsuchikage to escape, but the scenario is still quite excellent because the Tsuchikage is now seriously injured.

It is only a matter of time before the Tsuchikage die, we will utilize this time to prepare for the upcoming election.

-Three days later, when the news of the Tsuchikage's death was announced, a massive burial was held in the the village.

And as time pass it was finally time for the Tsuchikage election.

Each contender has their own base of support. Arano Haishori was supported by one major clan, three minor clans, the daimyo, and one of the four advisors

Kuzuki Shrihana had the backing of one major clan, three minor clans, and one of the four advisors.

Nakabe Dorohai had the backing of one major clan, two minor clans, and two of the four advisers.

The Haishri clan chose to stay neutral, as did Harise Ramoto, one of the four advisors.

It took one month , but the new Tsuchikage was finally chosen, it was Arano Haishori, since he had the support of the daimyo and had more backing than Kuzuki Shrihana it was obvious that he would win the election.

His performance during Second Great Ninja War also help him win the election. During the conflict, Arano managed to defeat ten squads of Jonin from Konoha, which greatly aided Iwagakure in the war effort.

Arano has also completed various difficult missions, such as recon in enemy territory or sabotage the enemy resource during the conflict.
