Sigh~I could not help but sigh at the fact that I was no longer me. I had really transmigrated.
I looked in the mirror in front of me, a rather cute boy around four years old with wavy silver hair and red eyes stared back.
[See here]
I was wearing a dark blue yukata with the Senju symbol in the back.
"Senju Gintoki"
I said my new name. Senju Gintoki the heir of the Senju clan and also the only true member besides Tsunade.
Tsunade had left the village after the [Second Great Shinobi War] and by default I had become the only remaining heir.
I was born in the same war; my parents were the direct descendant of Tobirama Senju...I was his grandson. Although, in the original the second hokage did not have a child from what I remember. It seems there were changes...
I was worried about all the changes in this familiar yet very real world.
My father perished while fighting while my mother did not survive giving me birth.
Well, I don't really care about them since I never knew them.
The original Gintoki was a really sickly child. His weakness had caused him to go into something like coma. No one thought he would survive, and he did not. I had...God knows how took over his body.
'Haha!'
I was happy and scared. Happy that I was living again and, in a world, of powers where I could fulfill my childish dreams of breathing fire and walking on water.
But there were dangers...
There was still Two Great Wars left...three village destructions. I was a Senju...they had been dwindling in numbers and I do not know what Orochimaru or Danzo could do.
Weak...I was weak, but I am not planning to stay weak.
I had all the resources, I needed. I was the heir of one of Konoha's greatest clan.
I stepped out of my room; the Senju manor was huge. I walked the wooden floors making my way towards Mito's house. She had a large compound and equally huge house.
All the building here were traditional Japanese homes. There was even a small river running through the Senju manor which came from the mountains owned by us.
I looked at the gate and entered it.
'Mito's residence'
As soon as I entered the grounds, I could feel myself being observed. It was Mito's seal at work here. She was the best Fuinjutsu master in the village or possibly the entire shinobi villages.
I faintly felt the presence of more people. I touched the ground and focused on the specific part. I could feel the chakra in my body spreading outside. It was a thin layer...a specific ability of sensors like me use to sense chakras.
I felt the chakra signature, three people. I knew who they were. They too knew I was sensing them.
My chakra scattered as I got up and walked towards the large house more to its backyard.
I saw an old woman with light shade of red sitting on the wooden floor. Her eyes looking over two figures sparring.
A boy around sixteen with blond hair and blue eyes fighting against a girl of around same his age with red hair and fiery eyes. Minato and Kushina.
"Well, hello there"
"How are you doing Gin?"
My grandmother-Mito Uzumaki said her eyes still on the two sparring figures.
"You just saw me in the morning grandma."
I deadpanned.
She turned back and looked at me in the eyes.
"A state of person can change in seconds, Gintoki."
There she goes with her wisdom.
"Sure ma"
Minato and Kushina had stopped sparring and came towards.
"Hey! What's up brat?"
Kushina said a grin on her face as she waved at me.
"I am fine tomato."
I replied and continued, "Hello big bro."
Minato gave a wave at me and before he could say anything. He had to protect me from a punch on my head.
Kushina was going to kill me...
"What did you say, you brat?"
Her eyes had a comical glow as her hair started rising up.
"TO-MA-TO"
I hid behind Mito, as I uttered those words. Minato had a grim face trying to hold Kushina while Mito had a small smile.
"You fisheye"
Kushina retaliated and broke free from Minato's hold. She swinged her fist at me, straight to my face. Her fist was few centimeters away from me before it stopped, and she flicked her index finger at my forehead.
"Ack!"
I cried out, I was pushed back a little. If it was any other kid, they would have been definitely knocked out but being Senju helped.
Little bursts of tear formed in my eyes.
"Y-Yo-you demon!"
"Kukuku"
Even her laugh was like a demon.
"What can you do about it?"
...What did she say?
"Big bro!"
I called out to Minato.
"...Yes?"
"Lend me your kunai!"
He had an amused smile in his face and looked at Mito. She shook her head.
"Sorry Gin"
"Tch"
I looked at Kushina and mumbled.
"Lucky day"
"...What?"
"You are such a beautiful sister."
"I know right!"
She had a grin on once again.
Minato had a amused smile.
"Kushina. Gin. I have something to say."
Mito looked at the distant sky.
"It's time."
All three of us knew what was this about.
Time for Mito to leave.
No body said a thing.
Mito continued...
She looked at Minato first "Minato you have already learned the Fuinjutsu to a good degree. With Jiraya's help you will be able to master it."
She looked at me a warm smile spread in her face.
"Your health is good now, My precious child. I hope you will be a splendid man when you grow old."
She turned her eyes towards Kushina.
She spoke no words. Her eyes spoke a thousand words and I could see the little tears in Kushina's eyes.
The child within me ached. It had not even been a week since I had transmigrated yet the memories and the small bond we formed after just a few days...
I had to turn my heart cold but even then, seeing Kushina holding her tears...
Hold it! Gintoki!
Minato looked at me, his face too was saddened. He was a kind man.
He crouched a little and patted my head.
"Sometimes it's okay Gin."
I understood his words and few tears escaped from my eyes.
"When?"
Kushina asked, her voice shaky.
"Tomorrow. Kushina, Come I will teach you few things."
Kushina looked at Minato.
"Take care of this brat for a while, will ya?"
"Sure"
They both made their way towards Mito's room.
We both sat on the wooden floor looking at the sky and the clouds.
"What is your dream, Gin?"
It was the first time we had a conversation like this.
Man to man.
"I don't have one. Maybe one day when I grow up..."
"Hmmm"
"What's yours?"
I took my eyes of the sky and looked at him. He was focused on the sky.
"I also don't have one..."
What? A genius like him does not know what to do with his life...?
I listened to him.
"Some want to see me as a hokage they say I have the potential...A symbol for civilians but I still do not think I have what it takes to be one."
"I do not know..."
I stayed silent.
"I think you will be a great hokage"
"I am still weak."
"I heard you are one of the strongest jonin in the village at just seventeen."
"I know you will be better."
"Hah! As if."
He looked serious as he said, "I could not hold a conversation like this when I was just four."
Well, he had a point but how can I tell him that I was just three years older than him mentally counting memories of this body...
"So, want to go eat something?"
Minato asked.
"Barbecue?"
"Sure."
He carried me and I felt the world be a blur.

A/N: It is a story with character development. Do not expect perfect and cold Mc, he was a teenage before his transmigration, he will slowly but surely develop into someone special.
It won't just be a follow cannon type fic, If Mc has the power to make changes, then he will definitely do it.
