The Aftermath

Naruto burst through the door to the Hokage's office, Jiraiya was sitting when he looked up at Naruto, "Oh hey Naruto your team-" Jiraiya stopped what he was saying after he saw the nervous look on Naruto's face. "What's wrong? Wait, where's Sasuke?" "This is bad." Jiraiya and Tsunade, who were also in the office, braced himself for the worst. "There is another Uchiha out there other than Sasuke and Itachi." "Do you have any idea who it is?" Naruto nodded his head, "When I went to where Sasuke was, someone else came, a member of the Akatsuki. He said his name was Madara Uchiha."

Jiraiya and Tsunade froze, first the Rinnegan and now Madara Uchiha, what the hell was happening with the Akatsuki! "What happened?" Jiraiya asked as calmly as he could. If it was really true that Madara was still alive, he didn't think even he could do much about it. It might even require the combined power of the 5 Kage!

"He put me in a genjutsu, and when I woke up Sasuke was gone." Jiraiya nodded his head, "Tsunade, call the elders for a meeting and send Sasuke's ANBU team out to search for him. Naruto come with me." Tsunade and Naruto both nodded.

Only a few minutes later Jiraiya, the elders, Danzo, Tsunade, and Naruto were in a room. The atmosphere was tense, nobody had said a word. Jiraiya sighed, "If what Naruto says is true and Madara is back, we are in serious trouble."

Danzo nodded, "We will be his first targets now that we know he's alive. He couldn't finish us off back with Hashirama, but now it is different. We are not as strong as we used to be." the other elders nodded in agreement. Homura Mitokado, one of the elders, spoke up. "Are we going to call a Kage summit?"

Jiraiya shook his head no, "Although it would be good to share the information we have now, the Akatsuki are causing problems. Because all the tailed beasts are being stolen, war is on the horizon. Say one wrong thing and we could start the 4th great shinobi war."

Danzo nodded his head in agreement, "If we were to face every village, we would not last long. Even if we are the strongest village, we cannot hold all of them back at once." Even if Danzo was confident in the village's strength, he was not delusional.

Naruto finally spoke, "if it's true that people like Madara are alive, and that the Rinnegan is in the Akatsuki's hands, I need to get stronger. Right now I could barely beat Kisame, although he is a higher ranking member of the Akatsuki, we know he is not the strongest. And the biggest problem is, Madara Uchiha."

Jiraiya nodded, "I thought sage mode would be strong enough to keep the Akatsuki away, but it seems like I was wrong. I can send you back to Mount Myoboku." Naruto nodded, he already knew what he would learn.

-Akatsuki hideout-

In a dark cave, there were four people standing around. One had a body that was split between black a white. Another was a girl with nice blue hair, the other wore an orange mask hiding his face. And last but not least was the leader of the Akatsuki, Pain.

"The nine tails is getting stronger, he has killed Kisame. We should deal with him before he gets any more powerful." said the leader Pain. Pain gave off a very intimidating aura but it was nothing to the members of the Akatsuki.

The one in the orange mask then spoke, "Sasuke Uchiha will soon wake up, if he joins us then we will go after the eight tails, if not then I will go after him myself." Pain nodded and ended the meeting, all of the holograms surrounding the orange masked man disappeared, "Well I guess it's time to speak to Sasuke."

The man in the orange mask walked over to Sasuke, who had just woken up. "I have treated your wounds." Sasuke was wrapped up in bandages as he looked around to see who said those words. "You won, Itachi is dead. But you have sustained quite a bit of damage as well. Try not to force yourself."

The masked man walked out of the shadows, "Do not be alarmed, don't worry about Itachi's death, we are not enemies. I brought you here in order to tell you something. You don't look interested at all."

Sasuke was still too dazed to truly understand what was happening, he didn't even know where he was. "Maybe if I put it in another way, you will want to listen? Your brother, Itachi. You may think you know him, but you are sorely mistaken."

This made Sasuke a little more interested and woke him up a bit. "Well let's start with introductions. Like you, I am a survivor of the Uchiha clan, and the one who knows the truth about Itachi Uchiha."

The masked man took off his mask a little. When Sasuke saw his face, his eyes changed, it was Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan! 'It can't be!' the black flames surrounded and burned the masked man as he screamed. The screaming stopped and the masked man walked out completely fine!

"The Amaterasu, which Itachi implanted inside you. How like Itachi, he even surprises you after he's dead." Sasuke's eyes went wide, he survived the Amaterasu! "How?!" the masked man laughed, 'Luckily Itachi didn't know all my secrets.'

"It seems, to try and save you, Itachi planted Amaterasu to activate at the sight of me." "What do you mean! Why would Itachi do something like that?!" "Don't you get it? 'In order to protect you'"

Sasuke got angry and confused, "Did you say protect?! You've got to be kidding!" the masked man sighed, "I will say it again. You think you know about your brother, but you know nothing." Sasuke got even angrier, "If you keep speaking such nonsense, I'll kill you!" The masked man almost had enough, "I guess it's not that easy to accept. Well, calm down, for I Madara Uchiha will tell you the truth about Itachi!"

I didn't know if I wanted to call the Kage summit yet or not, because they both have things that will make the story better but I decided not to. If you were in Jiraiya's position what would you do?
