The 8 and 9 tails!
In training ground 3 Naruto, Lee, and Neji were sparring. Naruto was bored so when Lee offered to spar he accepted, Neji joined later. Both Neji and Lee were teaming up to try and beat Naruto. Both of them were using moves that would easily overpower any shinobi under joinin rank, but Naruto was easily blocking and countering.
Naruto knew Jiraiya was speaking with the toads and making arrangements to go to Mount Myoboku. Dodge. Dodge. Jump. dodge. Feint left, strike on the right side. Duck. kick. Jump back from follow-up. Body-flicker behind Lee, avoid a reflexive punch. Punch. Parry blow. Redirect punch. Kick at the knee. Jump to avoid a low kick. Replacement technique.
Naruto was moving around the training grounds with body flickers and substitutions. Naruto was easily blocking and countering their attacks until they used a combo attack. Neji attacked with pinpoint accuracy at Naruto's chakra points. While Naruto was dealing with Neji, Lee came from behind and used a kick to the knee to knock him off balance.
Because this sparring match was purely taijutsu Naruto couldn't create any clones to stabilize him, this made Naruto fall to the ground losing the match. Both Neji and Lee were two of the best taijutsu users in all of the leaf, ever since the chunin exams Neji had been practicing hard to become the best of his class, but he wasn't there yet and he wouldn't quit training.
Naruto was going to ask for a rematch before an ANBU member appeared behind him, "Naruto Uzumaki, lord Hokage asks to see you." Naruto nodded and turned towards Lee and Neji, "When I get back we can have a rematch." Neji and Lee nodded, "How youthful!" shouted Lee.
Naruto walked into Jiraiya's office and saw that the Hokage was clearly stressed, "What's wrong?" Naruto knew that they hadn't found Sasuke which probably was making him stressed, but the Hokage looked even more stressed than normal.
Jiraiya looked up and met Naruto's eyes, "Well this whole Madara and Akatsuki thing is really making this hard. I would like to warn the other villages but the villages are already angry with each other, I fear if I told them anything about them now they would assume either we are with the Akatsuki or that we withheld information from them." Jiraiya shook his head, "And to make it worse, the ANBU team we sent out to retrieve Sasuke was found dead earlier today."
Naruto was not surprised, he expected this when he was told the ANBU went after Madara. "Was it Madara Uchiha?" Jiraiya sighed, "We don't know, although that would make the most sense to me. This really is taking a toll on me, I haven't gotten much sleep these past days. Anyways, the toads will reverse summon you to Mount Myoboku soon, pack your things."
Naruto nodded and left to pack the basics, he brought mostly food and water with a few changes of clothes. Naruto knew the only way he could stand up to Madara would be with the nine tails, but as of now none of them fully trusted each other, so either that would have to change, or Naruto would beat the power out of him. Either way, Naruto had to get stronger!
In the rain village, the sky was dark and the raindrops were coming down fast. Three people were at the top of the tower in the middle of the village. One of these people was the owner of the Rinnegan, his name was Pain. Pain was looking out the window in front of Zetsu. "Where is Madara?" he asked, he expected to meet him but Madara was not there.
"He is with Sasuke Uchiha still, why do you need him?" answered Zetsu who was one of the last 4 Akatsuki members alive. Pain's face looked unchanged as he answered, "The nine tails has gotten strong, I will be retrieving him soon. I would like Madara to capture the eight tails, I think it's time we completed our plan."
Before Zetsu could respond a portal-type thing opened up in the middle of the darkroom. Out came a man with an orange mask-wearing the Akatsuki cloak. "I have gotten Sasuke Uchiha on our side, we will go and capture the eight tails."
Pain nodded, "This will be a good way to test Sasuke Uchiha, but I doubt he will be strong enough." Madara nodded, "I will intervene if needed, we will capture the nine tails without difficulty."
Pain nodded and looked towards Konan. Konan was a beautiful lady with purple hair, she used a special paper-type ninjutsu. "Konan, let's go." the six paths of Pain leaped down from the building and headed towards Konoha.
Madara watched them leave and then teleported to Sasuke. Madara looked down at Sasuke who looked up to see him. "We are heading out, I need to see your strength. Although I saw your fight with Itachi, he was holding back and half-dead, so I would like to see your power in a better scenario" Sasuke stood up and followed behind Madara.
Madara walked as Sasuke followed, 'This will give me the opportunity to alert the Raikage to Sasuke's presence, everything is going as planned.' Sasuke interrupted Madras thinking, "Where are we headed?"
"The hidden cloud, we are capturing the 8 tails Jinchuriki." Sasuke nodded in understanding, "Who is the 8 tails Jinchuriki?" Madara continued walking until he made it out of the hideout, "His name is Killer bee. He is the brother of the Raikage."
"Can I beat him?" Madara shook his head, "Probably not, definitely not if the Raikage comes. But that's why I'm coming, even if the Raikage comes there will be no issue." Sasuke nodded as they left for the hidden cloud village, Sasuke knew that this would probably be his toughest battle yet!
