Shino vs Dosu
Looking down on the match between Shino and Dosu was the Hokage. "Man how much weaker have they gotten," said Tobirama, although he has been in the leaf for a while he had only really seen Hiruzen as the strong one and he was getting old. But now that he has seen one of the 'legendary sannin' he was quite disappointed.
"Who cares, two villages can now hold a joint chunin exam! This is history in the making!" Hashirama was extremely happy that both the Sand and the Leaf both held a combined chunin exam, this meant things were getting better in the shinobi world.
"Yes, I agree with lord 1st. It is great progress, I had tried to complete this during my time as Hokage but failed. It's good to see lord 3rd did something right." Minato was by no means happy with what Hiruzen had done but it was good to see him trying.
Back to the battle, Shino was sending swarms of bugs at Dosu but they were all blown away. Shino kept jumping back trying to keep his distance, he didn't want to be hit with the sound. Shino's main plan was to block all the sound holes and then finish it.
For this battle he had chosen poison beetles, they had stunning poison. Dosu realized what he was trying to do, "You can't block up all my holes with your bugs." He then released a ton of sound shoving out any of the bugs that were lodged in.
"Not good!" Dosu was soon in front of Shino, Shino created a wall of bugs but the sound still crashed into him sending him flying. Shino continued to fire insects at a fast rate hoping for something to happen.
Shino then surrounded Dosu in insects hoping to trap him or something, but Dosu emitted enough sound to easily break out. Shino realized he just didn't have enough offensive power to beat Dosu, but he would still try.
Shino sent some bugs underground for a surprise attack then ran at Dosu, knowing his bugs couldn't beat him he would try to beat him at close range combat. Shino got some chakra-eating bugs on his arms ready to enter Dosu at any time.
"Finally getting close, good." Shino readied himself, "I will defeat you and not let anyone down." Shino pulled out his kunai and attacked Dosu, as soon as he got close a huge amount of sound exploded in his face, rupturing his eardrums.
He was stunned not being able to hear anything, seeing that Dosu took advantage he3 grabbed Shino and punched him in the gut with full force over and over again. The force made Shino puke but he didn't stop, he sent a punch at Dosu which landed letting Shino break out.
In this short confrontation, Shino knew he was dumb for getting close and would need to stay back. Soon enough the bugs from underground came up and attacked Dosu, the bugs wrapped themselves around Dosu and almost brought him down until Dosu released even more sound than before!
The crowd was going wild for this intense battle, even if the battle was actually one-sided to a normal person it looked to be decently even. Most of the crowd was rooting for Dosu, mainly because Shino looked, acted, and used weird jutsu.
Shino knew his chakra wouldn't last a whole lot longer so he would have to finish this battle quickly. Dosu ran at Shino throwing multiple punches and kicks which mostly landed on Shino who was trying to come up with a plan.
Shino started to surround the area himself and Dosu was in, once surrounded he started closing the circle of insects inward eating anything in its path. The only thing the bugs wouldn't eat was Shino himself as that's where they got their food or chakra from.
Dosu kept killing the insects but more and more were coming and he couldn't keep up. Dosu decided to risk one of his arms to break out of the attack, he put his sound to the max level it could go then released it all at once.
The sound built up instantly created a sonic boom sending everything in the area flying. A huge dust cloud came up and nobody could see through it. Once the dust cleared you could see Dosu with an extremely bloody arm and Shino on the ground covered in blood.
Shino didn't move for a good 20 seconds so the match was called, "Due to Shino not being able to fight Dosu from the Sound village is the winner!" the crowd went wild, the last attack was so intense that if it hadn't been for the barrier set up around the seats they would have been seriously injured.
The medics soon reached the field and took both Dosu and Shino to the hospital. "Because Sasuke Uchiha is not here his match will again be moved." the crowd was now mad again, "Come on, we want to see the Uchiha!" "Yeah what the hell is wrong with this village!" shouted people up in the stands.
"Well whatever, let's start the next match. The next match will be between Shikamaru Nara and Sakura Haruno." Sakura was eager to have her match but Shikamaru did not feel the same way. "Oh come on, what are you doing moving up matches like this? Why does it have to be my stupid match that gets moved up? What a drag."
Shikamaru then began to think, 'well if it's like this maybe I can withdraw!' before he could say anything Rock Lee came up behind him, "Yes you got this Shikamaru! Show them your youthfulness! Show them even with your laziness you too can become a great ninja!"
He said as he pushed him down onto the field. "Now that both Shikamaru Nara and Sakura Haruno are here let's begin that match." Shikamaru sighed, "Not only do I have to fight, but I have to fight a girl. What a drag." The battle would soon begin, who will win, will it be the lazy Shikamaru or the not as useless Sakura! Nobody knows!
