Final Round Start!

In Konoha the gates opened, the people were all trying to get a look at who was coming in. carts pulled by horses surrounded by nicely dressed but dangerous ninja came in through the gates. It was the Kazekage.

"Wow is that the Kazekage?" "Amazing look at those carts, half of the one probably cost more than my entire life savings!" comments like this filled the air in Konoha. "So you've finally made it, Kazekage!" said Hiruzen in a polite voice which the Kazekage only nodded to.

Somewhere decently far from Konoha Naruto and Jiraiya were rushing through the trees. "God damn it, you are one of the Sannin I thought you would be somewhat responsible!" shouted Naruto at Jiraiya.

"Sorry, my research went a little late." "research my ass, all you do is peep on underage women!" Jiraiya got angry, "They are not ALL underage!" he shouted instantly regretting it. Naruto looked at him shocked he was only joking, did he really look at underage women!

"Whatever! I don't have time for this!" Naruto then summoned Gamabushi, "Hey Gamabushi I need you to get to Konoha as fast as possible then head to the giant area, if you get there before me then reverse summon me there." "very well honorable Naruto," said Gamabushi as he sped up.

Naruto knew that Gamabushi was faster than him if he had to run through trees plus not knowing exactly where he was in the first place. He expected something like this from Kakashi, not one of the Sannin!

"If I am late to this I will kill you!" shouted Naruto, being around Jiraiya for a month mellowed him out a little. "Hey, it's not like I can be late either, if I am not there by the time the exams start I'm going to be in deep trouble!"

Now at Konoha the Hokage and Kazekage were looking over the arena looking at the genin, "it is a good thing it was held here in Konoha I don't know if your body could have handled the trip." The Hokage laughed, "I still have plenty of life in me."

"It seems we are missing two." said the Kazekage, "Yes It does," responded Hiruzen. They were about to announce the start of the exams but an orange tad dressed in armor appeared in the stadium.

Before anyone could say anything the toad took out a scroll and performed hand seals, after placing down his hand Naruto and Jiraiya appeared. "I made it!" shouted Naruto excitedly, Jiraiya was also very excited but did his best not to show it in front of the Hokage.

After Naruto appeared all the other genin looked at him while Naruto looked for Sasuke, "Damn him I rush to get here and that idiots not even here yet, guess I can't expect much from Kakashi timewise." Jiraiya then body flickered behind the Hokage.

Jiraiya then leaned in a little, "I looked around and have heard nothing about Sasuke or Orochimaru, I think we are safe." Hiruzen nodded, he knew how good Jiraiya was at getting intelligence. Hiruzen then got up to announce the beginning of the final rounds.

"Now I think it's time for the final battles to begin. Welcome, all, and our deepest thanks for coming here to the village hidden in the leaves for this year's chunin selection. We have come to the final competition between these candidates who made it through the preliminaries. We ask that no one leaves until all the matches have been completed. Now, everyone enjoy!"

The crowd went wild for the matches to begin, Gekkou Hayate then gave a few words to the competitors. "Don't let the crowd get to you, for them this is all a show. For you, this can change your entire lives just make sure you don't lose because you want to put on a show."

Hayate then turned around to face the crowd, "Hello my name is Gekkou Hayate I will be the proctor of this final round. It is my pleasure to announce the beginning of the final round of the chunin exams!"

"I thought this wasn't a show?" said Shikamaru, "It's my job to make it a show, it's your job to win and become chunin. So for me, this is a show." Gekkou Hayate responded. Hayate then remembered what he had to say.

"Because contestant Sasuke Uchiha is not here for the first match we will have to postpone his match until he shows up, if he does not show up before the end of the exams then it will be an automatic forfeit." the crowd was a little angry at this, that fight was supposed to be the biggest one!

"That means the second battle will be moved up so the first match will be between Dosu and Shino!" everyone else other than Shino and Dosu went away to wait for their battles. "Now remember the rules, no killing and if things get too out of hand someone will have to step in and end the fight, understand?"

Both Shino and Dosu nodded their heads in understanding, Shino had never expected to make it this far and wanted to go all out. Dosu on the other hand knew he was strong enough to get this far and was ready to beat his opponent as fast as possible.

"Ok good, in 3,2,1, let the battle begin!" the crowd screamed at the top of their lungs ready for the battle to get underway. Who will win will it be Shino and his bugs or Dosu and his sound, nobody knew!

Before anyone tells me that Gekkou Hayate and Dosu should be dead, I know. I kept them alive because I like Dosu and Gekkou Hayate so I didn't kill them, that is all. Also, I know it is shorter than a normal chapter and the reason is I wanted to save the battle.

Now for a vs battle what about Kazekage Gaara vs Jiraiya, remember it takes Jiraiya at least 10-15 minutes to enter sage mode plus all the advantages Gaara has. Who wins and why?
