72 Chapter 72

Naruto and Team 12 were making good time and were expected to complete the mission on time, but Naruto had an idea to see if his students were really on guard like he asked. Naruto made three clones undetected by his genin and spread them out into the surrounding area, the clones transformed into a regular-looking bandit. He waited a little before attacking, he made his clones leave subtle clues that they were there to see if the genin noticed it but they didn't. After waiting a good 20 minutes Naruto signaled for his clones to move in to attack.

Naruto's clones popped out of the ground slow enough to give them time to react. Konohamaru was surprised at first but soon regained his senses and moved in to attack. Hanabi jumped back to attack from a distance like she had been trained by Naruto. Shuzaku was the smartest and moved close to the client and created a shadow around them so they couldn't get close, if the others were there they could also block ranged attacks. Naruto stayed back to see what would happen, "Not bad Shuzaku."

With how much the clones were holding back the genin defeated them in a tough battle, after the battle was done and Naruto came down, the genin found out it was Naruto's clone. The genin were all breathing heavily, even with the clones holding back it was a tough battle for them, they only knew a few jutsu each so it was understandable. "Good job, but always protect the client first, try to mix both attack and protection into it so you can protect the client and stop the enemies.

Naruto and the rest continued all the way to the end of the mission, it was pretty easy other than Naruto's clones, luckily there were no more magic tricks. After completing the mission they headed back to the village to report, the village was not very far away and they made it back very quickly.

After reaching the village Naruto, Konohamaru, Shuzaku, and Hanabi all went to report the mission back to Jiraiya. They reported the mission to Jiraiya and the genin left, 'Naruto stays behind I need to ask you something." "alright, what?" "After being with them for a while, who is the strongest right now and who has the most potential?" Naruto thought a little, "I would say right now Shuzaku is probably the strongest. Konohamaru has the most potential if he works hard at it, it's his mindset that he's the greatest that keeps him weak." Jiraiya nodded, they talked a little more before Naruto left.

The next day soon arrived and Naruto met his genin, he already knew what they would be working on today, teamwork! "Today we will be working on something that is essential on missions, teamwork. Even if you can't beat a person head-on, having two extra people can change the battle completely." all of them nodded, "Good, get in this position and we can start."

Naruto handed them a piece of paper showing how to get into position. They soon got in position and were ready to start, "Ok, so when you start to fight against my clone this is what you should do, Konohamaru you use the smoke screen jutsu. Hanabi you jump back and start fighting from afar until you run out of ammunition, then you can fight up close. Shuzaku, can you attack your shadow onto things correctly?" "Yes, but it takes a lot of chakra, even for me." "Ok good, attach your shadow onto the enemy and use your brain to control where he should go for the easiest kill."

All of them nodded in understanding, Naruto then created a clone and they got to work. Konohamaru created an ash screen, it was much better than when he first used it and it can now actually block vision. "Now!" shouted Konohamaru officially starting the attack. Hanabi leaped back and threw a volley of senbon at Naruto's clone. The clone easily caught all of the senbon and took no damage, Shuzaku waited until he could see and tried to attach his shadow onto Naruto's clone. The clone appeared next to Shuzaku, all he could do was put his arms up and block, even with his strength training he was still not strong enough to even take a casual kick from a Naruto clone that was holding back.

Konohamaru charged at Naruto ready to punch him, he had tried to get him to use chakra blades but he didn't want to, or at least not yet. "I'm going to crush you!" Naruto easily blocked and dodged all of his attacks, "You know you really are bad at this." "Now you're mine!" Konohamaru threw a strange kick at Naruto but Naruto was no longer in front of him! "Key shinobi rule 1, don't ever let your enemy get behind you." Naruto placed his hand on Konohamaru's back and focused some wind into it, sending him flying!

Hanabi came from behind him and attacked Naruto, "Don't let enemies get behind you sensei!" Naruto spun around and grabbed her hand, "Key shinobi rule number 2, genjutsu, always be ready for it." Naruto easily put Hanabi under a genjutsu that put her to sleep. Naruto woke her up again.

"Man this sucks, even with teamwork it didn't work!" Naruto shook his head, "I bet most genin teams would have been beaten by that." "What about when you were a genin?" "I would have beaten you guys easily." Konohamaru was obviously mad they didn't win. "After practicing more MAYBE I can get you guys a match against some other genin." that brightened his spirits and they got back to practicing!

Rather than going to Kunugigaoka Junior High Class 3-E, Korosensei goes to be a teacher at UA (replacing Eraser Head).

Assume the same situation as the original in regards to Koro-sensei. Koro-sensei is their teacher and is not allowed to harm them. Quirks can harm him but he has a strong resistance. Assume no direct outside interference (pro heroes or assassins coming to kill Korosensei). But other teachers can still attack him.
