It was the fourth day since we arrived on this island; nothing significant had happened. The Kagaya clan was still in turmoil, and Kiri ninjas were on guard, waiting for them to attack the village so they could eliminate them.
.
My training never stops, even for a minute. Every time I practice my chakra control or elemental manipulation, or my Byakugan, or sometimes read books on various topics like medical ninjutsu, Hyuga fighting techniques, or some other types of Jutsus. In my free time, I spar with Ren to fill the spot of my brother.
.
In the past three days, I instructed Haku to run laps, and do some push-ups, pull-ups, and some basic exercises to make his body fit for future training.
At the end of every day, he was completely exhausted.
*puff*
I closed the book I was reading and sealed it in the scroll with a sound of puff.
.
This inn had a normal-sized courtyard behind it with some winter trees and a pool. The only people staying in this inn were just us.
Opening the door, I entered the courtyard and looked at Haku, who was running laps with a determined expression on his face.
.
"Haku-chan, let's do some real training," my voice woke him up from his trance.
He quickly ran towards me. He quickly looked left and right, and when he found nothing, he spoke, "So what will you going to teach me, Hinata?"
This was not the first time he had called me by my name; whenever we were alone, he always called me by my name.
.
"It's a high-speed movement technique; pay close attention to me and remember these hand signs." With a single hand sign, my body disappeared from his sight and appeared twenty meters away in an instant.
"Wow…" he exclaimed in amazement.
"Now don't be so surprised; it's nothing but a D-rank Jutsu. Let me teach you its inner workings so you can perform it in the best ways possible.
It releases a burst of chakra from the tenketsu of our feet. Some people could use it without any hand signs and add some effect to it—some leave the sand, leaves, water, ink, and many elements behind while performing it.
And you, Haku-chan, have ice release, so you could also use it while performing it, but it will take some time." I told him everything about this jutsu, which he eagerly and with full concentration heard.
.
He tried to do the hand signs, but I grabbed his hand. "Don't be impatient, Haku-chan; it's not time for this. Let's move on to the other thing."
Making some distance away from him, I tossed a kunai to him. "Attack me with all you've got."
.
He nodded and observed me for a moment, then ran towards me with his full speed. He slashed his kunai diagonally, and with a slight push to my leg, I jumped back. He raised his kunai upwards, then in a stabbing motion, he thrust it towards me.
Raising my hand, I swiftly deflected his hand, and with my other hand, a chakra scalpel appeared on my two fingers. With two simple touches, I hit both of his shoulders.
*Thud*
With a thud, the kunai in his hand hit the ground, and both of his hands went lifeless. He tried to move his hands, but nothing happened; he looked at me with a panicked expression.
.
"Don't give me that look, Haku-chan. It's called pressure points; if you press them, you could immobilize anyone," I told him. The pressure points were different from chakra points/tenketsu, but they were also used in the gentle fist.
Pulling out a senbon needle, I pressed it on his shoulders. "It only works if you press the point with the exact pressure it needs. If you apply too much or too low pressure, it won't work." I taught him practically.
.
I knew he had talent for assassination. If he could fool Kakashi into believing that Zabuza was dead even after checking, and he didn't find anything wrong, this only showed how skillful and talented Haku was.
.
"Let's continue," then I started to teach him taijutsu moves that were based on agility and speed, and just like this, some hours passed; he was absorbing everything like a sponge.
At the end of the training session, his condition was not so good; I didn't go easy on him.
"Let things end here," I said and walked towards the pond, indicating for him to follow me.
.
"Let's see how your kekkei genkai works," I said excitedly.
A bucket full of water was in front of us. "Try to freeze it."
"But how should I do that?" he asked me cluelessly.
"Just put your hands on the water and pour your chakra," I told him.
Putting his hands on the water's surface, he looked at me, not knowing what to do next. It was impossible for him to move his chakra and pull it out from his hands. That's why hand signs were made.
.
"Remember this feeling, Haku-chan," I said and put my hands on his wrist.
'How many times have I had to teach someone like this,' I thought, but it was the best way.
Activating my Byakugan, I looked at his pathways, and some chakra strands entered his chakra system, slowly guiding his chakra towards his hands, and started to leak out.
"Now just think about freezing it," I said, looking at his determined expression. Soon, the upper layer of water started to freeze, enhancing my vision. I observed how his chakra was transforming into ice. 'Hmm, so that's how it is,' a perfect mixture of wind and water elements. It was genetic; just thinking about freezing, his chakra was transforming on its own.
.
"That's good," but as soon as I removed my hands from his, everything stopped. My chakra was working as a motor that pumped his chakra outside his body.
"How do you feel, Haku-chan?" I asked him.
"It feels good, but why isn't it working anymore?" he complained.
.
"Hehe… don't be like this. Practice hard every day; you will get it. Not only can you freeze it, but you can also control it and make weapons from it," I said in an encouraging voice.
"Really?" he asked.
"Yes."
"You have to invent your own Jutsus; I don't have any scrolls for ice release. But the more you understand your kekkei genkai, the easier it will become for you."
.
"Can I create my own cool Jutsus?" he asked excitedly.
"Of course, Haku-chan. You can do anything. Remember, you have the potential to become the strongest ninja in the world."
'I didn't lie to him. Technically, everyone has the potential to become the strongest. It depends on their talent, how hard they practice, and mainly whom they are learning from.'
'As for Haku, he is learning from the best, so he is bound to be extraordinary.'
.
"Train well, Haku-chan," I said to him and gave him a book on pressure points.
"I will not disappoint you," he said, receiving the book.
"That's the spirit."
—
Soon, days started to pass, and one more week passed without anything happening. I trained on my own and taught Haku every day, so days weren't that boring. But I could feel the tension in Kiri ninja patrolling around the town.
'The massacre is about to begin,' I concluded.
