Trapped

Walking into the hotel room with Tsunade, a bad smell of alcohol hit Sato's face.

The room was a mess of sake bottles and old clothes, a complete smelly dump.

"I expected your place to suck after seeing your attitude towards life, but this is just a rotting garbage dump."

Sato frowned and gave a negative review pretty much instantly.

Tsunade paused then broke the bottle she was holding with a click.

"Shizune didn't have time to clean up, you are a ninja, deal with it."

Tsunade was ashamed, she had forgotten that her clothes were thrown around everywhere.

She shouldn't have brought Sato in before cleaning up!

"You can sit with me, this part is relatively clean."

Tsunade cleaned up the floor and sat down with a huff, she was then waiting for Sato to join her on the side.

Sato didn't exactly move, he was silently standing lost in his thoughts, this situation was reminding him of his old collage days.

The difference was that he used to sit with friends, not enemy ninjas who could kill him.

"I see.."

Sato heavily nodded, he went ahead and sat down infront of her.

They were both sitting on the floor looking at each other, nobody was talking, both wanted the other to speak first, whoever spoke first would lose their authority.

So they kinda just looked at each other, awkwardly.

'This is a mess, she has no negotiation skills.'

Sato could no longer take this, Tsunade was supposed to speak first and then throw the problem to him.

That was how the weaker party was supposed to negotiate.

It was negotiation 101.

"Your brain has rotted away from all the alcohol."

Sato casually insulted Tsunade, which made her pop veins on her forehead.

"Get to the point already!"

Tsunade gritted her teeth, she was waiting for some bad news to drop and was getting impatient.

"Alright, if that's how you wanna do it."

Sato rested his chin on his hand and sat cross legged.

"I am a Ninja from the Hidden cloud, sometime ago an Uchiha jonin contacted me."

"I was surprised, he was in critical condition when he came to me, turns out he was attacked by someone."

Tsunade frowned, there was a lot of information in these few sentences.

Sato continued the story with a smile.

"His name is Shisui Uchiha, Konoha's war hero, I assume you know him he is pretty famous."

Tsunade nodded with a deep frown on her face, she was confused and wanted to know who attacked Shisui.

And why he contacted Hidden cloud instead of the Hokage.

"You might be wondering why Shisui contacted us, a foreign village instead of Konoha's Hokage."

"The truth is, Shisui was attacked by the Konoha higher ups themselves, they wanted to kill him."

Tsunade's eyes shrunk, Sato continued without any care.

"After he was attacked, he managed to steal some information before running away."

"Do you want to know what he found?"

Sato put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a bunch of papers.

These papers had all the information Shisui had seen in Konoha's root department, the department Danzo, one of the elders controlled.

This was Sato's evidence, he was going to threaten the Hokage with this but Tsunade got to see it first.

*Flip*

Tsunade silently flipped the pages and got more and more angry each second.

She then became completely silent after seeing Konoha's last plan, they were planning to kill every man, woman and child of the Uchiha clan.

Sato continued with a shrug after Tsunade had read everything.

"Konoha wants to exterminate the Uchiha clan but Shisui wanted peace, this is why they want to kill him."

"When Shisui found out about this, he could no longer trust the village."

Shaking his head Sato said.

"We might be from different villages but I am his friend, he had no choice but to go to me now that he couldn't trust Konoha."

"Infact he wanted to die after telling me everything, but I stopped him."

"Honestly, he lived just because I told him that I'll do something about this."

Sato looked helplessly at Tsunade, he acted as if he wanted to help Shisui but had no way of helping.

"But I am not the Hokage, I don't have the power to decide Konoha's affairs."

"This is why I came to you, if I have someone from Konoha helping me out, I'll be able to save Shisui's family without a war breaking out."

"You are the Senju princess, your clan is famous for being helpful, I was hoping you could help me."

Sato said softly, he was totally lying right now, he was not as helpless as he said he was, far from it.

He could easily save the Uchiha by allying himself with the Hyuga, her help was nice but he didn't actually need it.

Although he was curious to know what she would do after knowing all this information.

Even after losing her will to live she was a compassionate person, she didn't know about this incident in the original story so she didn't do anything.

Yet she had a choice now, what she would do with this choice was entirely upto her.

Meanwhile Tsunade's eyes were foucused on one page, it recorded Danzo's plans, he wanted to kill the Uchiha just to take their eyes.

That was it, he had no grand plan, he was just a greedy rat who was afraid of the Uchiha and wanted their power.

"...What does this have to do with me, massacre or no masscare."

"I have left the village, I am no longer a part of Konoha."

Tsunade finally managed to squeeze out this sentence.

Sato paused, then slowly tapped the wooden floor below him in thought.

"So this is your answer? Disappointing."

"I expected more from you, I thought you were better than this."

Sato shook his head, Tsunade had rotted away, before Naruto talks her out of her depression, she was a lost cause.

"I have nothing more to say then, pretend we never met."

"Good day."

Sato got up and turned around, but was suddenly stopped from walking when a hand held his leg.

"...Wait."

Tsunade said with gritted teeth, and Sato slowly smiled in his mind.

There, the fish was hooked.

"Tell me about your plan first, I don't trust the hidden cloud, so I will go with you."

Tsunade made up an excuse to interfere with the Uchiha situation.

She really couldn't sit still after knowing a masscare was about to happen in Konoha.

"Wonderful, truly wonderful!"

"There's the confidence I expected to see in the first Hokage's granddaughter."

Sato clapped his hand with a wide smile, Tsunade somehow felt uncomfortable seeing that smile.

She felt like Sato had expected her to react this way, and he was controlling the situation the entire time.

This was making her feel very uncomfortable, she wanted some answers.

"Before we leave, can you tell me what you would had done if I refused to go with you just now."

"As far as I understand, you need my help."

Tsunade asked Sato, who had a happy smile on his face.

"If you refused to help, I would have pretended that you were the one who gave me all this information."

"You were trapped the minute we had a private meeting, everyone saw us walking into this place together."

"No matter what you say after this, everyone will think you leaked the information to us~"

Tsunade widened her eyes, this was a set up.

She was completely caught in the palm of his hand, he had predicted her actions and had plans in place in case she refused.

No matter what she does she was doomed.

'I knew it, terrible things happen everytime I win a gamble.'

'My peaceful life is over, Sarutobi Sensei will think I am working against him now, those idiots will think I am doing it for the Hokage position.'

'I might really became a missing ninja if Sensei thinks his Hokage poision is in danger!'
