46 Looming threat

After Shisui dropped him at the guesthouse where the Cloud Shinobi were staying, Sato went inside and informed Yugito about the newly made deal with the Hyuga.

C quickly sent the good news to the Raikage and the trio of Sato, Yugito and C slept off after that.

After 8 hours of rest, it was morning and with this, Sato's mission to the hidden leaf was officially over.

In the guest house, Yugito was making some final preparations before leaving, one of them included giving Sato as much of Matatabi's chakra as possible.

Sato's information was leaked to the other villages, they could encounter bounty hunters on their way back, she wanted him to be in his strongest possible state so that he could defend himself.

"Ugh, Sister, I think I can handle a bit more of Matatabi's chakra than before."

Sato groaned, a tailed beast's chakra wasn't so easy to control so he was having trouble, but he could feel that Matatabi personally controlling her chakra made it much easier for him.

Matatabi removed most of the corrosive properties of her chakra, and made it much more gentle for Sato.

This helped Sato's body adapt to Matatabi's chakra way sooner than someone with his average talent should be able to.

He usually overcomes his average talent using his sharp mind, yet in reality, his body was still that of a background character and was incredibly average in talent.

'But because of Matatabi's gentle chakra, my body is constantly learning to handle more and more chakra.'

'Even my personal chakra amount is increasing because Matatabi is helping my body adapt to high levels of chakra everyday.'

'My personal chakra amount went from civilian child level reserves to academy student level reserves, all because of Matatabi.'

A tailed beast with her immense chakra was helping Sato with a lot of care, even a background character like Sato was bound to become stronger under these conditions.

He was essentially a level 1 player using a level 100 player to gain experience, under these conditions, his average talent didn't matter at all!

He might as well be a real genius as long as Matatabi was around.

Suddenly, the tailed beast chakra cloak surrounding Sato began to bubble, as if it was boiling corrosive plasma.

Yugito immediately stopped as soon as that happened.

She said after taking her hand back, wiping her sweat she smiled at Sato.

"I am shocked brother, not only did your personal chakra reserves reach academy student levels, the maximum amount of Matatabi's chakra you can handle has also gone up a lot."

"Without Matatabi's chakra you are a solid genin in fighting ability, with her chakra you are almost a jonin level Ninja, the only thing you lack is experience."

Yugito felt proud of her brother, although she knew that Sato thought all his progress was only because of Matatabi's help, but that wasn't true at all.

The reason he could progress so fast was because he took the initiative to work together with Matatabi, he even managed to control her chakra on the first try, that was purely because of his efforts.

She was a jinchuriki, so she knew best that working together with a tailed beast was what helped Sato progress so quickly.

He was thinking in the wrong direction if he thought he had become stronger just because of Matatabi.

"Sato, you shouldn't underestimate yourself, not many in your place would be able to do what you did."

"Even if someone had Matatabi's help, they would just waste their chance if they themselves didn't work hard."

Sato was startled, he didn't think his sister would understand his thoughts so easily.

After some thinking, he realised that she was right as well, he truly hadn't thought that his efforts were important in the grand scheme of things.

He was underestimating himself all this time, Sato's talent didn't show itself in his body, but that didn't mean his mind was any less important.

He could progress so much not only because of Matatabi, but because he had the ability to make use of Matatabi.

"I see.. Thanks for telling me sister, I understand now."

Sato smiled a happy smile, he felt much better now, after all, his hard work all this time was not going to waste.

But now wasn't time to be happy, he had to control this immense amount of chakra inside of him now.

And for that, he had the best idea possible.

"Hinata, Neji, you two look inside me and tell me what you see, tell me how Matatabi's chakra reacts with mine, that will help me control her chakra much better."

This was his idea, using the two Hyuga children who were sitting besides him all this time.

He wanted the two Byakugan users to look inside him and understand how Matatabi's chakra fundamentally works inside him.

All this time he had to control her chakra by feelings alone, but his two new henchmen can see all chakra in the greatest detail possible.

They can even zoom into his body at the microscopic level after they develop their Byakugan more.

Byakugan was one of the most broken dojutsu when someone knows what they were doing.

A Byakugan user can become incredibly deadly as long as they didn't solely rely on their eyes for strength like an Uchiha does.

But sadly, this will never happen in the Hyuga clan, Hyuga thinking in general was limited by their incredibly old clan system.

Because of that not even one Hyuga managed to reach Kage levels of strength, they were a clan who practically crippled themselves.

"I- I Sato sama, I can't use my Byakugan yet.."

Hinata stuttered and put her head down, she was still small and didn't start her training.

Her chakra amount was barely enough to activate Byakugan but she didn't know how to do it yet.

She didn't want to disappoint Sato but she was powerless.

"Don't worry about it Hinata, I am sure you'll learn quickly, I'll rely on Neji in the meantime."

Sato didn't balme her, he just smiled and patted Hinata's shoulder warmly.

Hinata felt relieved and happy, she looked up and gave a shy smile to Sato, Neji meanwhile didn't disappoint and made a handsign.

"Byakugan!"

Neji exclaimed and veins popped up around his eyes, he could see inside Sato and found a red chakra mixing together with Sato's own chakra.

Because he had a Byakugan, he could also make out muscles, blood vessels, nerves and even the smallest flow of chakra in Sato's veins.

This made it possible for him to understand how everything worked even if he had encountered this situation for the first time.

"The red chakra is flowing like this.."

Neji started to tell what he saw and Sato worked according to that information.

Just like that time passed and within 5 minutes

Sato managed to control all of Matatabi's chakra, what took him hours to control before, he managed to do it in 5 minutes this time around.

Because of Neji, he knew exactly how Matatabi's chakra was mixing with his this time around, and he managed to accelerate the process using that information.

This was letting him adapt to her chakra exponentially faster than before.

All this could happen because of the Byakugan, someone like Sato could use the Byakugan to it's fullest potential and it showed.

"You did it Sato, good job-"

The door to their guest house was knocked and C quickly came inside after telling them a code.

He didn't bother to make any small talk and seriously looked at everyone.

"We need to move, Raikage sama sent a message, a legendary bounty hunter has taken Sato's bounty."

"His name is Kakuzu, the Ninja who once assassinated the first Hokage."
