Yuto glanced over at Hitomi, who was carefully packing her bag. He clenched his fists, trying to calm the anxiety bubbling in his chest. 'This is it,' he thought. 'The Uchiha Massacre... tonight's the night.' His mind replayed everything that was about to happen. He had to ensure things unfolded in his favor, no matter the cost.
Iruka had asked Hitomi to stay behind to help after class, which gave Yuto the perfect excuse to tag along. "I'll help too!" Yuto had volunteered eagerly, not wanting to leave her alone. Naruko had groaned in protest but followed anyway as the trio was almost inseparable, only seperating to go their respective home's. He could feel her annoyance radiating off her as they moved equipment around the academy.
'I hope everything goes smoothly,' Yuto prayed silently as they transported the obstacle course equipment to the next room. The trio worked in quiet coordination, placing the items where Iruka instructed. It gave yuto something to focus on while suppressing the dark tension that clouded the day.
"These are gonna be useful," Naruko remarked casually as she inspected one of the traps. "We'll need sharp senses to avoid stuff like this as ninjas."
"Yeah," Yuto replied absently.
After they were done, Iruka handed each of them a set of wooden shuriken. "These are for practice," he said warmly. "Next year, the academy will officially start your training with them. But I thought you might want to get a head start."
"Thanks, sensei!" Hitomi smiled at him softly.
Naruko grinned and thanked him as well.
Yuto pocketed his set. 'So the ninja tool throwing starts next year. A distraction to keep my thoughts away for now... but it won't last.'
After saying their goodbyes, the trio walked toward the Uchiha compound. As they neared the entrance, Hitomi frowned, glancing back at them. "Why are you two following me home?"
"I miss Aunt Mikoto's curry," Yuto said smoothly, putting on a fake grin to mask his true feelings. "Plus, it's been a while since we hung out at your place."
"Same here!" Naruko added quickly, almost too eagerly. "I wanted to see Aunt Mikoto too. I miss her."Mikoto always treated naruko as her daughter,so naruko was quite fond of her and thought about her as her mother figure.
Hitomi sighed but didn't argue. "Fine, but don't slow me down. I want to be home soon."
The walk felt longer than usual, a heavy sense of dread growing in Yuto's stomach with each step. 'Stay calm, Yuto. It's happening tonight, but you can still change things. Just stay focused.'
But nothing could have prepared him for what they saw next.
As they approached the compound gates, the sight of the Uchiha guards lying motionless on the ground in pools of blood hit them like a punch to the gut.
Hitomi froze. "No... NO!" she screamed, dashing toward the bodies. She dropped to her knees, shaking them frantically. "Wake up! Please, wake up!" Her voice cracked, tears threatening to spill from her eyes.
Naruko stood paralyzed, staring at the carnage before them. "W-what... what's going on?" she stammered. "Why... why are there so many...?"
The compound was eerily silent, with shattered glass from broken windows littering the ground, reflecting the crimson of the blood staining the streets. Bodies of Uchiha clan members lay scattered, lifeless. The horror of the scene was too much to comprehend all at once.
Hitomi suddenly shot to her feet and sprinted toward her house. "Mom! Dad!" she cried, her voice filled with panic.
Yuto followed right beside her, heart racing. 'Aunt Mikoto… please be okay...'
Naruko trailed behind, fear making her steps hesitant. "W-we need to get someone's help… Something isn't right...."
The door to Hitomi's home was wide open. Inside, a suffocating pressure of killing intent filled the air.
"Mom! Dad!" Hitomi screamed as they stepped inside.
Standing above the lifeless bodies of Mikoto and Fugaku was none other than Itachi Uchiha. His cold eyes gleamed with malice as he gazed at the trio. Hitomi gasped, her whole body trembling. "B-brother… why?"
Itachi's voice was cold and devoid of emotion. "I killed them to prove my strength. To show that I am stronger than them... stronger than all of you."
Hitomi fell to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably. "No... no, this can't be happening! You… you killed Mom and Dad?!"
Naruko, fists shaking with rage, screamed, "You monster! How could you do this?! They were your family!"
Itachi's expression remained blank, but Yuto could feel the tension rising. His mind raced. 'I have to protect them. I can't let this get out of control.'
Stepping forward, Yuto pushed Hitomi and Naruko behind him, his legs trembling but firm. "I... I won't let you hurt them!" His voice shook, but his resolve was unwavering.
Itachi's eyes flickered with something unreadable as he stared at Yuto. "Do you really think you can protect them from me?" he asked, his tone as calm as if he were asking about the weather.
Naruko gritted her teeth. "Like hell we're letting you get away with this!" Her eyes flared, flickering between blue and crimson, the Kyubi's influence simmering just beneath the surface.
Yuto's pulse quickened. 'I have to stop her from losing control.' He turned to her sharply, for the first time raising his voice, "Naruko! Calm down! If you lose it now, we're all dead!"
His words snapped Naruko out of her trance, her crimson eyes fading back to blue. She breathed heavily, unknowingly suppressing the Kyubi's influence.
Hitomi, still crying, looked up at her brother with pure hatred. "You're not my brother anymore! I'll kill you for this!" Her Sharingan activated, spinning to reveal a single tomoe in each eye.
Yuto tightened his fists, glaring at Itachi. His own eyes began to shift, gathering chakra. Itachi's eyes widened slightly. "You have a bloodline too?" he murmured, intrigued.
Hitomi and Naruko watched in shock as Yuto's emerald eyes turned a deep, glowing red. "I won't let you hurt anyone anymore, Itachi!" he declared, standing his ground.
Hitomi's resolve hardened. "I'll avenge my parents," she growled, preparing to charge at Itachi. But Yuto grabbed her arm, stopping her.
"We can't win right now," Yuto said, his voice urgent. "Naruko, take Hitomi and go. Get to the Hokage Tower and get Grandpa. I'll hold him off."
"What?!" Naruko shouted, outraged. "I'm not leaving you here to die! We'll fight him together!"
But Yuto's eyes locked onto hers, filled with an intensity she'd never seen before. "I Promise you both we'd beat him one day. But today is not that day." He shoved Hitomi into Naruko's arms. "GO!"
Naruko hesitated, looking torn, but she finally nodded. "If you die, I'll bring you back just so I can kill you myself!" she barked before sprinting off with an angry revenge hungry Hitomi in tow.
As they disappeared, Yuto turned to Itachi. "Is anyone listening to us?" he asked coldly.
Itachi narrowed his eyes, his posture relaxing slightly. "No. We're in a genjutsu world. You can speak freely."
Yuto felt a chill run down his spine. 'He had me in a genjutsu this entire time, and I didn't even notice?' He swallowed hard, calming himself. "I know why you did this," he said quietly.
Itachi's eyes flickered with interest. "Oh?"
"The Uchiha were planning a coup, weren't they?" Yuto continued. "The village must've ordered you to stop it. You... you killed them to prevent a war. But you couldn't bring yourself to kill Hitomi."
Itachi's expression remained unreadable, but his silence spoke volumes.
"I won't tell her the truth," Yuto said firmly. "But don't hurt her. She'll never forgive you, and you're banking on that, aren't you? You want her to hate you so she can grow strong enough to kill you one day."
Itachi's gaze softened, if only for a moment. "You're very perceptive, Yuto." Then, the world around them began to distort.
When Yuto woke up, he was lying in a hospital bed. The room was dimly lit, and the night had already fallen. He blinked, disoriented, before hearing the familiar voice of the system.

Yuto's gaze fell on the E-Points displayed on the status screen. 'Three points... should I save them for the future?' He decided it was best to hold off for now. Instead, he turned his focus to the inventory. 'The mystery box...'
With a thought, the box opened, revealing a radiant swirl of chakra. As he concentrated, a new ability name appeared in his status screen.

'Hypnosis?' Yuto's heart raced at the revelation. This ability allowed him to place others in a hypnotic trance, mirroring the effects of the Sharingan's Genjutsu but offering a significant advantage—he could control those weaker or equal to him.
The possibilities surged through his mind. Unlike illusions that altered reality, Hypnosis provided direct control, something he desperately needed for the battles ahead.
He dismissed the screen, feeling the weight of his newfound power. 'I'll avenge you, Aunt Mikoto. I'll grow strong enough to protect everyone I care about.'
The fire of vengeance ignited within him. No more hesitation. 'I will train harder and smarter. They will all pay for what they've done.'
Yuto lay back, staring at the ceiling as plans for his training and future battles formed in his mind. "I will become stronger. And one day, I will make them pay."
