Chapter 30:Test Of Team 7!

The monster trio—Naruko, Hitomi, and Yuto—appeared on the academy rooftop. They noticed Kakashi standing there, casually leaning against the wall with his usual laid-back demeanor.

Kakashi's single visible eye curved into a lazy smile as he remarked, "You three sure took your sweet time getting here."

Naruko clenched her fists, visibly irritated. "What was that, you lazy old man?!"

Hitomi frowned, crossing her arms in annoyance. "You kept us waiting, and then you have the nerve to—"

Before the tension could escalate, Yuto quickly stepped between his two friends and Kakashi. Placing a calming hand on each of their shoulders, he flashed them a reassuring smile. "Let's not start this on the wrong foot, guys," he said gently, diffusing the situation.

Reluctantly, Naruko and Hitomi settled down, though they continued to glare at their new sensei. The trio then moved to sit in front of Kakashi, ready to see what this mysterious Jounin had in store for them.

Kakashi looked down at his new students, eyeing them with a relaxed, almost bored expression. "Alright, let's start with introductions," he said, his tone light but firm. "I'll go first so you get the idea."

He straightened up a bit, still leaning casually against the wall. "I'm Kakashi Hatake. I don't particularly like or hate anything. As for my hobbies… well, I don't really have any worth mentioning. I also don't have a goal for now." He paused, his single eye curving into a crescent as he smiled. "Now it's your turn."

Naruko and Hitomi exchanged confused looks. 'That told us nothing!' they thought in unison, slightly exasperated. Meanwhile, Yuto couldn't help but chuckle internally. 'The famous Kakashi Hatake—he's just as cool looking and acting mysterious as the legend from my old world,' he mused. Yuto was well aware of Kakashi's reputation in the anime, knowing that in his previous life, Kakashi was practically a meme sensation throughout the ninja world, known to everyone as the 'world's biggest celebrity ninja.'

Kakashi tilted his head. "Well? Don't leave me hanging here. Let's hear it."

Naruko eagerly began her introduction, her voice brimming with enthusiasm. "I'm Naruko Uzumaki! I love ramen—especially the ones from Ichiraku's—and training with my friends!" She paused, her eyes shining with determination. "I hate the three minutes it takes for instant ramen to cook… it's way too long!"

Kakashi's visible eye crinkled with amusement at that.

"And my goal…" Naruko's voice grew serious, her fists clenched with resolve. "...is to become the greatest Hokage, so everyone will acknowledge me!"

Kakashi's expression softened as he listened. 'Sensei, it looks like your dream lives on in her…' he thought, a faint trace of nostalgia flickering in his eyes.

Hitomi was next, her voice steady yet holding a hint of restraint. "I'm Hitomi Uchiha. I like tomatoes, training..." She hesitated briefly before continuing in a quieter tone, "...and spending time with my friends."

Yuto and Naruko exchanged a concerned glance but stayed silent as she continued. "My goal... is to rebuild my clan and kill a certain someone."

The room fell into a tense silence. Without hesitation, Yuto and Naruko placed supportive hands on her shoulders.

"We'll get justice for Aunt Mikoto together, Hitomi," Yuto said firmly.

"Yeah, we've got your back!" Naruko added, her eyes shining with determination.

Hitomi's expression softened, the corners of her lips lifting slightly as she nodded.

Kakashi observed the trio with a faint smile beneath his mask, clearly impressed by the strength of their bond. 'They're closer than most teams I've seen... Maybe they have a real shot at passing,' he thought to himself.

However, his eyes narrowed thoughtfully as he recalled what lay ahead. 'But let's see if their teamwork is strong enough to pass my test tomorrow.' He was well aware that the upcoming challenge would determine whether they truly had what it took to be Genin.

'The bond is great, but they need more than that to survive as ninjas,' he mused silently.

Yuto introduced himself confidently. "My name is Yuto Yamanaka," he began, his voice steady and determined. "I like ramen, dango, training, and spending time with my friends. I hate anyone who tries to hurt the people I care about."

He paused, letting his gaze sweep over Naruko and Hitomi before continuing. "My goal is to master every ninja art, surpass even the Hokage, and one day become the right-hand man of the future Hokage."

Kakashi nodded thoughtfully, intrigued by Yuto's ambitious dream. 'He's aiming high... Let's see if he can back it up.'

Kakashi gave the trio a lazy smile. "You've all got some interesting dreams," he remarked. "But if you want to achieve them, you'll have to work hard. That is, if you can even become Genin."

Naruko and Hitomi blinked in confusion. "What do you mean? Aren't we already Genin?" Naruko asked, crossing her arms with a frown.

Yuto, on the other hand, was deep in thought. 'So it's the bell test, just like in the original anime. He's going to test if we're fit to be a team.'

Kakashi chuckled, enjoying their reactions. "You see, the Academy exam you passed was just the first step. It only filters out those who have the potential. But the real test is still to come."

"Real test?" Hitomi narrowed her eyes, already feeling a bit irritated with this whole ordeal.

"Yes, the real genin test is really hard. So prepare yourself as most likely only 3 or 4 teams out of the 50 teams will pass this year." Kakashi said, his tone becoming more serious. "Tomorrow morning at 6 AM, meet me at Training Ground 7. Don't be late, and oh," he added with a sly grin, "I suggest you skip breakfast. You wouldn't want to throw up during the test."

With that cryptic advice, Kakashi vanished in a puff of smoke, leaving the trio alone.

Naruko pouted, "What's with that guy? First, he shows up late, and now he's giving us some secret test?"

Hitomi nodded, her eyes sharp. "He's definitely hiding something. But we'll show him what we're capable of."

Yuto smirked, glancing at his two teammates. 'This is it. The infamous bell test... Let's see if Kakashi-sensei underestimates us like in the anime. This is going to be fun.'

The trio exchanged determined looks, already feeling the challenge ahead of them. They knew that whatever Kakashi had planned, they would face it together as a team.

As the first light of dawn broke over the village, the monster trio—Naruko, Hitomi, and Yuto—sat waiting at Training Ground 7. The cool morning breeze swept through the field, but the three didn't seem to mind. They were ready.

Yuto glanced at the rising sun and then at his teammates. "I'm pretty sure Kakashi-sensei is going to be late again," he said with a knowing smirk. "We should use this time wisely. Let's set up some traps and come up with a strategy."

Naruko stretched her arms, cracking her knuckles. "Heh, that's a great idea! Let's give him a real surprise this time."

Hitomi nodded in agreement, her eyes narrowing with determination. "If he wants to test us, we'll show him what we're made of. Yuto, you lead the way."

Yuto smiled at their enthusiasm. He had always taken on the role of the strategist among the trio. From the moment they'd become friends, Naruko and Hitomi had naturally looked to him for guidance. "Alright," he said, rubbing his hands together, "here's the plan: we know that Kakashi is a high-level Jounin, so we'll need to be smart. Let's use the terrain to our advantage and set up a few traps to slow him down."

He pointed to the surrounding trees and bushes. "Naruko, you handle setting up explosive tags and tripwires. Hitomi, you'll use your fire-style jutsu to create some hidden hazards. I'll place some genjutsu traps to confuse him and create openings for our attacks."

Naruko grinned widely, already pulling out her ninja tools. "Got it! Kakashi-sensei won't know what hit him!"

Hitomi's lips curved into a smirk. "He's going to regret making us wait."

The trio quickly got to work, moving like a well-oiled machine. Yuto couldn't help but feel a surge of pride as he watched his teammates execute their roles with precision. 'We've come a long way together,' he thought, recalling their countless training sessions and missions in the academy.

Once they finished setting up their traps, Yuto gathered Naruko and Hitomi together. "Remember," he said seriously, "the key here is teamwork. Kakashi-sensei will definitely try to separate us, but if we stick together, we can overwhelm him."

Naruko gave a thumbs-up. "Yeah! Let's kick his masked butt!"

Hitomi adjusted her kunai pouch, her eyes gleaming with resolve. "We'll show him that we're not just kids. We're future legends."

With their traps set and strategy in place, all that was left to do was wait. The trio sat back down, hidden among the trees, ready for whatever Kakashi had in store for them. The sun continued to rise, but their anticipation only grew.

As time passed, Naruko began to fidget. "Ugh, where is he? If he's late again, I'm really gonna punch him in the groin like I promised."

Yuto chuckled at her impatience. "Relax, Naruko. The more time he takes, the better prepared we are."

Hitomi smirked, crossing her arms. "Just wait. When he does show up, we'll wipe that smug look off his face."

The trio fell into a comfortable silence, each of them mentally preparing for the challenge ahead. They knew Kakashi wasn't an easy opponent, but they were determined to prove themselves as the strongest new team in Konoha.

Little did they know, Kakashi was watching them from a distance, hidden in the shadows, his single visible eye curving into a smile. 'Impressive,' he thought, 'they're more prepared than I expected. This is going to be interesting.'

Soon Kakashi appeared at 9am. The girls yelled at him but he just said that he was late because he was finding his lost dog.

Yuto stood with his arms crossed as Kakashi explained the bell test. His mind immediately went into overdrive, analyzing the situation with precision.' I already know the rules of this test. Kakashi's going to test our teamwork, but the lie is that someone will always fail...' he thought, glancing at Naruko and Hitomi, who were still processing the information. 'The ruse of If one of us fails, the others will have to pass, and the test is as much about working together as it is about individual initiative. So the real challenge is ensuring we all make it through.'

He could already tell the girls weren't quite understanding yet, and he wasn't about to give away too much. He would let them figure it out for themselves. 'This test isn't just about strength; it's about trust and strategy. I'll have to be careful, though. It's not just about protecting my friends, but about how I work with them.' Yuto's eyes flicked to Kakashi, wondering just how much of the test would be an actual challenge to Kakashi. 'It's a game of expectations... and I'm going to make sure we pass it together.'

Kakashi stood in the center of the training ground, his lazy posture hiding the intensity of the test ahead. He pulled out a small clock from his pouch and placed it on a nearby log, the ticking sound immediately filling the air.

"Time starts now," he said with a nonchalant tone, looking at the trio. Without hesitation, the three teammates sprang into action.

Naruko darted for the trees, her footsteps light but hurried, eager to get into position. Hitomi moved quickly, finding cover behind a set of rocks, her eyes narrowing as she scanned the area. Yuto, calmly observing his teammates' movements, retreated into the treeline, positioning himself in a hidden spot. His Kamigan flared to life, and he could feel the faint aura of his teammates' positions.

'Now, it begins,' Yuto thought as he looked around, waiting for Kakashi's next move.

Naruko, frustrated by the long wait, suddenly snapped. She rushed toward Kakashi, determined to catch him off guard. As she dashed forward, she swiftly summoned 50 clones, all charging toward him.

Kakashi, unfazed, didn't even glance up from the book in his hand. His eyes only briefly shifted as he effortlessly dodged the incoming clones. With swift, almost lazy movements, he knocked some of the clones away with a single kick. The clones disintegrated upon impact, but he remained calm and composed, flipping a page of his book.

Naruko was infuriated. 'How could he just ignore me like this?! I'm not some joke!' She gritted her teeth, her determination fueling her rage.

Naruko saw a shuriken fly past her, signaling that the trio's plan was now in motion. She quickly body flickered away, creating more clones to distract Kakashi. Kakashi watched intently, puzzled by their tactics. He dispelled the last two clones, but before he could react, Hitomi emerged from the ground, using the smoke as cover. Kakashi, impressed by her strategy, dodged the kunai she threw at him. However, just as he jumped, he realized that the kunai were actually transformed Naruko clones, and he had narrowly avoided a trap. 'They're not playing around.' Kakashi thought.

Hitomi's fireball jutsu blazed toward Kakashi, who effortlessly dodged it, only to watch as three Naruko clones emerged from different directions, each attempting to catch him off guard. 'Clever. They're using their environment, the terrain... trying to box me in,' Kakashi thought, dispelling the clones with ease.

But just as his foot landed on the ground, he noticed something peculiar beneath him. The earth seemed disturbed, and before he could react, explosion tags detonated. 'Smart. These traps could easily overwhelm Chunin-level opponents.'

He swiftly body flickered away, narrowly avoiding the blast. 'They're improving... but I can't let them get too confident.' Kakashi observed from a distance, already forming his next move.

Kakashi's right hand continued to hold his book, unfazed, but his left hand caught a fist that appeared suddenly in front of him. He glanced up to see Yuto, whose eyes pulsed with energy. "Good control over Genjutsu," Kakashi remarked, "but you have a long way to go before you can use it against someone like me."

Yuto said nothing. His eyes flared with power as a solar ball materialized in his hand, crackling with potential. Kakashi's senses tingled, and he instinctively jumped back, narrowly avoiding the blast as Yuto's attack was poised to strike.

Yuto swiftly formed hand signs, and a swarm of crows appeared, blocking Kakashi's vision. Kakashi's senses sharpened as he felt his legs suddenly bound, only to look down and see Hitomi and nine Naruko clones holding him still. Naruko, with her clones at her side, restrained him while Hitomi lunged for the bells. But just as they were about to claim victory, Kakashi puffed into smoke, revealing he was a clone. The trio stood, irritated and frustrated at how close they had been to winning.

Yuto dispelled the crows and called out, "He is behind the trees!" Hitomi quickly activated her Sharingan and, with a few hand signs, unleashed the Phoenix Fire Jutsu—a series of small fireballs aimed at Kakashi. Kakashi, no longer holding back, discarded his book and easily dodged the flames, then body flickered towards the trio. Yuto, prepared, created a Solar Ball and detonated it to form a Solar Flare in Kakashi's direction, blinding him momentarily. "Scatter!" Yuto ordered, and the trio quickly dispersed, forcing Kakashi to search for them after the blinding light was over.

Yuto, Hitomi, and Naruko were hiding, formulating their next move. Hitomi asked, "Now what do we do?" Yuto, ever calm and calculating, said, "We use Operation Annihilation." The girls considered the plan for a moment before agreeing. This plan, designed for situations where they couldn't take down an opponent directly, was now going to be tested on none other than Kakashi. They were ready to execute it, determined to show their teamwork and abilities, knowing this would be a defining moment in their test.

Kakashi's eyes darted around, sensing the trio's plans unfolding. He saw Yuto step forward, making rapid hand signs. The next moment, a thousand Naruko clones emerged from the trees, their kunai raining down on him. Kakashi barely had time to react when one of the clones, packed with explosion tags, was launched at him by Hitomi, who had swapped places with another Naruko clone.

He instinctively leaped back, only to find himself surrounded. On his right, a massive swarm of crows swirled, blocking his vision, and a crow clone hovered, holding a solar ball ready to detonate. On his left was the army of naruko clones who kept throwing kunais at him. Behind him was Hitomi who blew a fire ball jutsu at him. Infront of him was Yuto who threw a solar ball at kakashi. Kakashi quickly assessed his situation—every possible escape route had been blocked. His heart raced as he was experiencing first hand the execution of their most devastating plan yet: Operation Annihilation.

Naruko clones continued to flood the area, throwing kunai from all angles. Hitomi, with her sharingan activated, began forming new hand signs. Kakashi couldn't afford to underestimate their combined efforts, but with the overwhelming number of clones and the deadly traps set in place, he was beginning to feel cornered. Yet, even now, he remained calm, knowing this would be the true test of his skill. He smirked beneath his mask, preparing to counter their final assault.

'They're clever,' Kakashi thought, his mind analyzing the situation. 'But they still don't understand the consequences of underestimating the speed of a jutsu master.'

Kakashi quickly assessed the overwhelming assault. In an instant, he created two shadow clones to handle the incoming attacks.

The first clone swiftly formed hand signs, summoning an Earth Wall Jutsu, which rose up to shield him from the barrage of kunai thrown by the Naruko clones. The sound of kunai clattering against the stone echoed through the training ground.

The second clone went on the offensive, charging up chakra to unleash Double Lightning Palm Jutsu. Blue arcs of electricity crackled between his palms as he aimed at the incoming fireballs from Hitomi and Yuto's solar ball attack. The lightning exploded mid-air, neutralizing both projectiles in a dazzling burst of light and heat.

Meanwhile, the real Kakashi turned his focus on the swirling mass of crows and the Yuto clone holding a solar ball. His hands blurred through hand signs before releasing a Wind Style: Great Breakthrough. A powerful gust of wind swept across the field, scattering the crows like leaves in a storm. The crow clone attempted to block the gust with its solar ball, creating a brief, blinding flash, but it was quickly overwhelmed and dispersed.

Yuto's eyes narrowed, his Kamigan flashing ominously as he shouted, "Phase Two!"

The Naruko clones sprang into action, each pulling out kunai wrapped in explosive tags. They launched them in a coordinated volley at Kakashi. Hitomi, taking advantage of the chaos, used Replacement Jutsu to switch places with a nearby Naruko clone. Appearing mid-air above Kakashi's first clone, she unleashed her Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu directly at its head. The flames consumed the clone, causing it to disappear in a puff of smoke.

Yuto, not wasting a moment, threw a kunai marked with Chakra Anchor technique towards Kakashi's second clone. As the kunai sailed through the air, he activated the chakra switch technique, using his Kamigan's special ability to switch places with it in an instant.

He appeared right in front of the second clone, his palm already glowing with a condensed Solar Ball. "Got you!" he declared, slamming the orb into the clone's chest. The resulting explosion sent out a shockwave, dispersing the clone into wisps of smoke.

Kakashi, witnessing his clones getting taken out one after another, couldn't help but be impressed.

'They're not just strong—they're actually working together,' he thought, a proud smile hidden beneath his mask. 'This is turning out to be more interesting than I expected... but let's see how they handle what's coming next.'

Despite the overwhelming coordination and power of their assault, Kakashi still had several tricks up his sleeve, ready to challenge their teamwork further.

Kakashi's eyes narrowed as he vanished with blinding speed, darting toward the Naruko clones. The ground behind him erupted in explosions as he skillfully dodged the kunai with explosive tags, the detonations sending dust and debris flying into the air. He swiftly pulled out his own set of kunai, hurling them at the approaching clones.

With a quick series of hand signs, Kakashi activated the Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu, causing his twenty kunai to multiply into four hundred in an instant. The barrage caught most of the Naruko clones off guard, dispelling them in bursts of smoke as they were overwhelmed by the sheer number of projectiles.

The real Naruko, recognizing the danger, body flickered away, reappearing beside Yuto to regroup. Kakashi's mind raced, 'If that girl learns elemental jutsu, this "Operation Annihilation" of theirs could become truly dangerous.'

In mere seconds, Kakashi had neutralized the remaining clones, leaving only the trio standing. He turned his gaze toward them as they huddled together, preparing for another assault.

"Not bad, but you're going to need more than sheer numbers to get those bells," Kakashi said, his tone calm yet challenging.

Yuto clenched his fists, his Kamigan glowing with a fierce resolve. 'We were so close... but we're not done yet. We'll show you what we're really made of.'

Hitomi's Sharingan spun rapidly, analyzing every move Kakashi had made. 'There's no way I'm letting this chance slip by. We just need one opening.'

Naruko gritted her teeth, her determination burning brighter than ever. "Alright, you two! Let's hit him with everything we've got!" she shouted.

Just as they were about to charge in unison, ready to unleash their next strategy, a loud ringing echoed through the training ground.

"Time's up," Kakashi announced, a hint of amusement in his voice. The trio froze in their tracks, realizing that the two-hour timer he had set earlier had finally run out.

The three Genin stood there, panting heavily, frustration and disbelief painted on their faces.

"Wait, does that mean..." Naruko started, but Kakashi simply nodded.

"That's right. The test is over."

Yuto's eyes widened in disbelief. 'Did we fail? Or is it going to go like it did during the anime? But all three of us worked like a team and naruko also showed exponential work so there is no reason to tie her up like in the anime.' he wondered, feeling a mix of disappointment and confusion. Hitomi's fists clenched, her Sharingan still activated as if ready for one last desperate attempt.

Kakashi looked at them thoughtfully, considering what to do next. The real test, after all, was only just beginning.

Kakashi gave the trio a critical look, letting the weight of his words sink in. "While it's true that the test is over," he began, "I was impressed by your teamwork, strategies, and individual skills. But here's the twist—" he paused, holding up two fingers. "I can only take on two of you as my students. The other will have to return to the Academy for another year. I'll leave it to you three to decide who should stay and who should go."

Naruko, Hitomi, and Yuto were stunned into silence. They exchanged bewildered glances, the tension between them palpable.

Yuto's mind raced, 'This is just like in the anime... Kakashi-sensei is testing our bond as a team. He's trying to see if we'll turn against each other for a chance to pass.' He could see the gears turning in his teammates' heads as well, but he quickly realized the correct answer.

Naruko's eyes flickered with uncertainty. "W-What? That's not fair, Kakashi-sensei! We're supposed to be a team! How can you ask us to choose someone to kick out?"

Hitomi narrowed her eyes, her hands clenched into fists. 'Are we really going to let this divide us? No... we've come too far together to give up on each other now.'

Kakashi merely shrugged, his expression unreadable beneath his mask. "Life as a ninja isn't fair, Naruko. Sometimes, you have to make tough choices. I'll give you a few minutes to decide."

The trio huddled together, whispering among themselves. Yuto leaned in close, his voice low but firm. "Listen, you guys, i think this is just another part of the test. Think about it... he's trying to see if we'll betray each other to get ahead. But if we refuse to choose, we might pass together."

Naruko's eyes widened in realization, "You think so? Man, that's so sneaky! But it totally makes sense..."

Hitomi's eyes softened as she looked at her teammates, a small smile tugging at her lips. "You're right, Yuto. We started this together, and we'll finish it together. We are the idiot trio after all. If we fail, then we fail together." Naruko readily agreed with her while the trio chuckled at their nickname, the idiot trio.

Yuto nodded at the two, feeling a swell of pride in his chest. 'I knew they wouldn't let me down. This is what true friendship means.'

The trio turned back to Kakashi, who was casually leaning against a tree, flipping through his book again. "So, have you made your decision?" he asked without looking up.

Naruko stepped forward, her voice filled with resolve. "Yeah, we have. We refuse to choose anyone to kick out. If we fail because of that, then we fail together!"

Hitomi and Yuto nodded in agreement, standing beside her with unwavering determination.

Kakashi closed his book with a soft snap and looked at them with an approving eye smile. "Well, well... you've all passed."

The girls blinked in confusion while Yuto had formed a huge grin on his face. "What? But you said—" Hitomi started, but Kakashi interrupted her.

"The true purpose of this test wasn't about skill or power. It was about your ability to work together and put your comrades above yourselves. In the world of shinobi, teamwork is more important than individual strength. Those who break the rules are scum... but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum. Remember that in your heart."

Yuto, Naruko, and Hitomi felt a wave of relief wash over them as they realized they had made the right choice. Naruko couldn't help but pump her fist into the air. "Yes! We did it!"

Hitomi chuckled softly, a rare sound that made her eyes sparkle. "I guess we're officially Team 7 now, huh?"

Kakashi nodded. "That's right. Welcome to Team 7."

Yuto's heart swelled with a mix of pride and excitement. 'This is just the beginning. The best plots of the Anime are coming soon!'

Kakashi gave them one last look before turning away. "We'll start our missions tomorrow. Make sure you're ready. Dismissed!"

As the trio walked away, celebrating their victory by going to ichiraku ramen shop, Yuto couldn't help but smile. 'I have passed the first hurdle... but I have a feeling things are only going to get tougher from here.'
